The hands of the clock were five minutes ahead of where he ought to be. Armed with the information Jin had left to his devices, Carl had managed to find the place without reasonable concern. A dull rapping emanated from the chamber blockade where the bird had paused moments before hand. Beyond the massive portal he stepped back and waited, knowing well to distance himself lest he be stepped on by his gracious host.

A few moments after the knock a black haired boy opened the door. He was wearing a japanese yukata, a robe worn around the house. It was a light brown with a young maple on the side. He blinked a bit as he looked around, there was no one there. Then he suddenly rememberd the guest he was expected and looked down. "Ah! Carl-san! How nice of you to come! Most of your outfits are ready now! Do come in!"
The fox stepped away from the door to allow the bird entry. Bijin and Kinnara's home was done up in japanese style which was actually pretty good for the bird. Everthing was very low to the floor. Over in a courner was a large table with lots of drawings all over it. Fabric lay all around. This was obviously his creaton corner. Bijin went to the table and picked up a small chest. He brought it over a clean table and set it down. "I've made all sorts of outfits for all occations. That way you always have something lovely to wear! Your wings made it a little hard but I managed to make all the shirts and jackets accomodate them without much discomfort."

The robe was lovely. The darker hues did much to compliment and accent the creamy pallet the boy sported so well. Carl nodded in acknowledgment and approval at the choice and entered the abode. It much resembled his own workspace, at least in diversity - though his fabric was mostly scrap metal. The musing was dismissed as he sat down, finally putting words to it all.
"Your home is impressive. Thanks for inviting me over, Jin, I hope I'm not bothering you with all this work."
Not that he didn't relish the attention. He hadn't gotten too much of that since his recovery had met the midpoint. The avian's feathers fluffed out a bit to personify how pleased he was with the matter.
"Thank you for this, again, Jin. May I see them?"

"Thank you. Kin and I like to keep our heritage alive in our home. He is Chinese and I am Japanese. And it is no bother. I need the practice for when I open my store." He opened the chest and started laying out many outfits on the table. There were many shirts, pants, and jackets. There was a tank top and shorts for warm days of play and fun. There were winter clothes to keep the avian warm even in flight. There was also a tuxedo in his size, a few clubbing outfits if the avian wished for such entertainment, and last of all a full japanese kimono in blue and silver.
"Now young man, I expect a fashion show. Mostly so I know it all fits properly. I can also make anything I've missed so far." He pointed to a changing screen where Carl could try on his clothes.

"Wow..." Was the first thing that came to mind. The second was that spectacular array. Carl went for the first outfit that struck a chord with him. Gentle claws picked up the clubbing gear, draping it loosely over his arm as he carried it to the screen. From behind it, he poked his head.
"I won't be long, and I'll be sure to be careful with it!"
He then vanished, stripping his figure of his prior attire and easing himself into this new garb. The tight leather pants accentuated his figure nicely, lifting and sculpting around each curve he'd developed in his transition. An ornament hung loosely from the right hip. C in veranda sculpt stood out in sharp contrast, sporting livid gems of sapphire to accentuate his eyes. The outfit continued, ascending the waistline into a shirt that didn't begin until it had surpassed his midriff, exposing the rippling mass. The faint reminent of a scar could be seen peeking out just below the edging, but it could not hold sway to the navy blue material that slid gracefully over the feathered being. One hitch held over the sleeve to the left, cutting off on the adjacent side. There fishnet took hold and drifted loosely down the arm. A few accessories completed the outfit. A few studded piercings through his feathered tufts glistened as they caught the light, alive with movement their own as Carl stepped out from behind the screen and inclined his head slightly.
"Well?"

Bijin waited impatiently for his little model. This was the hard part, waiting for them to put the clothes on. He hoped Carl liked them. When the avian had choosen the clubbing gear first Bijin had been surprised. He had only made them just incase, he didn't honestly expect the boy to wear it. But he waited for the bird to venture back out. His tail swished back and forth, his ears twitched softly.
When the boy stepped out in his new attire Bijin's eyes lit up with excitement. He looked perfect! Oh his long nights of drawing and planning had truly come to fruition. "Oh it fits perfectly Carl-san! I knew you had a good build under those shabby clothes! And that outfit really points it out." He clapped his hands, ever so excited his designs worked for the boy. "The others should fit wonderfully as well. I made you some you cold wear outside while playing. If you like I'll make more everyday clothes."

The boys ego swelled a little and he flexed to a degree, raising his arms over his head and tightening the build he'd labored so hard to achieve. A king was supposed to be...modest...but even he had to have his fun, right? "It feels like, well, it was made for me, you could say! I love the material you used." And the material loved him back, stretching enough to allow adequate movement of limb and wing that spread languidly out behind him.
The bird basked in it for a moment before going back to the selection and taking up the tuxedo next. A change of pace would keep it interesting after all. Carl ducked back to the screen and carefully removed the clubbing gear, making sure not to rip the fishnet. He hung it up over the edge once done and began slipping into the next outfit.
This one took considerably less time. It was a simple, but beautifully crafted Grey pinstripe suit, coupled with a cool blue silk shirt to go underneath the jacket. The shirt was tailored to allow his wings in as easily as he would put anything else through the slits, and followed form to the jacked that echoed the cool Grey. It opened slightly to reveal the silken undershirt, fastened in the mid waist by opalescent button to act as a more conservative, elegant feel. The outfit ended with fingerless white silk gloves which spread wide as his talons tactfully made their way through. Carl sauntered out again and awaited feedback.

"Oh the gentleman caller has arrived! Careful I may faint from your manliness! But where are my roses?" Bijin chuckled as the bird stepped back out in the tuxedo. Ah how the shirt matched his lovely plumage and the gloves allowed for free movement of his claws. The fox moved to take the clubbing outfit and fold it properly back into the chest. He planned to help the bird bring his new clothes back to his home in this. The cut was perfect for him, even his wings did well in the sleeves. "The material wasn't hard to find, just getting the cut was. I wasn't sure how your feathers fit on your arm so I guessed."

Carl couldn't resist playing along. He winked roguishly at Jin and offered his hand in dramatic fashion. "Roses would pale in comparison and shame to your loveliness, my dear." As to how sincere or insincere that was, there was no telling. Carl WAS a notorious flirt after all - at least in the Velvet circle. Had he a rose he would have given it though, as a token of gratitude for such a stunning wardrobe.
Next on the list was the more casual attire. This time he selected something that would fit his usual manner of activity. He slid behind the screen again and changed swiftly, emerging moments later (after he'd folded the suit back properly.) This time it was simply a pair of tight jeans held in place by a few belts. Only one was for function, but the others were a welcome addition and gave an air of mischief to them. The moderately blue denim was complimented by a black muscle shirt. Nothing too intricate or flashy about it, but it suited him to the letter, and he was more than comfortable as he stepped out again.

Bijin just laughed as the little bird played the part. How he loved a model with a sense of humor. He waited again as Carl disappeared behind the screen to try on the everyday clothes he had made. Those always seemed to be the hardest to find as all stores seemed to try a "one size fits all" idea. It was horrid, especially for those with.....animalistic...tendancies. His face cracked into a bigger grin as Carl stepped out in the jeans and shirt. The jeans were actually a smaller version of one of Kinnara's pairs. He had liked the design and decided to make them for the bird.
"That looks nice as well. Excellent clothes for a trip to the mall or simply hanging out with your friends. I dare say Aeka-chan will be asking me for similar clothes when he sees you in them." He chuckled to himself. He was quite sure the coyote would be asking for more clothes as soon as Carl showed off his new dudes. After all the two seemed to be getting along well and friends tended to copy each other.

Carl didn't readily take up the next set, rather, he took a seat near the low table and looked expectantly up at Jin. "I'll wear this the first time I go to the mall with you and Aeka. I hope that's soon..." After all, he could certainly use company besides his extensive family for once. He inclined his head, observing the remaining clothes. "Would you like to pick the next one I wear?"

Bijin smiled and held out the Kimono. "Come on, lets get this on you. It's hard to do at first but I'll show you how it goes on." The kimono was beautiful. Blue and silver silk made for a lovely design of a crane taking flight over a beautiful valley. It came with a black obi, white socks, and black sandels. He showed the avian how to wrap the silk around his body then tie the obi in the proper male fashion.
Sitting back he smiled as the boy looked lovely. "Ah, my best work is always of my own culture." He went over to a bookshelf and pulled one out of legendary creatures. Opening it up he showed Carl all the legendary birds of his culture. "You see Carl, birds are very important in Japanese society. The Fenghuang represents Yin and Yang. Even the Tangu, though mischivous, are protective spirits of the moutains and forests." The pictures were wonderful to look at. There were also drawings of regular birds from the Bird of Paradice to the Crane.

The silk was a welcome change from his usually tighter attire. Carl relaxed and allowed himself to be handled with the easy tact that seemed to come naturally to Jin. He traced the edges of the garment and watched as a volume was withdrawn and opened to reveal the various avians of lore. The subject matter seemed to enamor him until mention of those great protectors was mentioned. Without intending it, he looked crestfallen, though it was distinctly masked in his tone as he mused, "Protector isn't a title that one would give to a Harpy. I'm dangerous after all. Were the tricks of the Tangu bad ones or just jokes?" His eyes and attentions then wavered elsewhere, directing the subject away from him. "The birds of paradise are amazing, aren't they?"

Bijin smiled softly as the boy seemed a bit crestfallen as he thought of the bad things that his kind were capable of. He understood that feeling. Kitsunes rarely had happy endings in their stories. Either abandoned, left alone, or run off by angry villagers. He often wondered how his own story would end. Now in love with Kinnara, would he meet the end as most kitsunes do? He had yet to find his fable, the story he was birthed from. But he had a child to care for at the moment, a sad one at that. "Now now Carl-san. You must not think of the bad things. After all, my kind are not always so.....kind. In fact we have been known to be thieves and a curse upon a house."
Bijin returned the book to the case and went to the kitchen. He made some tea and biscuits then returned to the bird. The fox was very feminine in his attitude and the way he carried himself. He thought of his role as a mother to the younger ones. He felt they needed a good role model, even if it was a crossdressing male. "Now have some tea." He smiled. "And do not think of the bad. Otherwise it will consume your mind. That is what happened to dear Aeka-chan. He is learning to think of the good and put his past behind him."

Carl poked a bit at the biscuits and decided to stick with the tea. He sipped quietly at it for a bit before curiosity got the better of him. "What happened to Aeka, Jin? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy to worry over trivial things. Did he do something horrible to?" Carl somehow doubted it. After all, being Aeka's distant cousin - he would have heard if he'd done something especially bad. He then ventured further, hitting closer still. His sapphire blue eyes peered up at the kitsune boy, prying a bit more than even he felt he should - but unable to resist the query, "Have you ever done anything terrible, Jin?"
