The tall woman yawned lightly as she rested her elbows on her desk and then cupped her chin in her hands. She was a little sleepy but it was nothing that she couldn't handle. The young ones always seemed to be more than enough to keep her awake and on her toes when they were around. Something about a child's energy that often seemed infectious.
Lightly she sat up little and began to shift through some paperwork in order to keep herself from dozing and alert.

He was excited to be here as he was going to learn something new or at least that is what he was told. Holding his mother's hand as the got to the door to where his class was going to be.
"Now you be good and learn from your teacher. I have to go run, but I will be back to pick you up later." she said and kissed his head.
"Ok, I will," he replied and turning to the door and chuching his mirror tightly as he walked in. Once inside the room he could see his teacher sitting at her desk and walked towards it all of a sudden shy in expression only his tail wagging told that he was excited to be here.
"Hello, I'm Ciaran," he said sheepishly and holding his mirror handle even more tighter.

Riulve looked up and smiled lightly at the small shy boy. She nodded lightly as she moved to stand, "Hello there, Ciaran. How are you? Are you ready to learn?" Riulve said in a light voice. She always tried her best to seem friendly and non-threatening to the young ones, her past experiences with her own daughter have often taught her that it was the best route to go.

Tail swishing behind him as he tryed not to be nervous as he was also excited to learn something new. But he did stop clinching his mirror and put it away in a hoster that was hooked to his pants. As he didn't want to get it broken.
"Hi, I'm fine today," he replied with a nod. "Yes I'm ready to learn," he said softly, but his tail waging behind him. Telling Riulve that he was excited to be here despice how he sounds. "So what I'm I going to learn?" he asked as he was getting over his shyness.

She smiled as she watched him try to relax. At least she didn't make him completely beside himself with anxiety. Riulve shifted idly as she pondered the question he had returned to her. In truth with him she didn't plan a head as much as she probably should have but maybe she could use it to her advantage. She did, after all, have awareness of the abilities of each parent's skills though she may not be fully aware of how the ability is accessed but she'd find a way.
"How about you tell me, pup, what you know how to do thus far and we will go from there. It'll be a little like being in control of your own learning." It seemed a good way to also boost his confidence a bit.

Ciaran had to think on what abilitiy that he had. It was something that he really didn't use all that often as he offten forgot he had it anyways. Warming up to his teacher the longer he thought, as he did have a somewhat of a say of what he could learn and was excited by this with his tail wagging sligtly faster. Then he remember he could see in the dark. Very useful when he was looking through his mothers things and also remembered what it was called.
"This is too cool!" he said excited as he so wanted to learn something. "Well I can see in the dark, but my mother calls it dark vision." he answered. As he didn't know what his DNA parents could do except for seeing in the dark as that was what Charna said was her best ability.

"Ah what a wonderful skill to have, pup." She praised him with a smile as she looked him over quietly. Riulve moved to stand finally moving around her desk to move toward Ciaran, "Well then. I think I have an idea of what to teach you."
She'd teach him how to hide himself from others. He seemed the type to enjoy such a thing. While it did seem bothersome to yet again to dip into an ability on his demon side it seemed also more suited to him in a way. Plus she was not sure how to guide him on the skill his other lineage gave him.
"How does the ability to hide sound?"

"It is, useful also for reading in the dark as well." He couldn't figure out why she was calling him 'pup' but he didn't mind as she was a nice person and that she was going to teach him something working in her favor. When he heard what he was going to learn it was hard for him to contain his joy as it sounded so much fun and oh how so many things he could do with that type of abblitiy. "That sound so cool," he answered as his tail contuned to wag.

"Glad you approve." Riulve said with a small grin and then began to move to a door, "Come, let us go outside for this lesson, there are many ways to hide but I think your best bet would be to learn how to hide within shadows."
Outside they would be able to make use of shadows cast by trees and the buildings but they would also make use of some of the shadows indoors.

He gave his teacher a nice big smile as he knew that this was going to be fun. "Ok," he said as he followed his teacher to the door and just tryed to figure out excatly how he could do it.

Once outdoors Riulve lead Ciaran to a large shady tree. She looked it over for a moment before she seemed satisfied and nodded, "Alright we will start with this. As you well know shadow can only exist when light is present. This is a fact that you can very well use to your advantage to hide from others that you consider dangerous ... Or to play a quick prank." She smirked lightly.
"First we will begin with you simply standing in the shade of this tree," Riulve explained, "Become comfortable with it and note how the shadow covers and seems to embrace you."

He couldn't help giggle when he heard that it would be good for pranks as the more he thought about it, it would be a good thing to have. Oh how much fun he was going to have with this ability and also gave another smile.
Nodding at Riulve as she spoke how how it could be done and walked over to the trees shadow. Doing what he was told, closeing his eyes to help him calm down and his tail stopped waging as well. Once calm he could feel that the shadow felt like a light blanket and it wraped around him as it felt niffty as he disapared from sight, he himself not really knowing as he was intregued on how the shadows felt and acted around him.

Riulve watched and nodded approvingly. This boy was catching on quickly and so they could perhaps move on to some more heavily shadowed areas like the space between buildings near the facility. She smiled as she spoke out loud, "Very well done, Ciaran!" Riulve praised the boy. "Let's try another area to make sure you have an understanding of your skill."
"Afterwards we can play a quick game of hide and seek as a test."

Loseing his contration on the shadow in which made him reappear from the shadow. As he got excited that he had done so well. "It was fun, the shadow was sorta like a funny feeling blanket." he said as his tail was slowly starting to wag once more. "Ok, so were do you want me to try?" he asked.
He eyes going wide as he heard they would be playing hid and go seek. "That sounds like fun,"

"We are going to try for those darker sets of shadows near the building." She said calmly, "Between the little alleyways between the wings. Think you can handle that?" Riulve stretched lazily for a moment as she awaited an answer, if there was snow about she could have shown off her own skills at hiding but alas her specialty in her area of hiding skills were limited to the snow due to her bright hair and pale skin.
Granted if she had something to hide both of those it was possible for her to attain similar results but not in the same way that Ciaran's innate skill provided after being pulled to the forefront with the right explanations.
