Welcome to the Chinese New Year TekTek Contest!
I noticed that this year, the Chinese New Year date is in January, though usually it is in February (or at least I notice that it tends to be). I thought it'd be fun to hold a contest for this, since it seems we'll be doing contests for major holidays.
In case you were wondering, the year 2009 is the Year of the Ox and the day the Chinese New Year starts on is January 26th, (I'm correct that is starts that day, right?)
Anyways, this will be a relatively short contest and I'll have very few rules, so yeah, let's get to it!

Rules & VotingRules: First off, this is going to be a tektek contest. This means that you get to use the avatar creator on tektek.org to make your entry. The reason for this is because I don't want to have entries clash with the current avatar contest for Valentine's Day.
Secondly, you have to use either the Year of the Ox item or some sort of horns to represent an ox. I mean, we can't just have random avatars, can we? I'll allow any type of horn equip item EXCEPT the Alien Antennae Horns...or pretty much the ones that don't look "natural". If you have any questions on this, post your entry and ask if the horns are okay and I'll let you know, or you can ask before hand. [ I listed the horns that can be used in the next post]
Also, there is no price limit for this contest. You do have to post the item list though. Since there is no price list, please don't add random items or things just because they look cool or cute. We're trying to keep with the theme, so it'd be a lot less stressful if you do so. However, you can add little things to your avatar if they match your theme, such as one of the background poses, body dye, or other items.
Lastly, you can post drafts. A "draft" in a tektek contest is pretty much your entry, but you're not sure about the color combination or if one item looks good and you'd like an opinion on another. I (and maybe others) are more than willing to help you out if you're not sure on what else to add to your entry to keep with the theme, so don't be afraid to ask. The only thing I'd like for you to do is to not post millions of edits or drafts; It makes things hard to keep track of.
A quick note - Pick a color scheme! It makes things a lot easier when you pick items. Typically, people choose two or three colors to work with, but I've also seen as many as seven colors work wonderfully on an avatar. When picking a color scheme, pick colors that go together well or don't clash. Again, if you need help on this, I can give any advice. In case you're not sure or would like examples of color schemes, I'll list a few.
Blue/Gold/White - People tend to use these color for an angelic sort of theme, but they can also be used in "royal" avatars. It's not limited to that though! Red/Black/Gray - These colors typically go with "demonic" or darker themed avatars, but Gold can also be added to make it more "sophisticated" or classy. Blue/Black/Gray - These tend to bet used in "sad" or "gloomy" avatars, but also in darker themed ones as well. These colors can also be used on dark elf skins to make them blend more. White/Gold - These colors tend to go hand-in-hand with most "royal" looking avatars. Other colors can be added (such as red, blue, purple, etc.) to give it highlights and a bit of flair. White/Pink/Light Blue - These colors tend to go with "cute" avatars or "girly" ones. They are all softer colors, so they can also be used to give a "youthful" or "child-like" look. Green/White/Brown - This is considered an "earthy" color scheme, or nature oriented. It can also be described as "fresh" or "organic". Typically, this is used for a few animal or anthro avatars, but it's not limited to that!
In no means are you limited to these color schemes! These are just examples/ideas. Since there are a variety of horns (Not a whole lot, I know, but enough to where everyone isn't using the same pair continuously) there are plenty of colors pallets to go with.
Another note - You may submit two entries. The gender of your entries is up to you.
Voting: Voting will take place on January 21st until January 25th, so this will be a really short contest. When we have all the entries, they'll show up in the "Entries" post. You can vote for one entry only and it cannot be your own. To vote, I've set up a poll for everyone to vote with. We're going to use the Honor System here, so please, if you have an entry in the contest, don't vote for yourself.
Prize: The prize for the person with the most votes will be kept with the contest theme: a kimono or yukata item of the winner's choice, plus the tabi, sandals, and a couple of other little accessories to go with the Chinese New Year Theme. [ Sorry I didn't run the prizes through with the higher ups, but if the clan doesn't fund the prize, I'd be more than happy to]

I'n my opinion, you can never add too many items...unless you've got forty on. XD I think an "average" high amount is around twenty to twenty-five items.
The only thing that I can think about suggesting is to add a bit of black at the bottom/feet area to balance out the black hair. :3

You've got a lot of pastels that go together nicely, but the Gift of the Goddess and Heartbreaker jacket really stand out. Maybe just stick to the pastels? You also don't have a set of horns to go with your tail.
