Aki giggled to herself and bumped Kiroko on the shoulder as they trotted along the back allies of the city. "Lighten up, Kir. Leaving the city isn't that bad." Aki led Kiroko over a few fences and down a few paths and the two soon found themselves surrounded by trees instead of buildings. She took a deep breath of fresh air and giggled again at her uptight friend.

Kiroko rolled his eyes at his optimistic friend and grumbled. Somehow the rainbow spotted vixen had talked him into leaving his city to venture into the great outdoors. He rolled his eyes again and followed Aki into the trees. "This better be worth it, Aki. I need that inspiration to finish my painting." Kiroko looked at the trees, grass, flowers, and bushes around him. None of the colors spoke to him. Why did he let Aki talk him into this?

Borealis sat on a warm, sunny rock by her favorite pond in a forest clearing near the outskirts of the city. She gazed into the pond, watching the fish, thinking but not thinking at the same time. At the moment she was wondering about what the Modifoxes in the city did for fun. She had never ventured far into the city before losing interest. She preferred the cool green of her forest to the gray, lackluster tones she had found inside the city's walls.

(( I'm guessing the time is evening. Correct me if I'm wrong!))

A glistening purple figure slunk through the trees. She kept quiet, her paws barely grasing the ground, her tail a silent rudder for her motions. She sniffed the air hesitantly, her keener-than-normal-foxes sense of smell detecting many thing others would've missed. Like that there was a small pond nearby, a fox there, and maybe a few sun-warmed stones. The vixen, named Shroka, came to a circular clearing, a large white stone sticking out of the ground in the direct middle, the last of the sun's rays licking it eagerly.

She climbed said rock, fireflies dancing around her sleek form, and there she stood. She sensed that others were approaching, her ears and nose telling her thus. But she made no move to intercept the new comers. If fate wanted them to meet, so be it. So there she stood, on an illuminated white rock in wildflower cover clearing with fireflies winking in and out around her, facing away from the other foxes.

((EDIT!))

Aki bumped the green male again before jumping over him "Don't worry, I know the perfect place to spark your inspiration. Follow me!" She had barely gotten the words out before she took off in a side direction. Aki came upon the clearing so quickly she didn't notice the scent of another fox before she bust through the trees. She skidded to a halt and smiled to the vixen across the pond.

Kiroko nearly growled at the playful vixen as she bumped and bounded over him. He didn't have time to argue her as she dashed off. With a sigh he trotted off in her direction. Aki's scent was easy to follow and it didn't take long for him to find her standing in a clearing. As he approached her he noticed they weren't alone.

((Edit: Your font. I guess its evening lol. And sorry for the crappy short posts xd ))

It took Borealis a few seconds to realize that she was no longer alone in her clearing. She frowned as she looked up, slightly annoyed at the disturbance to her daydreaming, but she returned the vixen's smile as soon as she saw her, all annoyance forgotten. Her nose told her that the vixen and her friend were from the city. She sat up, stretched and hopped down off of her rock into the pond. She swam over towards the pair to say hello.

Yay! The new vixen had smiled back and had decided to come greet them. Aki playfully bounced back and forth at the edge of the pond. This is just what Kiroko needed, to meet foxes away from that darn city. Yep, Aki was just sure that before the night was over her green friend would be thanking her for such a wonderful idea. As she was waiting for the unknown vixen to cross the pond, a small breeze picked up and Aki caught the faint scent of another fox. Eager to make yet another friend, she raced off in the direction of the scent leaving Kiroko and the approaching vixen behind.

Ah, it was a vixen. Kiroko had only caught a quick glimps of her before she had merged with the water. He could only see her head as she swam towards them but he knew he was already intrigued by her colors. It was a good thing Aki was friendly enough to attract her over to them so that he could get a better look. As his mind spoke Aki's name, Kiroko noticed that rainbow touched vixen had taken off again. This time he didn't feel like following. He figured that she would lead anyone she could find back to him.

As the swimming vixen approached, Kiroko lowered his head, made a somewhat formal bow, and greeted her with his kindest "Hello."

(( So how about I totally ment to type your font is fine and not just "Your font." lol ))

Borealis hesitated for a moment when the rainbow tinged vixen darted off in another direction. She followed her with her eyes for a moment, wondering why she would do such a thing when she caught the scent of yet another fox nearby. Ahhh, that may explain it, she thought. She pulled her gaze away and swam the rest of the way to the shore to greet the young male fox that was accompanying said other vixen. She smiled at his formal greeting and bowed in return once she was on the shoreline. "Good evening" she said warmly. "What brings you and your friend here on this beautiful night?"

At the mentioning of him being out here instead of in town, Kiroko rolled his eyes and gave a small huff. "Well, I'm a city fox, a painter mainly, and my friend..." He looked in the direction Aki had run off in. "...Thought it may be a good idea to drag me out here in search of inspiration, since I currently have none." Kiroko looked the vixen over again and again. Now that she was out of the water he could see her colors and sort of pattern that flowed over her fur. Until about the fourth time he was looking her over did he realize that he was staring rather intently at her and most likely making her uncomfortable. "Sorry for my gaze. Your fur brings to mind a sort of galaxy or cosmos. You're rather interesting to look at." Thinking back on his words, Kiroko sighed and hung his head. He sounded like such an idiot. Being away from most of the modifox population and not really talking to his tribe, poor Kiroko didn't really know what to say when confronting females.

Borealis shifted slightly under the other fox's concentrated gaze and smiled gently at his apology and chagrined posture. "It's quite alright. You said you are a painter in need of inspiration? Your friend was right in her idea to bring you here." She looked in the direction his friend had ran in too. "Shall we see if we can find her?" The other fox's scent had piqued her curiosity as well, and she knew of a few good places that held inspiration for her thoughts and dreamings that she wished to share with this strange new fox. Realizing that she had never properly introduced herself, she turned back to him and said "I am called Borealis."

((i'm going to asume that there is a moon out) xd )

Tsuki walked through a forest near some stupid city. She would catch glimps of moonlight and the moon through patches in the forest. Everyonce in a while she would stop in a patch and just stand there.

Smiling, Kiroko nodded to the vixens questions. Once Borealis had given her name, he realized he had not given his. "Its a pleasure to meet you, Borealis. My name is Kiroko, but feel free to call me Kir." He turned and began walking in the direction Aki had taken off in. "Though I'm sure she will introduce herself to you later, my rainbow touched friend that we are going in search of is Aki." Maybe Aki was right after all. Maybe coming out here wasn't such a bad idea.

She stared at the fading sun, it's colors splashing along the sky. It almost made her wish that she had someone to shared this peace with. Or atleast be able to paint or capture it's beauty. She had heard of a gathering of art-talent foxes nearby, a Tribe as it were. Perhaps one day she would go and visit them.....

Shroka smelled the other foxes before she heard their voices. As her nose had told her, there were two females and one male. One of them had gone into the pond, the one orignally in the pond-cearing, as her scent become hard to follow. The other two, male and female, were from the city, the stench of metal and pollution clinging to their fur. A small breeze swept through her own clearing, the wind rippling through her fur and sending her scent to the other foxes. One of them broke off from the other two, heading for her general direction.

Her ears twitched at the sound of the city-female's approach. She continued staring at the sky, the fireflies dancing around her, as if she were their charmer, their hostess, their goddess. 'Just like the old times....', she thought, sighing sadly.

Not long after she had dashed from her friend's side, Aki bounded into another clearing. She was about to greet the new fox she found but stopped herself and stared in awe. The last lights of the sun were clinging to the clearing where fireflies danced around a vixen that almost matched the sky of the setting sun. It was such a beautiful sight that Aki didn't even think to speak to the vixen before taking off in a mad dash back to Kiroko.

She nearly knocked over a white and purple vixen on her sprint back to her friend. "Oh! Sorry!" She called over her shoulder as she barely slowed in her rush. But Kiroko was closer than she thought, for he had started walking towards her, and Aki didn't have time to skid to a full halt before reaching him. As she slid and crashed into him she knocked his feet from underneath him and he fell on top of her. After a moment of realizing what had happened she was wiggling out from beneth him and tugging at his ear. "Kir, Kir, Kir! Come quick, come quick! Run, run run!" And just like she had came, she dashed off as quickly as her feet would carry her.

Kiroko hadn't taken more than four steps in Aki's direction before she came busting threw the trees and crashing into him. "Aki! What on earth hap-" His words were cut short as his friend was franticly urging him to follow her. And then she disappeared again. Kiroko gave a puzzled look to Borealis before taking off after Aki.

Borealis nodded her acknowledgment to his introductions and replied "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well" before turning back towards the part of the clearing Aki had disappeared through. She caught the scent of yet another fox, a vixen it smelled like, just as she heard Aki call out "Sorry!" at the same moment she burst through the trees ahead of them. She chuckled at her new friends interactions, sensing that confusion and not fear had sent Aki flying into Kir. She returned Kir's puzzled glance with a smile before following him after the energetic vixen, wondering if they were mates.

((Sorry about the random disappearance, went out to dinner with my mom and two of her friends ^^))

Shroka shifted her stance slightly, flicking her tail in mild irritation as the sounds of the city-female approached, entered the clearing, turned and met up with the city-male and was now racing back to 'her' clearing with the other two foxes in tow. She inhaled through her nose, closing her eyes in a self-calming manner. She flicked her ears, trying to ignore the unstealthy approach of the returning female. She had a quick reminder of her past, and a breath caught in her throat.

As the city-female was about to brust through the trees, she opened her eyes. She looked over her shoulder at the intruder, liquid silver eyes flashing like fire in the setting sun and releasing all her emotions at once. Calmness, saddness, patience, sorrow, remorse, and heart-break. She turned and stared at some of the fireflies, her eyes flickering with the dyingemotions. The fireflies seemed to sparkle in excitement as Shroka finally took notice and looked at them.
