how would a two-piece barrel work? I mean, you've got half the barrel with the receiver subassembly, and the other half (supposedly?) in the foregrip subassembly.
Voted lol.

As long as you match the Lans and Grooves up properly, there shouldn't be a problem. Or if you use a special tool to tighten it up right.

That looks like a Shirow, but he generally makes up his own brand names. I'm gonna have to say that's fake, first of all because the rifle is designed to go in both sides of a padded case, and the parts of the rifle in either side would rub on each other in transport. Definitely a bad thing. Second because it just... doesn't LOOK real.

uryu ishida Actually, what I see is a suppressor! That's what I thought. The "2nd barrel" piece is pretty thick for a barrel and the barrel shouldn't have to stick out that for for a bull pup.

uryu ishida Actually, what I see is a suppressor! I'm referring to the section with the foregrip, which I assume would have to also include a length of barrel.

Charley uryu ishida Actually, what I see is a suppressor! I'm referring to the section with the foregrip, which I assume would have to also include a length of barrel. That section has the entire barrel in it. The chamber on one end slides into the action, and the suppressor threads on the other end. EDIT: OH, now I see it. Okay, because it's a bullpup, there's barrel in both the action section and the foregrip section. So yeah, you're right, I don't see that working at all.

Stoic Socialist http://halofanon.wikia.com/wiki/HK-G38_Modular_Weapons_System Damn, beat me to it. Here's a quote from that page about when that rifle would be delivered... Quote: The HK-G38 Modular Weapons System, also known HK-G38 is modular carbine. It was primarily used for close quarters shooting and close protection detail. It was introduced in August of 2551 by Heckler and Koch with association of Phade Technology Industry to private companies through a series of programs which could cost up to 117 million cR (average cost for 7 programs).

I gave that one the hairy eyeball too, but I'm letting it pass because it's conceivable that NATO could switch to x54 in the next five hundred years.
