I find that wiht the realese of a new HIM cd a little dissapointment comes with it such as it was with Love Metal and now Dark Light. Why you ask? well because I find that with the coming of a new cd Him looses a bit of their creativity. Dont get me wrong their new album is great but no as great as Razorblade Romance or Dark Shadows And Brilliant Highlights. Even the title , Dark Light, doesn't deliver that oomph of creativity. And the songs: the new ones are great but only three stand out above the rest whereas in other albums you could harly decide which one was your fave song but with this new one Vampire Heart, Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly, and Under The Rose are it. I miss the great lines like "41+66.6= our loss" or "Love sings our song but we fail to sing along.......Death sing our song and we eagerly sing along" or even "I'm your christ to die for you." the only totally awesome line I heard in DL was "we are forever we've been forever we'll be forever crucified to this dream".
Well Im done, do u agree, disaree? feel free to comment and make any corrections to the bits Ive quoted.

I love the new album, and Venus (In our blood) is my absolute favorite song. Sdly though, i ABSOLUTLY HATE THE SONG DARK LIGHT!!! its sooo...ugh...i hate it. Everything else is the s**t. And darling, i belive the line is "Forever we are, Forever we've been, Forever we'll be crucified to a dream" But thats okay, everyone makes mistakes. I also love the line "Venus denies your seven towers above dark waters....venus denies you and your dark waters, the moon kissed the sun and now we, hold her, in our blood" and "the blood on our hands is the wine.." and "with hell freezing over in our eyes, gods kneel before our crime" and "Tears will turn from sweet to sour, and hours to days..". And personaly, im glad that HIM sort of reinvente their sound each album. That way we all always get to hear something wonderful and new!
and, darling, don't worry, Ville is EVERYONES god....

I love every song on Dark Light with the exception of the song Dark Light itself. That song eats big mingin' Novak crack! And nothing sucks that much! The rest of the cd is so amazing though it is rather blah compared to its predecessors.

HIM reinvent there sound with every album
greatest lovesongs showed there heavyer site
razorblade romance was there sort of mid way album with a blend of heavyer and softer
Deep Shaddows and Brillaint highlights showed there song writeing skills at there best
Love Metal was there break through album and was there most main stream "rock" album
and finally dark light, im not shure about it yet but its good anyway, as for it not haveing cool verces what about some of drunk on shaddows or vampire heart they have some cool bits. In general whoever the album seems not to be there best work, thats not to say its bad, far from it its an amazing album but for some reason some parts dont seem to gell right wings of a butterfly for instance dosent seem to fit to well into the who album and the rst of the album seems all too farmiliar, but thats proably because im used to HIM changeing there sound every album.
