This is the one, one of my teacher said about, and it's really good! (btw, it's not pastry, it is just cook in a Pie pan) This all goes to my teacher!
Crust:
5oz. spaghetti-uncooked
2T. margarine-melted
1/3C. Parmesan cheese-grated
2 eggs beaten
1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
Drain. Return to Pan.
2. Mix pasta, margarine, parmesan, and eggs.
3. Press into a well greased 9" pie pan (or use a nonstick foil, dull side)
sauce
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4C. chopped onion
2T. green pepper chopped
8oz. canned diced tomatoes
3oz. tomato paste
1t. sugar
1 t. Italian seasoning or oregano
1/2t garlic salt
4. Saute meat, onion and pepper in a skillet. Onions should look translucent. Drain fat if needed.
5. Stir in tomatoes , paste, and seasonings. Tomato maybe pureed if desired.
6. Heat mixture.
Filling:
1/2 C. Ricotta
1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese- divided
7. Spread ricotta over top of pasta
8.Sprinkle 1/2C. of mozzarella over ricotta
9. Top with meat mixture
When preparing to serve:
Preheat oven to 350
Bake pie to 25 to 30 min. until hot
sprinkle remaining mozzarella over top
Return to oven for cheese to melt-5 min.
Pie will cut easier if 5 min of standing time is allowed
