Okay, so right after I go and dye my hair back to screaming bright red, I go on the makeup do's and don't cited from some Lolita bibles and such, and one of the first things said was to avoid unnatural hair colors! OI! I mean I love my hair, but it's definitly not at all conservative, EGL esque.

I mean I am more interested in punk, cyber, and gothic subfashions of Lollism [Sp?] so I might be able to pull it off... any ideas? What do you all think of unnatural hair colors? Is it acceptable?

I think it would look fine with the styles you like, and it would look especially nice with red or black outfits (not that you needed me to tell you that). Before worrying about fulfilling your "loli quota", you have to think about what would make you happiest. Unless you're happy with how you look, what's the point of getting all dolled up in the first place? Personally, I like it. I think it will make your outfits look even more coordinated and unique. 4laugh It looks good on you!

do what you like, as long as your doing it for your self it shouldnt matter.

you shoudlnt have to sacrifice so much just to be something. i mean i have red purple hair and from day to day im lolita, punk, or industral. just do what you like.

Personally I think it'd be great. I don't wear loli oulfits, yet anyway. I love unnatural hair colors! They make the hair of people nice and colorfu. I also think depending on the color you choose it gives people a certain statement ya know. Well if it makes you happy and everything then thats what counts. Be you no matter what.

She's had like.. every color of the rainbow. XD

Yeah, you should do what you like. It's true most lolis will try to have more "natural" hair colors (black, browns, blonde), but it doesn't matter as long as whatever you do looks good on you and makes you happy. X3

i have bright pink hair ^_^ it actually looks very cool with my loli stuff, considering all of its pink, black, and white with a bit or red or purple occaisionally. as long as you can coordinate with you hair, its all good.

White hair actually looks surprisingly good. I have a white wig that I love (you can see it on me here), but my hair is so dark that I couldn't manage to dye it white without severely damaging it. I love the look, though, and it would be really cute with a shirololi outfit! 4laugh

Even Mana does crazy ******** hair colours. Like blue. Or yellow. It's the natural colour of bleached asian hair, but come on, it's yellow, don't kid yourself. Then that uber pale blonde. Don't worry about bright red hair. Tis spiffy. I prefer pink. But that's just me... 3nodding
