Well, seeing as this is a Pro-Kikyou guild, we all like Kikyou, correct? What about Kagome? I've seen a few comments where people say they don't particularly care for her. This topic is for you guys to look on the other side, find something that you like about Kagome, and something you dislike about Kikyou.

This is just for fun. You can argue points back and forth if you disagree, but I don't want to see any rude comments. If I do, I'll have InuYasha come and Kaze no Kizu you. wink

As for myself, something I really like about Kagome is how she cares for everyone. She never wants to see any of her friends upset, and will try to make things better if she can. She's determined, she was just thrown into Feudal Japan but made the best of it. Many people would sit down and cry, but she didn't dwell on the fact. She's loyal to her friends, and is understanding. She puts her friends' well being ahead of her own. She isn't afraid of showing her emotions. She's come so far in her journey and face it, she's just a regular girl.

For something I dislike about Kikyou would have to be her iciness. I understand that it's not in her nature to be outgoing and friendly, but it's just something I dislike. She doesn't hate Kagome and Inuyasha anymore, but she has never been relaxed around them, or anyone else. Again, I know this is her character. It was hard to find something I dislike about her, and this was all I could think of.

((By the way, I got the idea for this from Nillia's "Dare to be Moderate!" thread in the TV Anime Forum))

I wonder if we can talk about characters other than Kikyou and Kagome here, as long as it relates to one of the two.

Anyway, people love to call Kagome "weak" and "not tough" and come out to compare her to Sango. But they've forgotten the fact that there are different types of strengths. Physical strength is what Sango's got, but emotionally, and mentally, Sango isn't very strong there. She gets easily tricked by Naraku to steal the tessaiga, and in the third movie, she was the only human in the group who nearly gave her soul to the creatures of hell that were calling out to her. If it weren't for Miroku, then Sango would have died.

Kagome, on the other hand, is very strong emotionally. She trusts Inuyasha unconditionally, even risking her life. Sure, she put the prayer beads around Inuyasha's neck again at the end of the third movie, but perhaps some people didn't hear what she said, or simply over-looked it. When Kagome did put the necklace around Inuyasha's neck, he asked her if she didn't trust him, and she said that she did, but she just didn't want him to run off alone again.

What I like about Kagome, is that she's an honest character. She cries when sad, laughs when happy, and blows up whnen mad. She's far more honest than the rest of the cast, and not afraid to show her feelings or be herself.

What I don't find attractive about Kikyou is her quiteness, liven up girl *pats back* sweatdrop . But other than that, Kikyou is my absolute favorite Inuyasha character.

Neither Kikyou nor Kagome are my favorite, favorite characters, but I find them vital to the story, and I don't like it when ANY of the characters are bashed.
