Lithia's Journal
This is where I'm going to be keeping information on my Gargoyles. It will be one Gargoyle to a post, unless I start writing a novel about them and then I might change the layout a bit.

.:: Some With Arrows, Some with Traps ::.
Name: Avery Gender: Male Age: Adult Clan: Dachaidh Post Color: 30402EObtained: Opening Event, Dice Roll Mate: -- Children: -- Friend: -- Enemy: --
History: Too old to be a kid, or even a young adult, Avery has many experiences under his belt. He has lived with his clan for his entire life, and has never thought to leave, though he has had dreams of unfamiliar lands and faces he would never find here.
He has never met his parents, and never searched for them. The traditions of the clan are with him, and he considers every member as close a family member as the rest.
A stalwart young Gargoyle, he has a lust for life that often gets him in trouble. He seeks thrill and danger, and would rather be gliding than walking any day of the week. He has a strange relationship with humans, not prejudice against them and yet not entirely good to them. To him they're entertaining, because they're easier to figure out and play with than many of his Gargoyle counterparts. So he spends a lot of his time in the market and the castle, even visiting the farms when he's bored.
Personality: Avery lives fast and loose. If he isn't moving, isn't occupied, isn't interested than he's probably miserable or complaining. He is inventive and intelligent, and constantly coming up with new plans or toys. Some work out and some... don't. Either way, so long as he gets his adrenaline pumping, he's content.
If crime were more common place within the clan, or the way of the Gargoyle, Avery would probably be responsible for a lot of it. But because he has no desire to cause harm to his own people, he sticks to making mischief and challenges for himself. He can be really annoying, even antagonistic, but he always manages to clean up his mess in the end.
Virtue: Fortitude -
Stubborn is too weak a word to describe him. He is determined, in every aspect of his life. He does not know the meaning of the word defeat, and will never let someone he cares about down. Even if that means great sacrifice on his own part, he will never make a mess that he can't clean up. Responsible for all his actions, well aware of his own recklessness, he cannot even fathom letting someone else be hurt or even inconvenienced by one of his thrill seeking schemes.
Vice: Lust -
He is thirsty for life and experience, and is very greedy for all he can get. He craves excitement in any form: be it the exhilaration of danger, the remarkable sensation of near-flying, or the heat of another's body. He's a reckless, and he has to do what he needs to, just to keep himself fulfilled. Or at the very least to stave off his greatest fear and biggest weakness: being idle and bored.
Gift: Dexterity -
Highly dependent on his wings, he is a Gargoyle who treasures his ability to glide. He dreams of true flight, and constantly pushes the boundaries of his own physical abilities. He is a deft glider, capable of speed and highly crafted maneuvering as well as moves he creates just to show off his own devotion to this art. A dancer of the sky, he is naturally light on his feet and, even though he doesn't like to, can run, leap, and climb with the best of them.
Curse: Presence -
Despite his attempts to be charming he is not the best in social situations. He has a habit of being very rude and sarcastic, because it's easier to get a reaction out of others when they're angry. His interactions are often brief, not too many Gargoyle quick to a brawl, and so he doesn't have too many friends. Or, really, any. He often sees others and their accomplishments and uses them, through a modicum of jealousy, to create new goals for himself. He wants to beat everyone, which often gets in the way of being friendly.

.:: Mad That Trusts in the Tameness of a Wolf ::. Name: Kozak Gender: Male Age: Adult Clan: Dachaidh Post Color: 695C4BObtained: Opening Event, Song Contest Mate: -- Children: -- Friend: -- Enemy: --
History: Kozak has long been interested in the ways of canine's. When he was a youngster he had a human friend who's pet dog was half wild, wolf blood running in his veins. One night the young duo and their canine companion had wandered into the woods for some fun, and run into a lone wolf. It had attacked and the dog fought it without a whimper or a moment of hesitance, despite being smaller and tame. Watching the dog become so fiercely loyal, so dedicated to a very Gargoyle idea of protection, Kozak was hooked.
He doesn't live in the woods, per se, but he does spend a good deal of his time there, with a pack of wolves that adopted him just as much as he adopted them. He is a part of their ranks, and moves with them in hunts and in play. Thus his movements are often on his four feet, his wings tucked tightly against him for a smoother run. What has become of his childhood human friend is unknown to him, their paths having parted in his youth. Maybe one day they'll be reunited, though it's unclear how their lives have deviated since the days of their friendship.
Personality: A gruff, rough and tumble sort of dude, he enjoys a good round of rough housing. He's not that well spoken, and rather opinionated, which is often blamed on his running wild in the woods. He is smooth and sarcastic, carefree and not hassled by the normal worries of life: both human and Gargoyle. He takes everything as it comes, and deals with it all in stride and in good humor.
That's not to say he doesn't have a temper. He doesn't take kindly to mockery or abuse of his canine friends, and will get violent if provoked. He is strong and knows it, not afraid to throw some weight around if it means protecting the things he cares most about. He also spends some time protecting the woods, and some humans who have dared poach wolves for their fur are learning to fear him. He's not too trusting of humans, though he sometimes appears at the castle to visit others of his kind and manages not to maul humans.
Virtue: Justice - Kozak has a very strong sense of right and wrong, and is loyal to a fault. He has a very low tolerance for animal cruelty, and only believes in hunting for what is needed. He believes in friendship and bonds that run deeper than blood, his clan being his equivalent of the pack in the woods. He has a profound respect for elders and authority, and tries to remain within the boundaries of the rules that guide all gargoyle kind. Of course, he is prone to go 'lone wolf' when his other convictions, his loyalty and the pursuit of justice, are in question.
Vice: Pride - He is a very proud creature, a lesson he has learned from the wolves. He knows how strong he is, and he likes to show off. He is antagonistic to others who show their strength, and often challenges others as if he's trying to establish some sort of dominance. He does not like being made to look like a fool, and his temper in these situations sometimes blinds him. He'll defend his pride and his own sense of honor to the last of his power, and will hold a grudge if he loses. He needs to find some way to redeem himself, even if it's reckless and has very little to do with the initial loss.
Gift: Strength - He's strong. Animal strong. Which makes him an ideal hunter and guard. He enjoys rough housing, and never shies away from a fight. He knows how to handle himself in battle and is good at not only keeping himself alive, but protecting those around him. Though he is not fond of taking life, he is not afraid to do what needs to be done in order to not only survive, but keep his pack, his clan, safe. He runs swiftly on four legs, though his gliding is not very acrobatic or swift. He only uses his wings when he needs to travel great distances, or cross high points in their mountainous home.
Curse: Presence - His pride and tenacity don't allow him much grace in socially situations. He has a hard time taming himself enough to make friends, though some people are charmed by his natural approach to life. He also finds walking on two legs just a little awkward, and is sometimes embarrassed by his swaying. If he stumbles in public he's liable to get angry about it, which tends to put people off him. He is very communal, though, in that he serves his people well and loves them all like the family they are. He's just bad at hanging out.
