Tama had been keeping his promise. The last three days, the white lion had been bringing Muscail enough food for she and her cubs, while keeping up with his own duties. Irit had accompanied him the first two days...but decided she had better things to do on the third, saying that he was doing good and not being TOO good for once. He had rolled his eyes at that. He loved his siblings...but sometimes, they were...well, strange.
And Tama was going back again, his latest kill with him. However, this time was different. He had convinced Narci to come with him...the reason he was dragging the kill a bit akwardly to avoid Narci 'getting himself dirty'. The black lion's vanity was annoying at times...but Tama wasn't about to try and change his friend. Narci seemed to be doing just fine.
As he approached the little grove, he grinned and trotted a bit faster, dropping the kill. "Muscail? I brought food and a friend!"

Narcissus padded along behind Tama and his kill with barely concealed annoyance, the frown on his face just enough to wrinkle his brow a little. He'd come to be of the opinion that showing some emotions, like anger, made one look ugly, so he'd begun to practice keeping a pleasant, beautiful expression on his face. Of course, it wasn't working to well today, but it came and it went.
He had no idea why he was out here with his companion, going to see some female that had captured his interest. He couldn't have cared less about some stranger female, but well... Tama had asked him and, despite all his selfishness, he had a surprisingly hard time telling him no. It was Tama after all. Few other things in life could get Narci to act in ways that weren't really part of his 'nature'.
He grumbled a little under his breath, but smoothed his face into something fairly polite, standing to the side and slightly back of his white reflection. He eyed the blankness of Tama's coat and pondered again if he could convince him to dress up all that smooth white with something... interesting. Like paint. His own black body shifted a little, the bright white paint tracing lovely patterns over it. Tama had such a good base for something like that, but he didn't seem interested in pretty tattoos.

Múscail had enjoyed Tama's company over the past few days. It had been refreshing, having someone other than her cubs near that she knew she could trust. But at the same time, it made her miss Codail. At the sound of approaching footsteps, her ears perked slightly and she gazed out of the grove. She didn't even need to hear Tama's proclamation to know it was him. She'd all but memorized the sound of his footsteps by now.
With a pleasant smile, the pale lioness stepped out, leaving her cubs to sleep in the grove. It had been a long time since she'd seen Ia'eh dreaming so peacefully.
"Blessed be, Tama."

The white lion bowed his head in respect and greeting, the grin still on his maw. "Blessing to you as well, Muscail." He motioned to Narci, rather happy he'd managed to get his friend to come along. Tama didn't have many friends after all...and in Tama's mind, it was best if those he did have knew each other. "This is my friend Narcissus. Narci, this is Muscail."
He hoped they got along...And hopefully Muscail wouldn't fault Narci for his vanity. After all...without, Tama was certain Narci just wouldn't be...well, Narci.

The dark male frowned as the female appeared, looking her over with a critical eye. She looked clean and rather took after Tama with her light coloring, so she didn't seem too bad. He would approve of the shining jewelry, if they were on him, but since they weren't, they didn't do much for him. It took him only a moment to view and discard her as unimportant, for the most part.
"Hello." He said, by way of greeting, and turned back to Tama. "Is that all you wanted, Tama? The trek has been... rather tiring." Of course, its not like they'd had to go that for, or that Narci didn't keep himself in good shape for the looks of things, but it hadn't been his idea to tramp through the 'wilderness' to go see some wild rogue female. He just didn't see the point to it all. He'd seen her, so that was that, wasn't it?

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Narcissus. Perhaps you'd like to rest here for a little while before you return to your home?" Múscail said absently, her lips quirking slightly at the young lion's impatience. She remembered a time when she had been eager to leave shortly after meeting others, more caught up in the idea of playing with her sister... Or even simply doing anything but exchanging pleasantries with some random stranger.

Tama pouted a bit. He'd been hoping Narci would at least seem halfway interested in meeting Muscail...Oh well. It wasn't as if Narci was really interested in much...He smiled apologetically to both his friends. "Sorry, Narci...I thought it would be good for you to have a visual when I was talking about her...and what better way to picture someone than meet them!"
He mouthed a 'thank you' to Muscail, glad she was so understanding. It wasn't often others dealt with his best friend's...vanity so well.

Narci obediently turned to look Muscail over again, studying her with a critical eye.
"Well, she's not bad." He finally conceded, nodding as he flicked his tail lightly. "She's a lot like you, actually." Narci felt like he needed to mollify Tama somewhat, to lift the pout from his one and only friend's face. He couldn't say he was at all interested in some random female, but for Tama's sake, he'd fake it.
The black lion plastered what he hoped was a 'genuine' smile on his face and nodded again, his growing mane brushing his ears and neck. "So... have you... been here long, Muscail?" He said politely, struggling with what to say to her. What did one say, anyway? He never had to 'say' anything special to Tama... just what was important. "Tama's said... good things about you."
Gods, that was lame... and he hated being seen as 'less than' in someone's eyes. He'd have to take it up a notch, if only to leave a good impression on her and make Tama happy.
