Player(s) of the Month
The mods have decided to implement a "Player of the Month" recognition.
This is going to be divided into two areas:
1. A player (or players) chosen by the moderators
2. A player (or players) chosen by the guild members themselves
All members who post on a regular basis for the month (2 posts a week minimum/2 paragraph each minimum) will be eligible.
The monthly prize will be tied to our points/skills system (and upon discussion, maybe a Gaia related item).

As time draws near the end of the month, we are going to take one stab at the player chosen "character of the month" award. If it doesn't work out too well, then we'll nix it for next month.
Send a PM to MrScottSummers with your Character of the Month Nomination.
- It should be a character who you feel best embraced the spirit of the game and the spirit of their character through the month of January.
- It should be a character who met minimum posting requirements through the month. (2 posts a week, 2 paragraphs minimum)
The top 3 vote getters will be announced on Saturday (January 31st)
Your prize will be game credits.
First place: 5 credits
Second place: 4 credits
Third place: 3 credits
The moderators are excluded from voting in this. The mods are finalizing the players of the month from each team for Saturday.
The mod chosen players of the month will receive +10 credits.
Those who were active by guild rules during the Sinister story arch will also be receiving +5 credits.

Each team leader voted for their character of the month based on posting activity and general impression given during the stories. These are the following for January:
New Mutants: Kraft (+10 credits)
Hellions: Gyro (+10 credits)
Paragons: Shard (+10 credits)

The top three vote getters are:
1st place (6 votes): Solaris (+5 credits)
2nd place (3 votes): Gyro & Nitemare (+4 credits ea)
3rd place (2 votes): Lady Luck (+3 credits)

Participation in the Sinister Story Arch
The moderators evaluated those characters who were most active during the action in the Mr. Sinister/Mystique fight.
The following characters are awarded +5 for their participation:
New Mutants: Evie, Gideon, Amber, Brian, and Mercedes
Hellions: Derrik, Siona, Forellen, Shandra, Thomas, Narcissa, Kerri, DT, Mason
Paragons: Isabella, Aaron, Lillian, Tath, Adelle, Carlos, Aerin and Grant
(Characters who were mod selected characters of the month will not receive the additional +5 as not to give double recognition for a job well done)

February Characters of the Month (player vote)
We had a nice tie this month:
1st place Prophet & Solaris (5 credits awarded)
2nd place Nitemare, X-20, Swift (4 credits awarded)
Because of the massive tie at 2nd, 3rd will not be awarded.

Vote for March's Character of the MonthWe've implemented a rule that if a character has: Not been active for the month Won the vote within the last two months They will not be on the current ballot. This is to keep things fair and spread out the credits. Remember, this isn't a player popularity contest. This should be for a character that really embraced the story lines at hand.

Vote for the August 2009 Character of the Month: August Character of the MonthThis month may be a little harder since we've had a considerable amount of down time during it. Something to consider would be character you have seen grow through the month or learned more through the downtime RP.
