Bernard did not know what possessed him to agree to this. When he offered to take the kids out to dinner, he'd envisioned a laid-back cafe, or at least a diner. He hated "family-fun" places. And yet here he was, at a restaurant that had its own indoor playground, waiting for pizza to be delivered to their table. They might as well have had a picnic, at least that would have been less noisy.
Though Bernard was miserable, Teyr loved the massive playspace. It was full of crawlspaces and slides and a massive ballpit, but nothing was too big! He and Zwei agreed to race, and even though Teyr never won, he was having a wonderful time.
Even Zwei was having fun, trying to find all the different hiding spaces inside the maze-like space. The slide that led to the ballpit was definitely the best part. The ladder to climb back up, not so much. He looked at it coldly, trying to figure out what he was supposed to do with it... and getting in everyone else's way as he did.

What better place to bring the Night family toddlers then "Pizza fun house". Paulette Gabriel's nanny agreed to watch over the house. Gabriel sat with Ro-Honda she was making a scarf of some sorts she was using green and cream brown colors. The booth they where sitting at looked like a huge 'U'. Millie sang on the karaoke machine. She was racking up game tickets like none other and had already beaten the high score by thousand points and had no intentions of stopping. Ryan and Marcy played in the playground.
Ryan was so much better at being in closed in places. Marcy kept scrapping her wing on top of things , and got it stuck in the stringy net like stuff not to mention her poor prosthetic leg didn't do well in the rubber areas. She never complained since it wasn't in her nature.
The little rhino boy looked at her "Yous ok sissy". Marcy looked up "yea Im fine" she said with a huff and gruff. Lucky for her Ryan could look past the grin and saw her leg caught on a ledge he maneuvered around her and lifted her leg up. "ohhh Ryan your so sweet , but I could of got it" Marcy said laying down. She was excotstited and Ryan could tell " Im going to go get you some water you wait right here" he ran off he must of gotten out of playground in three minutes he was like flying bullet. Marcy didn't fight with him and stayed laying down. She didn't mind at all.
As she waited she could hear some kids playing she hoped none of them would find her laid out in the red tube with out an ounce of energy. She felt pretty pathetic.

Finally, Zwei gave up trying to ascend the ladder, much to the joy of the other children around it. Instead he slogged back through the balls in a way similar to swimming. Once he made it to the slide, he tried to climb up that way... not the best idea, as a kid sliding down immediately knocked him back into the pit.
In the meantime, Teyr was racing against himself to see how quickly he could get through everything. He wasn't particularly fast, but he enjoyed himself immensely- at least until he tripped over a girl who was sprawled in a tube and hit the side with a small "thwack."

She felt something pass over her but what could it be she was so exsosted she doze off. She tilted her head , she could see foot. " Are you ok ?" she said in a tired voice. She wanted to tell him " you shouldn't be running in here" but then she realized she shouldn't be sleeping in there so she didn't. She couldn't move even her wing looked crippled.

Slowly but surely, Teyr picked himself back up. Aside from a couple of bent feathers and a skinned elbow, he was fine! But he quickly saw that he had not fallen over a "what" but a "who" and rushed over to make sure he was okay, blurting out a fast-paced stream of apologies in the process. "Sorrysorrysorrysorry" he repeated, offering her a hand in case she needed help getting up.

" Ohh Im fine no need to worry. My brother will be back here " she paused " soon" she said with a winded voice. She then used all her might to set her self up to sit . " Im just a bit pooped out , You woudn't happen to have food with you" she was really hungry.

Despite the fact that the girl claimed to be okay, Teyr still hovered over her anxiously. He nodded rapidly at everything she said, brightening slightly at the word "brother" and then looking confused. At her request, he bit his lip. He didn't like to share food... but he'd practically run her over, and she looked really tired.
Reaching into his pocket, Teyr pulled out a pair of peppermint candies. Then, almost suspicious, he peered around both sides of the tube. Once he was sure the coast was clear, he offered one for the girl, keeping the other (and the rest of the stash in his pocket) to himself.

Marcy looked at the candy she was given and smiled " Thank you so much , your so kind" still keeping the candy in her eye sight she contemplated how she was going to eat it in her head" I could bite it all at once , or I can suck on it , or I can bite it in half and suck on it" this went on in her head for about a thirty seconds. She then bit the candy in half and sucked on it. She wrapped the other half and stuck it in a pocket of her green suspenders.
She looked up at the boy "Ohh My Gosh I haven't even introduced myself to the hero who saved me" she giggled " I'm Marcy and thank you soo much for the candy'.
Ryan was back in the playground with a water bottle in his left pant pocket. The water bottle was heavy and made his left side drag a bit , he didn't notice nor would he care if he did. He saw a boy struggling on a slide. He realised the the slide would help him get to his sister faster so he jumped off the cliff into the balls and went up the slide. He looked down at the boy " use the sides its much easier" in a load but not shouting voice. Ryan didn't notice he didn't have legs.

Even though Teyr couldn't understand all of the compliment, Teyr promptly turned pink. He wasn't used to hearing such things, and had no idea how to react. Instead of saying anything, he unwrapped his own candy and popped it in his mouth so he didn't have to say anything.
Sucking on the sweet peppermint, he nodded and listened, only understanding maybe half of what she was saying. Her name was Marcy, and something about the candy, and... now he had to speak. Teyr swallowed the candy and cocked his head to the side. "Name Teyr," he said. "What's hero?"
Zwei pulled himself out of the ball pit for the seventh time and tried to mount the slide again. It was next to impossible, but at least he could figure out how it was supposed to work. The ladder was a complete mystery.
But before he could get on again, a boy jumped up and started to climb, bracing his feet against the sides. That was all very well and good, but Zwei couldn't quite handle that. So he did the first thing he could think of, and began to pull himself up along one side. That went much better, and he managed to follow closely behind the boy.

Marcy glanced at the boy and thought long and hard " Like batman or someone who saves someone". She tried her best to explain herself. The boy didn't talk to much so Marcy just sat with him , it didn't seem like he was going anywhere. " The candy is so sweet I like the way it tickles my mouth". She stuck her tongue out " seee " she giggled. You could see what was left of the candy on her tongue.
Ryan didn't see the boy following him. He just kept running. He got to Marcy who was sticking her tongue out.
"Ooohh Ryan you got me water , this is my friend Tey" She forgot the R at the end.
"Are you ok" Ryan asked " Yes I am Tey gave me some candy and it helped me out alot, Who that behind you" Marcy pointed to the boy. Ryan handed her the bottled " I don't know" and he shrugged.

What was she saying? Teyr wasn't sure, but he bobbed his head anyway. Since she didn't seem to be moving, he decided to sit down next to her. He giggled as she stuck her tongue out, and pulled another candy from his pocket. He wanted to try that!
Zwei was not following Ryan, exactly. They just happened to be going the same way. Once they made it up the slide, he turned right- and to his great surprise, saw a strange girl, and Teyr.
His eyes narrowed as Teyr guiltily tried to hide the candy in his hand, but it wasn't quick enough. Zwei darted forward and knocked the candy out of his brother's hand. "Bad!" he exclaimed. "Not now!"
Clenching his stinging hand, Teyr tried to make himself as small as possible. "Sorry!" He couldn't look at Zwei, so he looked at Marcy instead. "Sorrysorrysorry!"

" Theres no need to be sorry" Marcy patted the boy. She looked at the other boy with anger " How could you be so mean to him".
Ryan looked down at his feet " Maybe he shouldn't be eating the candy".
Marcy petting the boys hair " Well there's no need to be so mean" she huggled the boy. "Who are you anyway" she said kind of sassy at Zwei .
Ryan smiled " a boy who struggles with climbing" he chuckled but probably didn't help the moment.
Marcy started to drink some water in the heat of the moment.

Shaking a little, Teyr shook his head. Of course he was sorry! Zwei was right, he was wrong... he just couldn't help himself.
Zwei stared unblinkingly at Marcy, a bit surprised. What was she saying? He wasn't mean, just right. "Not now," he repeated. "Food soon. That-" he pointed to the candy "later."
There were lots of rules to memorize at home. Icosa liked things just so. Zwei suspected that Teyr had trouble remembering sometimes, but he remembered so he could keep both of them in line.
He was in the right, so why were the other two looking at him like that?

She tried to understand what they where saying but she was still upset. " Well he could of done it nicer" she grumbled. She hugged Teyr. Her pain came from her last adoptive parents who consistently reminded her of her own eating habits. " He was nice of enough to give me candy , when I wasn't feeling good, he shouldn't be treated like that" she rubbed his soar hand to make a point.
Ryan on the other hand was already over the drama and wanted to play.
"Anyone want to go down the slide with me" he smirked "I'll race ya".
He bent his knees as if he was already to go.

Nice? Being nice had nothing to do with it. He was right, and that was what mattered. Zwei folded his arms crossly. "Don't know," he told Marcy. "Rules."
Teyr smiled a little bit as Marcy tried to defend him, but he shook his head. "Sorry," he repeated. As soon as Ryan suggested the slide, he jumped at it. Anything to distract the others from himself. He quickly slipped past Zwei and joined Ryan on the slide. It was more fun with other people anyway.
Still cross, Zwei stared at Marcy, unwilling to move just yet. Of course, part of it was that his climb up the slide was tiring... but no one needed to know that.
