would Windows Vista be if Windows Vista were a person?
My guess is someone extremely needy and annoying: Someone who is a little slow at times, hesitates, and is constantly asking for permission before doing things.
On the other hand, this person would understand the concept of "inside voices," and would be pretty good looking too. Therefore, she/he would be a dating nightmare. You'd get enticed by the looks only to realize what a pain in the a** he/she really is.
*Vista isn't really that bad. I felt like making a thread about it.

Even if she's a pain in the a** or talky as hell, she'd be fairly low-maintenance, as long as you had the right tools to protect her from viruses and spam. Basically, if it's something that's always with you like a girlfriend (or a laptop in my case) Vista is quite capable of getting what she needs and staying in line, and doing what I like. <3 She's always pretty for me, so long as I give her enough time. And really, all I want are the simple things like that. :3

I always use the best protection and I take care of her, but sometimes, it just seems like she's so needy.

and not to mention that she is so pretty that you sometimes forget she doesnt get along with some of your old AND new friends (namely some Microsoft office 2003 and/or 2007 applications dont get along with Vista).

Yeah, but is she pretty enough to ignore her asking permission for everything?

well.... depends if I'm into green or blue that day.
And besides I am taking a computer class on installing Vista, So eventually I should be able to get her to do what I want... twisted

Yes, I rather have noticed that she doesn't like Fallout 2, but really, I don't play very many games with her. We're a pretty serious couple. :3

I find that hard to believe. Give her another year or two and there'll be a younger, newer version of her in her place.

They do get old rather fast, the poor things. My desktop is still a good home for old XP, though she's rather senile and resists a reformat.

My laptop is an XP. I like XP better than Vista. Hopefully by the time I get a new computer I'll be able to bypass Vista and get something else.

To be perfectly honest, Vista doesn't deserve a huge chunk of the bad rap it gets. I use it on my laptop, and I really don't hate it. It's quite reliable.

I don't hate vista. I just never learned all of its functions so I prefer XP to vista.

Yeeaaah...if anyone knows where I could find a comprehensive guide about like...what in there is done differently, and how it's done, between XP and Vista. Maybe there's a Vista For Dummies out there?

We had to study a book on Vista before even sitting down in class so we knew how to use it. It was called "Teach Yourself Visually"-Windows Vista. It had tons of pictures which I liked and I actually learned quite a few things. Vista has lots of cool built in stuff. And I'm sure there is a "Vista for Dummies " book

I'm not so much of a "learn from the book" type person, I'm more of a "get a feel for it yourself" type person. I just got my new laptop, finally my own computer that I didn't have to let my parents on if I didn't want them on it, and it came with Vista instead of XP, which my parents have on their PC. I'm sure I don't know all the cool little tricks like you, but Vista does everything I want her to do without hesitation. She's pretty efficient, I must say.
