"No no. It has to be done this way, Emre, don't you see?" a tall, rather abused and sickly looking fellow said to the small fox-like creature at his side. They had been pouring over some papers on his desk, something that seemed like... No, it couldn't be a plan to get rid of his father, could it? Nahhhh.

The small creature made a noise that only the Audio, his name was Alter, would understand, pointing out some sort of flaw in the plan. Alter frowned. "Maybe.. You're right." He sighed and sat back, staring at the papers. "It has to be perfect or it just won't work!"

She seemed to have this problem a lot. It was unfortunate, but she had been born this way, had been born to such a tragic sound and life. Ever since she could walk, she had this feeling of pain spread throughout her. Even more unfortunate was the fact that she was blind, and so at her young age she was often bumping into nearly everything, not quite yet having understood how to use her other senses.

And so today, as she sighed a little and trembled while she walked, she happened to bump into something she was sure was much larger than herself. Crouching down, she wondered if it was living, or there would be repercussions. Well, she thought she heard a little bit of talking above the music, so they were living, which meant trouble. Ah well, it was no more trouble than her entire life was sure to be. She didn't even dare raise her head. She couldn't see anyway. Squeaking in shock though, she did attempt to back up before they crushed her or worse.

She couldn't have bumped into him at a worse time. Hissing, Alter whirled around, looking for the offender. When he saw no one, he frowned and stood. Someone, or something, had definitely touched him.

It was another of Emre's weird little noises that alerted him to the little bundle at his feet. His eyes widened, then immediately narrowed. "Excuse me, I'm kinda in the middle of something here."

Perplexed, she curled up a little tighter, wondering why she even bothered moving half the time. She looked towards the source of the sound, still faltering a little. First she turned in the wrong direction and felt a little strange. Turning slightly, albeit a little bit awkwardly, she finally managed to properly face the other, but she could certainly not tell how tall he was. Her tiny body shivered and she opened her mouth to apologize, wondering if she'd be able to find her voice today.

It was depressing. Everything was. It would always be this way and there was nothing she could do. It seemed that every day she woke up to this pain and the pain just made her sad. She hated bothering people, but there was an incessant loneliness that dragged her on day by day. And day after day it got her nothing but rejection and anger.

"S-sorry," she stuttered a little before turning to walk away and then promptly walking right into the edge of the desk. "Gah!" she yelped, ducked her paws over the bruise she was sure to have now.

Alter just stared at it. What was it's problem? First it walked right into his chair, now it was walking into his desk? What. The. Hell. There was something wrong with it, obviously. He started to shy away, Alter couldn't afford to get sick again, not now.

It was another sharp bark from Emre that alerted Alter to what was actually the matter. The small Audio was blind. How.. interesting. Oh well. It didn't matter anyway. He was busy, and he definitely wasn't going to bother himself with the pup.

Sighing, she decided it was probably best to sit here. It didn't seem like the larger one, whoever or whatever it was, was going to hurt her. And although it sounded slightly angry and very busy, it obviously didn't have the time to pay attention to her. That was fine, she was used to that. She was used to almost every type of treatment except love and kindness. Not that she really knew either. She knew next to nothing, but she did understand feelings. What hurt and what didn't.

Sadly, everything always seemed to hurt, and so she curled up against the edge of the desk and stayed there, wondering how long she could last before being bodily removed.

So now that it'd interrupted him, it was just going to sit there in his way? He frowned, growing even more irritated. "Emre, move it, will you? Get it out of here."

The little fox frowned and shook its head. Something was wrong with the little pup, they couldn't just abandon it! He told Alter so, much to the bigger male's chagrin. He didn't want to help any one. No one had ever helped him when he was younger. If Emre hadn't found him when he did, Alter would have given up hope, and probably died long ago.

"No!" he said to the little familiar, who just growled at him. They glared at each other for a while longer before Alter gave in and scowling, gently scooped up the small pup and grabbed a blanket. He set up a little nest on his desk per Emre's instruction, and set the pup down on it. "There. Happy?" Emre nodded and hopped up next to it.

It was only a matter of time. The other seemed to grow more annoyed and impatient with her by the minute. So it didn't come as much of a surprise to her when she was lifted up. What was surprising was that it wasn't roughly and it didn't hurt. Even more shocking was that she was set down on something soft. If she had sight, she would've looked around in surprise. Ginger paws tested out the soft terrain before curling up in it. So ... what was this? Was this generosity? Was it guilt? What emotion should she be feeling? Grateful? Perhaps there was a slight sense of that on the edge of her broken heart, but not much. It was hard to sense past all the pain on the inside.

"Oh... thank you," she whispered when she remembered. Her voice was small and tiny, and she felt something nearby. Her head canted to the side very slightly, not sure how close it was, or what it was. Had it been the other voice she'd heard before? Was it big too? Or was it little, like her?

Alter ignored the little pup now, mulling over his papers. He only acknowledged her with a grunt when she thanked him.

Emre moved closer to the small thing, wrapping his tail around it. He could sense her pain, and he wanted to help. He'd been beaten just as much as Alter, but he'd kept his empathy, as well as Alter's it seemed. He barked, looking directly at Alter.

Alter looked up with a scowl. "I'm not feeding it!" he started to say, but when Emre glared, he sighed and slunk off to get some food.

"Ah..." she whispered, confused. It didn't occur to her that perhaps she was imposing. Well, she knew she was annoying and distracting, but that was usually the cause for her being tossed aside. She couldn't quite understand the creature that was wrapped around her now, but she reached out to gently press her paw to it's tail. What was it? Could she sense it?

Tilting her head, she winced a little as it barked and ducked down as if she'd done something wrong. Just because the pain came often, didn't mean she wasn't still afraid of it.

Alter returned with a bowl of some food and a bowl of water. He set them down in front of the pup and returned to his papers, muttering to himself.

Emre ignored his friend, nosing the pup toward the food, yipping softly.

Poked forward by the other, she was aware that she couldn't see it, and in truth had no idea what had been set down by her. And then, her paw was wet. Stepping back in confusion, she held her now dripping paw up to her nose and sniffed it. Water. It was just water. Licking her paw, she was slightly confused and then set her paw down again, in the water once more. From there she was able to find it and drank some. Unlike the other, she didn't have hands yet, she still had paws and was not suitable for anything but this.

Well this was pathetic. But not any less pathetic than normal. Then her nose sniffed out something else and her face found food. Rubbing at the little bit that got on her nose, she shook her fur a little, not happy. Food was slightly distasteful to her, but it would do less harm than good to eat it, and so she took some of that as well. It was a disaster overall, but at least she didn't sit in it.

His attention drawn by the water the pup splashed around, Alter watched amused. Wow, it was really clumsy, wasn't it? Emre gave him a glare, as if reading his mind, and Alter immediately felt guilty. One of his own fathers, not the a*****e who's demise he was plotting, was blind in one eye. He sighed. "Is it any good?" he asked, almost begrudgingly, as if he was sorry he'd decided to speak.

At the sound of the other's voice, she was startled, having almost momentarily forgotten where she was. Distractions seemed to do that to her. They made her step away from reality. Sometimes it could be a good thing. It meant she could forget she was in pain, if only for a little while. Her paw slipped in the water and she then proceeded to smash her face into it as wall. Fumbling, she yelped startled. This was too much water!

Nearly crying, and after much effort, she finally managed to pull out of the water and now sat on the desk completely soaked. Instead of answering his question, she ducked down, expecting more pain, and muttered endless apologies beginning to cry.

Alter's eyes widened. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed, jumping back. She splashed water all over the desk, soaking his papers. Emre jumped to his feet to try to save them, but it was too late, they were ruined.

The slender Audio cursed, shaking with rage. That had been his perfect plan, it was almost finished and this... this thing! had ruined all that. He sputtered for a few moments, looking for all the world like he was going to strike out at the small pup. It took a sharp bark from Emre, one that sounded surprisingly like the name Cain, for him to calm down.

Once Emre was sure that Alter was in no danger of hurting the small pup, he hopped down and went to get a towel.
