((If you wanted to rp her as a pup. x3))
The morning was damp, and the den was beginning to bore Uzuri; the last time she had wandered off, she took a great liking to the hilly part of the savannah, so she decided to wander off in that direction for her daily adventure.
Rising from her lounge position, Uzuri broke out into a run, excitedly running off to find something she hadn't seen before, whether it be the landscape around her, or another animal.

 Shaila was tiny for a wild dog pup, but her heart was huge. She wasn't one to wonder away from her family, decent sized as it was. But today, she just felt like going for a little walk. Normally she'd have one of her sisters with her, but she was the oldest, she didn't need someone with her all the time. Even though she was frightened to be alone. She loved to be around someone, anyone, at least if they are nice.
She heard stories her father would tell them. Horrible stories of what he had seen on his road before he met their mother. It made her even more frightened to be alone. But she had to suck it up. Get over it, and stop being a baby. She wanted to be strong, she really did.
Shaila kept her head down as she walked. Ears flicked back and tail down. She was really happen, except when alone. Her light blue, almost white eyes watched each rock as she past. Each plant that looked of any interest.

Uzuri bounded confidently through the savannah; her days wandering alone had hardened her, and she searched for other life to be with. Being a bright blue color, Uzuri had completely gotten over standing out. It was a fact of life now, and she embraced the constant attention.
She rounded each and every mound on the vast savannah, not wanting to go over them; it was more fun for her to weave within them. Coming out onto flatter ground, the sound of soft footsteps caused Uzuri to pause; they were very light. She couldn't tell if it was a large animal far away or a small one close up. Squinting her eyes, she swayed her tail low to the ground, not wanting to get overly anxious; her ears were up, scanning the air for anything more that would signal her to another creature.

Shaila sighed. She didn't want to go any more, but her feet kept going. What if she gets lost? Well, her daddy would come and find her. He did with the rest of her siblings. She felt like crying, but her tears wouldn't come. What scared her the most, was that she heard nothing at all. Wasn't there something out there.
Her small quiet voice rang out. "Hello?" She asked. Just to see if anyone was there. It was kind of bumping from her shaking now. What if there was some huge monstrous lion out there that would eat her? She froze now in just that small thought.

Uzuri froze her position as soon as she heard a small cry from not far off; maybe twenty feet? It was high-pitched, so it was nothing for her to fear. All the same, she crept low to the ground, being careful of the unknown creature. Her tail swayed on the ground, and she soon caught sight of what made the cry.
It was small, and was of the same species as her; no threat. She seemed frightened, and Uzu was hesitant to offer a helping hand, as it was not in her nature. She waited a few moments, sitting upright a little more, trying to look as unintimidating as possible.
Flicking her ear to the side, Uzuri grew tired of waiting and belted out a loud "hi!"

Shaila jumped at the other's voice. It got her out of her frozen state. Wide eyed, she looked around slowly trying to find the body that came with the voice. Was it something to run from, or should she just run from embarrassment? Finally, a blue body came into view. Shaila was shaking so it was hard to see what it was at first.
The other was about the same size as her, maybe alittle taller since Shaila was quite small. The other's blue eyes stood out on her white face. Though what got her most, was the yellow at the end of her muzzle. It was another wild dog. She looked from the nose to the ears to her feet, and then tail.
She let out a deep breath. THANK GOD! She was so relieved. She was still shaking though. She moved closer to the other.. "H-hi.." She said again. This time with a little bit of a smile. One would think she was cold, for how much she was shaking. "I-I'm Sh-haila" It was hard to talk when you were shaking. It made it seem like you stuttered.

Uzuri eyed the small gray pup; the swirls on her legs were entrancing. She started to giggle at her shyness, and looked down at her claws, wiggling them around for amusement. "What are you doing out here if you're so scared?" she hummed to herself. "I'm Uzuri, by the way. A pup like you shouldn't be running around out by themselves, should they?" Uzuri flickered her eyes to the side solemly, thinking of her own past. "But hey, while you're here, we can do stuff together, right?" her face lit up, excited about her new friend.

She regained what humility she had. She slowly stopped shaking and looked at the other. "I-I can be out here if I please." She felt like she had to defend herself. Even if it wasn't a smart thing to do. she just had the urge to say it. "I'm the oldest in m-my family." She told the other. Not that the other would care much.
"D-do something?" She asked. She wasn't sure what the other was getting at. What else could they do other then walk around and be scared. There was nothing such little creatures as themselves could do. She couldn't take down any thing for food, she could only walk around helpless on this world for now.

"Yeah!" Uzuri scuffed her paw against the ground. "We could go explore, cause I've never been around this area before." she pondered for a moment, thinking of all the options to choose from. "Are you hungry? Cause we could go get some food, if you'd like." she tilted her head to the side and smiled, wanting this little pup to trust her.

"I-I haven't been around here either." Though she had, just not by herself. She always stayed close to her mother's or father's feet as they walked. But, it was time for her to break free, and start to become independent. Though, she knew it wouldn't last too long.
"I don't know h-how to hunt" She told the other. She was only a puppy, wy did the other act as if she knew how to get food? Or at least that's how Shaila took it. "D-don't you have a mother and a f-father to get you food?" She asked.

Uzuri's smile slipped away for a brief moment, but soon returned. "I don't have a mother, or a father." her eyes narrowed kindly, reminiscing in the past. "I've always known how to hunt, ever since I can remember." she rose from the spot she had seated herself in, nearing the other pup. "I can show you, if you'd like?" her tail wagged anxiously; she enjoyed hunting the most. The feeling of her muscles flexing, the stalking of the prey- it was all so exhilerating. She hoped she could soon share this amazing feeling with the scared little pup that stood before her.

It sounded horrible, not having parents. Shaila couldn't imagine how that was, nor could she say anything towards the other. She was silent again, at least for now. What could one say about that? Had her parents died? Or did they just leave her? More stories that her father had told her filled her little head. Though, to be brought back to as the other asked her a question.
At first, she didn't realize what the other had asked. After thinking upon it, though, the question re-filled her ears. She didn't want to seem slow, but she always got lost in her own little thoughts. "You can t-teach me?" She asked. She wanted to know, but she didn't know if it was safe for her to learn.

"Mmhmm." Uzuri closed her eyes and smiled; she was glad, because her stomach had begun to growl. "Have your parents never taken you out on a hunt before? I thought parents would teach their pups to hunt as soon as they could." lost in thought momentarily, Uzuri shook her head to return to the current situation. "It's pretty simple, once you get the hang of it." stretching out on the ground, Uzuri thought of ways to teach the little pup to hunt; bigger game was out of the question. Uzuri could only hunt that when she was with her older den mate, and even then it was difficult. A rabbit, maybe? Raising her nose to the air, she scoped out any prey that may have been in the vacinity.

She shook her head. "They s-say we are too young." She said with a nod. She totally didn't object to them saying that they were too young. She felt too young to be able to kill another creature. Plus, her parents had to chew up their food then spit it out before they themselves could eat. That'd soon change though.
Shaila copied her, not sure what else to do. She wasn't sure what she was smelling for, but at least she looked as if she was learning something. Maybe.

Uzuri slit her eyes open, sliding them over to glance at the other pup. "Too young? Well, I guess if you've got parents, they like to dote on you for as long as they can." she giggled at the sight of the other pup smelling the air. It was fun to watch her learn.
Returning to her scan, she froze her head in the air quickly, inhaling deeply; a wild mouse. It was small, but she thought it perfect for a first kill. She opened her eyes and quickly trotted off into the tall grass, glancing behind her quickly to make sure the other was following.
