Engaged! biggrin
Well. He gave me a "promise ring" months ago- it was like, "I promise to marry you. Eventually."
But on Christmas, despite him being sick, he asked me to marry him. The ring is gold, with a gorgeous fire opal in the middle and some silver with a ridiculously minute diamond.
For now, this a "promise" ring, too, until I'm much more comfortable with the concept of him being my fiance. We do tease each other and call the other that, but ... I'm mature enough. I simply am nervous and would like to continue to be boyfriend/girlfriend while I still have my teenaged youth. :3
Oh, I turn eighteen next month! biggrin
I miss you guys, sorry that I don't Post as much as I should. Pictures of the ring will come later, when I'm able."If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Aww, thanks so much Plethora. :3! -huggles-
And you, too, Ives. Oh, by the way, I didn't clarify and I suppose it doesn't matter, but the first ring and the opal one are totally different pieces. xD"If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

The first was a spinner ring from Hot Topic that I lusted for for a while; it has little black arrows that look exactly like DDR ones, sooo. :3
The second, I believe, came to be around three hundred dollars, IF that much. I owe him a little silver band, haha. Walmart keeps running out of his size. x_x
Aaand ... We need to get my gold one re-sized. It was only available in a size larger than what I have. owo;;"If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Aww, again, thank you guys so much. (:
I haven't told many of my IRL friends as I fear they may think it odd and question the whole thing ... But ... I'm so happy for this support! biggrin :3"If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

Odd? i am not sure odd would be a good fit, this is possibly one of the most important things in your life so far, I mean, odd wouldnt even start to cover it, and commitment, real commitment is so rare nowadays that its almosta mirage, I congratulate you ! and I am sure your friends will think likewise, because they care for you.

My close female friends are happy. I don't know that I'll tell my best guyfriend, as she silently disapproves of David and he and I have a tendency of making fun of such overly-serious couples in our group.
I mean, I'll spill it online or in person to a bunch of friends in the months to come ... The people I'm with, as well as myself, are very judge-y, though.
I can imagine that informing 'em, "Hey guys, I'm engaged. biggrin " would make them (a) be happy to my face and then (b) later on be like, "What the hell? they haven't even dated two years yet."
-shrugs-
