Zanith is 3 when he first arrives at Vedden'Saro. He is taken in by Nanarn primarily, but is meant to sleep, eat and other wise live with the rest of the younger boys. Zanith doesn't do particularly well at this and makes a habbit of sneaking into Nanarn's quarters while the older man is asleep.
During this time Zanith does not have any training. He is put to work doing basic chores and running errands for the older apprentices. He does not attend prayers or lean anything of the Cult during this time.

That said, he is not so afraid to question the actions of his gods any longer, with a life of experience giving him the wisdom to know when boundaries can be pushed. He is the key teacher in the area of worship through personal suffering, and is renown for both his ability to endure pain and inflict it.
He is often considered harsh, cold-hearted and unapproachable by the other priests (particularly those he trains), but deep down in side (very deep down) he does have a warm heart capable of some genuine affection. He's been truly in love only once in his life, but the war took his mate away from him not long after they met. This was about the time he began to realise that it was no longer possible to ignore the conflict between the two common nations.
He is happy to use violence to get whatever he wants, more often then not enjoying it. Mostly because that's his main role in the priesthood.

Nanarn was born into the cult, his mother being a concubine from the capital his father had met while visiting temples there. When he was born, his mother sent him back to the cult with nothing more in her mind then being rid of the hideous memories Nanarn's father had left her with.
Upon arrival at Veddo'Saro, Nanarn was bought into the priesthood and set to work, much like Zanith, doing trivial chores until he came of training age.

Temple of Zazzar on the Vedden'Saro Island Chain.
After adoption, Nanarn took Zanith to the the temple of Zazzar on the Vedden'Saro island chain, located several miles from the main capital of the Garrion.
The temple is not so much a single building, a series of buildings scattered across the island chain. Because the geography of the area is mostly made of small rocky mountains with patches of dry forest scattered between. Most of the man main structures on the islands are constructed from stone mined from the mountain sides or timber imported from one of the larger islands. The buildings of Zazzar's priests tend to be appear rather bland and undersized on the out side, but are often elaborately decorated and reach deep under ground (particularly those near the coast. These often extended into the sea caves that honey comb the cliffs long the edges of the island) within. This is mostly accredited to the sever weather that frequently ravishes the islands.
For the most part, Zanith resides in one of the main buildings along with Nanarn and several other trainee priests, sharing a room with the younger boys until he completes his early training (15). His keeper is on of the seven High Priests of Zazzar, which comes as a both a saviour and curse for Zanith - he is allowed a great deal more leniency from the lower ranking priests, but is expected far more from his master and his fellows.
Zaniths living quarters are not cramped until you consider the 13 other boys living along side him. When the room is full of loud and energetic children, the high ceilings and thick stone walls seem far to close for comfort. Zanith has a small corner of the room closest to the main entry point as he is the youngest and most recent addition to the Mah'Gorta trainees. He sleeps on a thin mattress against a stone paved floor. He has few possessions, with his valuables held by his Guardian in his own quarters.
THE FUTURE: Not long after Zanith turns 14, he and Nanarn flee from Vedden'Saro as war begins to break into their home thanks to an increase in air raids on any populated island, and increasing navel patrols in the area.

  Zanith is found on the 21st January, 2009!
Zanith is reluctantly adopted by Nanarn and spends his first five years working as a house servant and whipping boy to most of the older apprentices and Nanarn.
Zanith grows up to be a adolescent on the 17th January, 2010
