Very well then, lets get to it, shall we?
Over the past years this wonderful element has had many masters, and i am proud to be among their ranks.
Also, Over my time in the guild i have studied under a great master, whom i am now proud to call my equal in rank, although not in experience. He was the one who taught me all i know, and then some, of this wondrous element we can bend to our wills.
He's had his own take on the element, and i feel obliged to quote it, since it's a great examination of the element.
WaterRouge
Water: Water is many things. It can be used to dodge, attack, defend, and cleanse. It is an element that requires good mental training and is for those that can be mentally flexable. Even if it's your style to go all out, this element may change that flight path to be more all around and strategic. ((this is a tough element so why its mostly assosiated with girls is beyond me)) Also, the training to become a master is different then the others, also dealing with flexability. I'm refering to everyone's porsonal style. Yes i mentoned it earlier that it may change but that doesn't mean you can specialize in that area of battle. Also it is to be warned that water doesn't just heal on contact. You have to know how to clean the wound and any internal damage and such. Also no god-mod helaing yourself. If you get shot you cant just hold your wound for a second and be fine the next. On a last note, Water is one of the most powerful elements. ((no dont use this as an excuse to look cool)) It has been known to have advantages over things more then weaknesses. Plus water is one of the three essences of life so it's important. Last bidding to the reader is that its very easy to god-mod with water so try to resist as much as possible.
Another great master was Walk, although i never had a chance to meet him. Here's his input on the element:
Extraordinaire
So, anyway, if you're going to join the Water element, there are a few things you must know...
Water is in the air, all around us, whether as vapor, as water, or as ice. While the ice is uncontrollable, the vapor CAN be pulled for a SMALL amount of water. Notice that it is a GAS as a vapor, and there's all those other gases in the air, taking up space, and preventing it from coming together. It takes EFFORT and FOCUS to pull the SMALL amount of water from the air. Remember that.
And, so. Another thing: you CANNOT "make" water, or force it from your hands, or anything like that. You must "pull" or "call" or whatever you want to call it from a lake, river, puddle, a satchel you hold at your side, whatever. Just make sure there's a source, and you should be alright.
Which brings me to a subject I want to cover; although I don't see it much, you CANNOT "pull" water from your opponent's body! It's all combined with some other chemical, thus making it a compound, and outside of your control. So don't do it!
Alright. You CAN make your water fly at your opponent, bruise your opponent, but if you make it "thin," or whatever, it's still a liquid, and don't even try to say you can make it go fast enough to pierce flesh, because it'll just disperse as it hits your target, and making it go that fast would be godmodding, beyond what even a master can do. And if you don't like it, check out the sceince of hurricanes. Water flying at over 150 mph, and it still "pelts" people. So, get over it.
Speaking of hurricanes, NO, YOU CANNOT MAKE ONE. Even control of a cloud would take everything you have, because the cloud is miles away, and its still not even formed into individual dropplets (or it's ice or snow, which is Ice element's domain. It melts as it reaches the ground.)
Which brings me to my next point: rain. If it's currently raining around you, you CAN pull the water from droplets, and make a water ball, or whatever. BUT: ONLY water near you, and anything that falls on the ball, or whatever form you choose for holding your water.
Lastly: TSUNAMIS. IF there is a big enough body of water nearby, and you're NOT injured beyond something reasonable, then you may turn ALL your focus towards making the wave. You may NOT defend yourself (unless your threw yourself into a fetal position or something before you started the wave) while you're making the wave. The wave will probably wipe out your opponent, but leaving yourself open should make you reconsider before using a tsunami move.
And, I know I said lastly at the beginning of that last paragraph, but there's one more thing I wanted to say: water CAN AND WILL refract and alter light and energy movements. I'll leave what is defined as "energy" to you.
EDIT: One important thing I forgot to cover: breathing underwater. YES, you may. Why? How could it possibly help you? No one would dare fight you near an ocean, or a lake, and it's cool. Oh, and Thunder users would KILL you.
