My dad has an old guitar that he just got restrung so, naturally, I started messing around with it and found a instructional CD for the computer. I know that you have to build up callouses on your fingertips to play guitar. I play flute in the band (open-holed) so I was wondering if the callouses I'd have from guitar would affect my flute playing. Anyone have an answer? confused

I play flute as my main instrument, and I have bene playing around on guitar a bit, too. I don't have callouses yet, because I don't play enough, but I asked my band director, and it apparently isn't a problem. I don't think you have to worry that much.

I don't think calices or whatnot will affect your flute playing unless you like grow 1 inch calices and you are unable to play
