A good walk North of the dojo, there is a small grove. Nothing extraordinary about it, just a small pond enclosed by trees and stones. To students of Tamashii, though, this was the entrance to their dojo. Once they had been tought the technique, they could open a sort of 'doorway', leading to a lace where noone was quite sure of. It might be a sort of 'spirit realm', or just a very secluded spot on Gaia. Only Neko and his trusted know for sure.
The Entrance
Once one steps into the doorway, it quickly closes behind them, and they're at the end of a long, dark tunnel with a light at the end. Once they reach that light, they step out of a cave, and into a peaceful clearing with a single, Japanese-style castle, surrou nded by cherry trees that always seem to be in bloom.
The Castle
Through a large set of gates, there lies a courtyard, much like outside of the castle, but with scattered benches, sparring rings, fountains, and pathways into gardens. Inside the castle, the first room entered was a large, elaborately decorated Rotunda, that lead off ito various rooms. Some of them were bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, large empty rooms that could be used for sparring, training, or parties, and scattered around the castle were strategically placed weapon rooms and passages.

Zanpaku-to: Kyuuketsuki (Bloodsucker)
Description: Kyuuketsuki's normal form is fairly different than normal Zanpaku-tos. Instead of a katana, Kyuuketsuki is a form of machete. It's about two foot long, obviously made for one hand. Instead of curving to a point, it seems that the last few inches of Kyuuketsuki have been hacked off, leaving a square end. The handle is bound with black cord, and the steel of the blade sheens a gunmetal blue color. There are no decorations or adornments. The sheath is simple and flat, usually worn behind Neko's lower back, the hilt facing his right.
Shikai: With the word 'Leech', Kyuuketsuki transforms into a sort of kusari-gama, with a few little quirks. Instead of a chain, there is a thin wire, with seemingly no definite length, that connects a fairly large, akwardly curved dagger to a weight that tapers into a point.
Kyuuketsuki's ability lets her take a bit of the opponent's reiatsu with every hit that the blade lands. The energy is then stored in the weight, and can be released in a variety of ways. To replinish Neko, to unleash a powerful attack, or used for defensive purposes.
Bankai: Kyuuketsuki's Bankai ability leaves Neko with no sword at all. Instead, the sword is absorbed into Neko's body, and a reaction takes place. His reiatsu bursts from every pore in his body, then flows back into it. This creates very fine 'fountains' of energy, which form a nearly impenetrable shield just a few nanometers above Neko's skin. The force of the energy is so great that, unless an attack has a decent amount of spirit energy or chakra behind it, the attack would never make contact with Neko, leaving him completely unharmed.
The secondary application of this 'shield' is to leech energy off of every attack landed on Neko which uses energy. with enough energy behind an attack, it could land on Neko's skin and cause harm, but otherwise, the attack is absorbed by the shield, the energy going to fuel Neko's attack and defense.
The flow of Neko's reiatsu allows him perfect control over it, letting him form different weapons, made entirely out of chakra. These weapons, since they have no real weight, are quicker than normal weapons, and if the energy is concentrated enough, they can slice through nearly any substance, almost effortlessley.
Because of the nature of this Bankai, it constantly drains Neko's reiatsu, currently, leaving him with only about ten to twenty minutes until his reserves are run dry.

Shiro wandered through the trees looking for any signs of his clanmates' survival. Finding none whatsoever, he came to a large pond. He walked over to the edge of the pond and looked in, looking at his new reflection. He had changed since coming here, no doubt. He expected this. But he didn't expect it to happen so soon. The changes usually occured when members of his clan were 25. They had happened to him ten years early, but why? He washed his face in teh pondwater before leaning against a tree for a rest.

-=Neko's spirit approaches the pond and focuses, his hands folded as if he were molding chakra. After a few moments, a bright line of white light rose from the pond, and split apart, forming a doorway of sorts, leading into the secluded area where the Tamashii dojo lied. Neko waited for Nyl, so he could step in after her and close the passage=-

Nyl's spirit lands beside the pond, looking though Neko's doorway with wide eyes.
I never knew...what the dojo really looked like.

-=Neko took off after her, keeping the doorway open until they got all the way through the tunnel. When they emerged, they found themselves in a lush meadow, with an abundant number of butterflies. The meadow's grass was about Knee-high, and the castle overlooked it. Even though it was night, it was daylight here, and a comfortable temperature. After a moment, the door sealed up, leaving just Nyl and Neko in the field=-
So, we're about to have a little fun

Nyl twirled around on one foot, the silhouettes of her wings distorting the air. She fell over in the grass, laughing.

I remember you showed me how to modify physical weapons to harm spirits. I don't think I've ever created one.

Ah, well good. This has very little in common with that. This wakazashi that I hold, isn't ordinary. It's an extension of my spirit, a part of my spirit that I didn't know I had until recently. Her name is Kyuuketsuki.
This wakazashi is a Zanpaku-to, a sword that can harm spirits, and do much, much more. Zanpaku-to have the ability to do many things, and they usually reflect their owner's talents. There are three forms to a Zanpaku-to. The forst, is quite basic. It resembles a normal weapon, usually a katana, or some other sort of sword, on some occasions.
The second form is a shikai. This is when a Zanpaku-to shines. Sometimes, a zanpaku-to will totally morph from a katana, other times it will just have certain effects. Kyuuketsuki and I haven;t yet achieved this point, so I'm not quite sure what we can do together with Shikai
Bankai, I haven't heard much about. It's the third and final stage of release. Usually something grand, from what I've read.
Today, we will try to find your Zanpaku-to.

I think so. It sounds a lot like what I do with my staff, but all that picks up on is what element I want it to channel. It sounds...exciting. ...You called your sword a her.

You'll see why I called it a her soon enough. This place is the spirit realm, it allows for an easier time for us to remain in spirit form...As long as we want, really. But chakra doesnt work here, because we have no bodies to give us stamina. What we do have, from what I undertsnd, is the main driving force behind Chakra, a sort of pure energy. It's called reiatsu, and it's clean-cut spirit energy, coming from one's soul. Some people don;t have it, some do. Most people with Chakras have a reiatsu.
Now, this pure energy leaves us a lot more open to think, and examine ourselves...to meditate. Trust me, it's a lot easier to do without a body getting in the way.
This is how we'll find your Zanpaku-to, by examining yourself, and only yourself. You might find a few things you didn;t know were there. I'm pretty sur that it's like this with most people, because it's what happened to me. You'll have to search deep in yourself, and you should eventually find a place with a lot of ribbons just floating around in space
Try to find a red one, or one that doesn't look right. Follow it, and you should find your Zanpaku-to. Don't be afraid of it, it is a part of you, after all, no matter how different it may seem.
