 It was the cold winter months but luckily for Keegan his keeper Dark lived on a set of islands that stayed fairly warm all year round. The winter months were of course cooler but he was glad that there was rarely ever that white fluffy cold stuff that they called snow on the islands. There was of course rain, lots and lots of rain.
Today however wasn't one of those rainy days, not even a cloud in sight which Keegan was greatful for. He left the manor early that morning and had headed to the lagoon where he now laid on the rocks by the water enjoying the heat of the sun beating down on him.

 Yue swam through the warm waters, enjoying not having to be in the colder waters of winter. Her keeper had let her roam free all these years, and she certainly could take care of herself; she had the mindset and the physical aspects to do it.
Now she was in tropical waters and quite happy with her migration towards the warmer climate. Slowly, she surface to check the weather for a tropical storm. Those were never fun to be in, especially if you were in the water at that time.

Keegan woke up from his nap on the warm rocks and yawned his tongue rolling out of his mouth as his legs stretched in front of him. Noticing a glint of gold out of the corner of his eyes he blinked a few times to clear his vision and looked in the direction of where he had spotted the gold.

Deciding that the sky was clear enough that there were no signs of a storm, Yue grinned and happily dove back into the water, letting a small splash be made. She was unaware that there was someone near by watching her, but probably wouldn't have cared anyways.

By the time his eyes had cleared up enough to see clearly all he saw was a splash in the water. Curious as to what caused the splash and the pretty hint of gold in the water he stood up and dove into the water to investigate, swimming in the direction in which the splash had been searching out the gold.

Oh glorious wonders! There were so many interesting things for Yue to explore, she just didn't know where to start; there were the rock structures, the caves, the strange fish population, not to mention to see if there were ship wrecks to look into.
A school of brightly colored fish darted past her and her eyes lit up as she quickly chased after them, leaving a stream of bubbles behind her. She was quick, and she used her back fins to steer her as she paddled with her tail.

Once Keegan was in the water he was able to speed quickly in the direction from which the splash had come. He was most agile in the water as was the way he was built. The water just slid past him as he swam with a grace only those who were made for water could have. Soon enough he came across a bubble trail that was big enough for a decent size school of fish of a creature around his size, and where he didn't know of any golden fish in these waters that schooled in such a large group his curiosity was intrueged even further as he sped along the bubble path to try and find the creator once in a while catching a small glimpse of gold before it was out of his sight once more.

Yue kept chasing the fish, but something was making her slightly unsettled; she felt like someone, or something, was watching her. Quickly, she dashed behind a rock and into some heavily growing seaweed, watching to see who was following her, if there was any one at all. She normally wasn't paranoid like that, and it was very rare of her to actually be wrong about someone tailing her, but she'd rather not take her chances.

When the bubble trail seemed to disappear into the water ahead of him Keegan stopped finding himself in a particularly sunny spot of water looking around wondering where the glitter of gold had gotten off too. Noticing a rock and seaweed not so far off he cautiously swam over towards it wondering if it was there that he would find his mystery.

She watched as the male came into view and smirked a little as he began to make his way over to her hiding place. Silently she began to concoct a scheme and, once he was only a foot or so away from the seaweed, she rocketed out of the slimy grass and sped right by him. She was sleek and built for speed, so she wasn't worried about being caught. a good five yards away, she drifted to a halt and turned around to see what the male would do.

At first Keegan wasn't sure what had darted at him for it moved to quickly only causing a gold blur as he was sent spinning backwards some. When he finally stopped spinning he shook his head and looked around to catch his bearings and to try and locate where the creature had gone. Though what he found wasn't exactly what expected though he hadn't been expecting, more thinking on the lines that it was a small water dragon but instead he was greeted by a beautiful gold and black female talaye. One whom seemed like she was looking for a challenge and a race. Grinning at her Keegan darted in her direction full speed up for a game of race.

Yue smirked and darted off through the water again, moving speedily and gracefully. Her front paws were tucked under her belly to make her even more streamline, but she let herself slow down a bit to let Keegan catch up to her before she burst off again with even more speed. He seemed harmless enough to her.

Once Keegan had caught up to her he did everything in his power to keep up with her and swim at her side. When he first thought of this he had figured he wouldn't have to give it his all, and would have to actually swim slower then what he really could, but he soon came to find out they were much more evenly matched. She could even be stronger at least he thought so since she was the smaller of the two and she was already giving him a work out to keep up.

Yue giggled a little, seeing that he was having a little trouble keeping up with her, then headed towards the rocks. Smoothly, she lept out of the water and landed on the rocks that were surfaced above the water, and she looked back to see if her new 'friend' was following her. She was curious about him.

Following pursuit he landed on the rocks and shook out his fur before grinning in her direction slightly winded but not overly bad. "You're a speedy little one there, beautiful."
