okay, so Pike has like, 4ish... yea, bout 4 bands you can make it to. There's beginner's band, which is called Red band, then there's the intermediate band, which is concer white band. above that is symphonic band then there's the highest, which is Wind Anssemble. Then there's other bands but aren't classes, so they're not as important. I was wondering, what's the names of your bands? I know they're not all alike.

My old high school had Concert, Symphonic, and Wind ensemble, and jazz. But my new high school also has a Percussion ensemble, so those who are in there are most likely in one of the other bands as well.

We have 4 concert bands, 2 jazz bands, and, of course, the marching band.
The concert bands are, in order from lowest to highest: Concert band Symphonic band Honors band Wind Symphony
The concert band is part of symphonic for the spring and winter concerts. They also get the chance to join symphonic for the mid-winter concert (which started last year) and the band trip if they've worked on the music and have played off for a director. They didn't get the chance for the mid-winter last year, though, because we had the strictest director at our school.
As for the jazz bands, they're simply Jazz 1, who play at various events and rehearse during the school day, and Jazz 2, who supposedly go to jazz festivals, but I don't hear much about them, except for their after-school rehearsals.
Most of the announcers I've heard call our marching band the "mighty Eagle band (from Rowlett, Texas)", but frankly, I prefer just "Eagle band." There's also the line of extras who haven't really gotten the basics of marching called "A-Line," who help with equipment and stand on the sideline at competitions. The good news for them is that they actually learn drill they can perform at football games, unless they get cut out for being completely incompetent (actually happened this year for the third movement.)

There's only around 40 people in my school that are in band so we only have Orchestra . . . Then our Marching Band usually only has 19-21 people gonk it's really sad. We have Jazz band, and you have to play decently well to get in. But we also have a Jazz Combo which the director has to invite you in. But, with as small as our Jazz Combo is, we rock! xD
