When I'm done with a great book, I kind of feel overwhelmed. Does that sound weird to you? I sit there thinking "What if...?" or how the ending was absolutely perfect. Does anyone else feel that way? Any particularly memorable books? And this is sort of off topic, but who else thinks books are one of the greatest things in the world?

I like when books end on a cliff-hanger note. I suppose I'm odd that way? Or at least give you a chill when you read the last sentence.
I usually think of the what-ifs while reading the book! *lol* I was that way when I was reading Lord of the Rings.

HOORRAAYYYYY!!!! I'm not alone! Yeah, I think "What if.." throughout the book. Unfortunately, my friends don't read that much so I can't talk about books with them crying . Have you ever pretended or thought about what you would do if you were a character in the book? (I know, I'm weird sweatdrop )

(I know, I'm weird sweatdrop ) You've read my mind! xd Few of my friends read as much as me, but it's usually stuff that I don't, i.e. Anne Rice. So I know exactly what you're saying.

A couple of my friends are a bit bookish so I suppose Im a bit lucky. There's no way they read as much as me though. The book that makes me want another one is the "His dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman. I want another six books!

KindredDreamer i know! usually i can get my friends to read something or other, but their mostly into anime..it drives me crazy...and i love pretending i'mma character...maybe its weird, but its fun! As someone who is also into anime, I can't fault them too much. Although I watch/read very few series anymore or would want to. Just too much cliched plots out there. It's like the romance novel industry! blaugh Not weird at all. While I was reading the Lord Meren mysteries, I imagined myself as a charming woman who would cause Meren to fall madly in love with her! Hehe! I will finish the series once classes are over, then I can see if Meren ever does find himself a lover.

I love that feeling! I was thinking about making a post about it a few days ago, but then I thought no one else would understand and they'd all think I was on crack or something.... sweatdrop

I get sad, even if the book was good. I just get sad that I finished, you know?

Rabid Nozomi I get sad, even if the book was good. I just get sad that I finished, you know? I know. When I finish a great series or something, I'm all like, "So what do I do now?"....and then I move on to another great book.
