It had been a few days since Lailah Nacht has come to live with a rather interesting group. Istas, who was a rather… Friendly mare; when she first arrived. She was usually following, or followed by the ever perverted Amitola, or the knightly Claude. Lailah herself had some trouble understanding it, but it seemed that Istas and Claude had recently come back from an adventure of sorts. Running what she observed in her head she came to Lunar. She liked the small horse a lot; she was very similar to herself, in a graceful and quiet manner. The two of them went through a slight awkward moment; Lunar was used to the loud and aggressive social nature of the others that resided on the estate. The two would watch the sky together… Then there was Forte. A new mother with two girls Starlet and Runa. Runa was more Lialah’s type of girl but she lived with the far just down the river. But since she’d been living among them she’d yet to meet the life mate and daughter. Starlet was a lot like her mother, friendly, and outgoing. Starlet had become early friends with an older male named Daytona.
“Oh my journey has already been interesting.” The mare smiled to herself. She couldn’t ask for better horses to be living with; they were all unique and yet so perfect for each other. Istas was always asking her questions about flying and how it felt. But to be honest it had been such a long time since she flew she wasn’t able to answer. But there was a longing in the mare’s voice when they talked. Something that would require further investigation when they were closer. The two legger Luna seemed to recognize the need for Lailah’s flight. She spent some time staring at her, as she combed out the mares long locks and made sure the jewels that dawned her wings were shining. Since none of the others flew there was a bit of a rift in relations.
So it had seemed to Luna did a little talking around to the few she knew to find her a partner; or a friend that she could relate in the sense of wings with. She had no idea who the personalities would mix, but Lailah was up for the meeting. She ran through the map that the girl drew in the dirt for her to find the residence of the stallion. What breed was he again? Angeni, that’s right… She wondered what they looked like. In her deep thought, her wings fluttered a bit before they folded to rest against her sides. She made her way down along the path; her long black and multi hued hair trailed behind her lightly. Her black pelt flexed in each step as her muscles tightened and released. Her silver eyes looking around before she was able to spot the location just ahead. “There we go…” She smiled again, getting a little be nervous about meeting someone new again.

Amitiel had always had a gift for seeing the truth in the eyes of those around him; it was because of this that he saw himself as the 'Guardian of Truth', although their was nothing magical about his ability he had never been wrong, there was simply something about the person before him that he could read. So far he had tried his ability out on nearly ever specie of soquili, including mutants, and although some mutants were harder to read due to adjustments to their facial features they acted in the same way as others. Yet in all his ‘experimentation’ to discover the truth he had never met anyone who always spoke the truth. It was a shame. Although Amitiel had this ability he rarely shared it, or made it obvious that he knew someone around him was lying, the way he saw it was that they obviously had a reason to lie.
He swooped down into the clearing, a place instructed by the two-legger Luna had told him about. In the light of the morning it seemed beautiful. The horizon was dazzling, colours sprayed the treetops with a magnificent array of orange and reds, hopefully that would indicate a peaceful day. He liked that kind of day most of all, especially if he was planning on flying. The request made by the two-legger was a strange one, he could not understand why anyone would need a partner to go flying, yet he quietly liked the offer, it would be nice to share the experience, gliding, soaring through the air with nothing but the feeling of freedom dancing all around you. Now that was true magic.
As his hooves touched the ground with a gentle 'thump' he shook his head so that his mane would cascade down his face like a waterfall, it felt glossy after his early morning swim, and slightly cooler due to his long flight. He flexed his wings, the feathers spreading for a moment as he attempted to stretch, then he pulled all four of his giant wings back into his sides, flipping his head back so that his locks would fall back into place. He wanted to give the best impression when he met the mare Luna had been so adamant in him escorting to the skies.
A thousand questions whirled around his mind, what was her name, what was she like, did she lie a lot? They were the usual questions that he wondered about when he saw another for the first time. He enjoyed taking ever detail into account, recording it to use on a later occasion. Since Amitiel found that he rarely slept, he would contemplate the details that he memorised during each encounter, remembering the scents, flavours, encounters and reactions of each question. Most of all he would wonder what the truth really was, he hated that he would never know the answers to these questions, but it was strangely comforting to think about them.
Yet here he stood, waiting for a new adventure, his speckled green markings shining like diamonds in the lazy morning sun. The golden chains that controlled his hair glistened, reflecting the light and making tiny rainbows dance on the ground around his feet. If it was a sight he could see in full he would have considered it to be beautiful. All he knew of his new acquaintance was that she was a quiet, beautiful black mare with wings as large as an Angeni.

Lailah felt the the nervousness of meeting someone new start to knot up her stomach. Not knowing all that much about the stallion she was to have her encounter with did make things exciting, but she knew the truth behind the meeting was to try and get her to over come her bizarre fear of flying. Her wings ached to be used, everyday, this stuff and sore feeling... She shook her head some; she wondered if she would have to tell this stallion about why she didn't want to fly. Well; maybe it wasn't a fear... She wasn't to sure what it really was.
She raised her head realizing she was dwelling on the past, and it caused her lady like posture to droop... Drooping was bad! She perked herself right back up, and took in a deep breath. She was made to fly... She needed to fly... What kind of mother was she, when should have been soring through the sky with her children. She shook her head some and smiled at the thought of her children. She hadn't seen them in such a long time. They must have been adult by now. She was only briefly with them when they were foals. She missed them terribly.
With a heaving sigh, she did what she could to push the feeling out. "I lady really should be more elegant." She said, needing to remind herself. The teepee right in front of her before she knew it. She was rather spooked at that. She looked around, her long mane bouncing against her neck as she looked for someone to greet her.
"Excuse me?" She spoked out, moving around the teepe.

Amitiel heard an unfamiliar voice as it drifted over the horizon on the breeze and echoed within his eyes. The vibrations were low and gentle; the voice has a hidden unknown grace about it, gulping once he closed his eyes for a moment in an effort to compose himself. He would as always act the complete gentleman.
Stepping out, a smile bore upon his face he lay eyes upon her for the first time. She was a delicate creature, her large black wings were elegant, they looked like they could be powerful however they were undefined, not well used. Perhaps this was the true reason Luna had asked him to fly? It was a shame, for such a delicate creature to allow a part of her to go to waste, yet there was obviously a reason for her to take such actions, and that was nothing of her to worry too much about it as it was not really his concern. Always wanting the truth from people Amitiel tended not to ask the questions that those around him tended to want kept a secret believing that if they wanted to tell him they could in their own time.
Spreading his wings once more he allowed the cooling breeze to ruffle each feather before he pulled them tightly in at his side once more. "Hello fair lady." His voice was strong yet he tried to keep it friendly and welcoming. "My name is Amitiel, you must be the beautiful mare that Luna has sent to cross my path," he winked softly, only truth ever left his lips, "I am glad." With that he lowered his body into a bow, his eye remained fixed upon the delicate mare before him, spreading his wings softly he attempted to make himself unimposing.
Slowly he raised himself once more, still smiling, he looked to the sky, the clouds swirled gently as the glowing sun shimmered and danced above, it was a lovely day to fly. Half mumbling he spoke again, "It should be a good flight today."

Oh goodness... Lailah thought seeing the stallion. He was a large horse, large and powerful looking. Her ears twitched some; her wings were large, and they flexed lightly, before pulling in against her side some. He had almost like a netting in his hair; it was gold with jewels along it. It matched his coloring well. Her silver eyes moved to take notice of his scarf. It looked really comfortable. She wondered how she could get one of those... At this point all her worries just melted away.
"Amitiel;" She repeated. "It's very nice to meet you." She nods at him, and then blushed some. "Oh goodness you flattered me so~" She got the air that was happy to have her there, and that made her felt a lot better. The last thing hse really wanted was for her to be a burden on someone. She knew Luna didn't know about her past, but she had noticed the weakness of her wings, and quickly saw that she would looks at the sky with Istas but she would never take flight. But knowing Luna she probably left the reasoning open for interpretation. "I'm Lailah."
"Ahh it certainly is a lovely day out. " The gentle breeze that was blowing tickled Lailah's pelt. Even with the sun beating, the breeze kept it at a comfortable level. She closed her eyes as she felt the wind twirl about her form and then disperse. "I was told that you could help me~" She grace him with a soft smile. She wasn't stuck up or anything like that; but she was a little bit more reserved.

Amitiels smile increased tenfold as he heard his name roll off her tongue, it was always pleasant to be called by his name rather than simply addressed the ‘stallion’ or the ‘Angeni’ both true statements but not personal enough for him to find an attachment. He wanted a friend. Nodding politely he continued to listen to her sing-song style words. As she gifted him with the knowledge of her name he rolled it over in his mind, Lailah, it flowed nicely and reminded him of birds and flowers though he was unsure were the connection came from.
Refocusing on the world he looked at the sky, it was delightful to share. The clouds moved in circles, swirling around in the light blue sky lit by the rays of that light that gentle rippled through from the source. He breathed in, closing his eyes for a moment to take in the smells and sounds around him. There were no birds flying at that moment yet he could hear them chirping within the trees, which was yet another sign that the forest was still alive, despite the pain that he saw upon the faces of those around him lately. Sighing gently he hoped that today would be a nice change from the normal, a day of relaxation.
He nodded at the phrase 'I was told you could help me' it was something that he had heard many times before yet not usually for something as natural as flying. This was something he took excitement in; he was looking forward to sharing the experience. "Shall we fly dear Lailah?"
He stretched his wings as wide as they could go, the breeze gently rippled through his thick feathers, he crouched slightly eyes aimed at the runway before him as he took a running leap into the air. The breeze blew strongly below his wings as it helped lift him, flapping them once he began to soar in the air; he lowered his head to look at the darkened pelt mare below him. As always he felt free and confident in his movements. Yet as he watched he noticed that Lailah made no effort to join him, his mind began fumbling with the reasons why as he patiently watched. Luna had told him that she needed someone to fly with a pretty mare. Was there more to this story than he had first anticipated?

He had left her standing there. No doubt it was by mistake, but Lailah felt herself suddenly becoming watched and self conscious. She hadn't gotten the chance to tell him she couldn't fly at all... And now he was waiting for her in the sky. Her silver eyes looked up at him, feeling embarrassed. Should she shout up at him, or would he figure it out himself.
Her eyes would slowly move downward, and toward the ground. She couldn't hear anything but her heart beating, or would pounding be a better word. Her wings moved out from her sides and stretched, but weakly flapped, it was true, she needed lessons from the beginning. She pulled her wings up and looked to her teacher...
"A-Amitiel..." She stuttered lightly. "I... can't fly at all." She spoke up to him in in the sky. He was expectant, and she wasn't able to fulfill. Would he be disappointed in the work a head of him? Or even in her as a winged horse. She hoped that he would still be confident in helping her. Lailah was possibly to critical of herself when it came to flying... And placed that on what she thought others would think of her.
Would he require her full story? She knew her reasoning in wanting to learn. But would he known of her past before even Vatican? It was possible that she also needed a friend. Not that Istas and the others weren't friends, but she hadn't found 'her friend'. Maybe Amitiel was the one. Only time would tell. She knew that she wanted that, watching Istas and Claude. She wanted to bring out her potential, she wanted to be the best mother should could to her foals, and she wanted to stop limiting herself. And step one was flying. Amitiel was the one that was chosen for this, so she had to keep her hopes and spirits high!
When Amitiel landed, Lailah would proceed to tell him that she had never flown before, and would need to strengthen her wings and start from scratch.
