Alright this is for people who are just starting and dont know what rings to get. Or try and get. Or people who just want to try something new.
When I say ring set i dont mean the ones premade by gaia. I mean your own personal ring sets that you find useful. Or just the ring sets You like to use.
Here is mine: (In my ring order) Hack Bump Diagnose Defib Shark Attack Mantis Fitness Dervish
Here is why I use it. Hack because it is frickin sweet. Bump because it knocks enemies back a decent way and does decent damege. Great follow up to hack. Diagnose because I want to try and solo all the bosses at some point and no heal means no survive. And its great for crew cause it heals all the members. Diagnose great to have when crewing. Or torture people who are near crystal by saying Yes, I have Defib. No I wont use it on you. twisted Shark Attack is a decent attack range ring and is a great follow up to Hack n' Bump. Mantis was my first ring. I can't abandon it. Yeah yeah i have some problems. But it is also a decent attacker. Fitness is an all around great ring to have. Boost all your stats. Plus recovery rate goes up. Whats not to like? Dervish. Dervish is just amazingness wrapped around my right pinky. 360 degrees attack. Decent damage. And SUPER DERVISH A.K.A. RR4 Dervish PWNS all!
So there is my ring set in a nut shell. A very large nut shell....

Left Hand ( Keys: 1, 2, 3, 4)
Mantis, Slash, Defiblirate, Divinity
Right Hand (Keys: Q, W, E, R )
Meat, Diagnose, Hack, Fitness.
Explanation
Masntis and Slash are my common attack rings. However, Hack is placed at letter E so that my hand can be as follow: Index finger is at E (Hack), Middle finger is at 2 (Slash) and my Ring Finger at 1 (Mantis).
I use Defib at the first slots so that there can be chained defibs at crew. As well as de Divinity.
Meat and Diagnose are for health. Meat for pesonal use and also as Meatshiel ( xd ) and Diagnose for either me or all the crew.
Fitness is in order to increase everything.

from left to right: Diagnose - so that I can stay healthy and kick butt. Shark attack - Most powerful (short) Long range ring in the game. Shuriken - Mid range fast reset attack. not powerful but gets the job done. Solar rays - Best ranged ring. long distance combined with strong attack. Hunters Bow - the Ultimate distance hitter. almost no attack power but will gets the enemies attension and slow them down. Wish - to heal others that I come across that need. faster reset then Diag but not as much health restored. Divinity - Stay in the fight longer with more attacks due to faster stamina recovery Healing Halo - Regain health faster even when standing. Used so that I don't have to use Diag on myself as often.
The first four or my left hand are not part of a set however the las four or my right hand is equipped with the Angel Set. I know some people don't believe that it works but when after 2 hours of farming fluffs and golems on the beach I had gotten 10 synthetic fibers and 50+ orbs without opening a single chest in the area.

Left Hand: ☼Mantis ☼Slash ☼Bump ☼Hack or Shark Attack
Right Hand: §Bandage §Meat §Teflon Spray or Divinity §Fitness
Since im more of an attack type i use around 3 or 4 attack rings depending on the crew... and cause i spend more time attacking i dont use that many healing rings...

I use the Angelic/Medic set. wahmbulance DO NOT SOLO WITH ANGELIC MEDIC. wahmbulance
I live in crews. And occasionally solo with Hunter's Bow.
Left Hand, in order: Hunter's Bow 10.0, Wish 4.0, Divinity 4.0, Healing Halo 3.5. RIght Hand, in order: Diagnose 4.0, Defibrillate 4.0, Bandage 4.0, Adrenaline 4.0.
Explanation~ 1. If I die, and I am defibbed and I am in the middle of a hell of a lot of monsters, my first ring that unlocks is my attack ring.
2. If I am defibbed by a crew, I can immediately start healing them/fighting enemies because Wish is second to be unlocked. Or, if I am in the Null Chamber with crew member, I can heal them all with Wish, and we'll be on our way.
3. Divinity, well, is just there. I really hate its slow regen though.
4. Same with Healing Halo. It's there for the sake of completing the Angel set xD
5. Diagnose- the ring I use the most besides Hunter's Bow. Beautiful healing ring, it's also the one I use for healing on the go if I need to move too quickly to target myself with Bandage.
6. If you haven't noticed yet, my rings go in order of usefulness. I use it mostly for chain defibs, is all.
7. I use Bandage in battle a lot. I like RR4 Bandage. Very useful when I need to farm Cherry Fluffs, because when they all come and explode one at a time I can squeeze a bit of healing in. mrgreen
8. I don't use Adrenaline unless I'm on the sidelines, or when I'm mass buff/healing someone in their battle. But then I get on the hate list of the monsters and then the people yell at me for KSing. XP I need a better plan

I wish that there was something better for the Angelic Set than the Hunters bow. it is like the only down side for the whole set for me.

Yeah, I know >.> I think It's good for extreme range, to like, lead a monster to you, and then hurt it with some other rings. It's good when fighting Sand Fluffs. >W<

Is there any particular reason you use those rings or are they just the ones you like the best?

I have never really used crowd control rings before. for me I like going after one target at a time that way no one slips through the cracks.
