So what do you reckon? Will there ever be a Jewish president of the USA?

Most certainly, only trouble is the only one who even registers on the radar as a possibility right now is Joe Liberman, and he's bat s**t crazy, like Ron Paul only on the other side of the fence.

I don't know of any political leaders in the US that are Jewish. But maybe because I'm Canadian...
I think there is going to be a Jewish Prime Minister, though!

We've had a Jewish Prime Minister in Britain. Benjamin Disraeli won the election for the Conservatives back in 1874.

There's still too much antisemitism still lingering around and a lot people I know don't take Jews seriously. I don't will be getting a Kosher president anytime soon.

Behatzlacha-S We've had a Jewish Prime Minister in Britain. Benjamin Disraeli won the election for the Conservatives back in 1874. Disraeli is probably the most well known of the non-Israeli Jewish world leaders. Here in Australia, we've had one PM who was 1/4 Jewish but obviously thought nothing of his heritage (hell, the SOB recently tried to justify Hamas rocket attacks). And we've had two Jewish Governor-Generals. The Kiwis are beating us though. They've had 3 Jewish Prime Ministers, including their current one.

I wouldn't suggest voting for someone just because of their religion. Same goes with color or gender. The folks voting for Hillary primarily because she would be the first woman president, or Obama because he would be the first black president are just foolish.
It turns the job of president into a novelty.

To be honest it is extremely possible now that we have a president that is part black and part white who speaks English, Indonesian, and some Arabic. The doorway for minorities to become president have been totally blown open. So we may see a Jewish president in the near future.

One tiny problem, he is a native born Israeli who moved tot he US sometime ago, and as such cannot become president unless Obama dies or they add an amendment to the constitution that allows non-native borns to be president.
But that would be freaking awesome to have an Israeli as President of the US.
