Gawd... over these past few weeks I've really noticed how obsessed I am with YYH. Yes, I know your probably thinking right now "Well, its a good show, I think you just like it and are being melodramatic."
Uh...nuh-uh. My proof?
1) I took pictures of Deviant Art Hiei's and put them on my phone wallpaper. Now whenever I open it up, I see a big, amazing water colored Hiei.
That not enough for you? ok, well.
2) I was at Fry's and I went to the anime section. I went through the wide variety of animes and even saw some that I remembered liking, but I could not find Yu Yu Hakusho, so I did not purchase ANYTHING. I scoured their shelves for an hour straight. (sigh)
Still unconvinced? Okay, this should win you over.
3) While in the car, the window fogged up. A normal person might've just drawn smiley faces or hearts...or a gaian might have done something for Mischief Makers. Guess what I did? My window read. "Hiei says "Hi" "Hn."
o_o;
Yeah. So my guild friends, I wanted to ask you, what's the most obsessive thing regarding YYH you've ever done, or just share a few things you like to fill that hole in your life made by this marvelous story and its amazing characters. ^^

Yeah, I'm pretty guilty of that too. I spend entirely too much time thinking about Yu Yu Hakusho in general (including debating theories and coming up with fanfiction plots and revising them) plus of the many, many written pieces I have, over half are Yu Yu Hakusho fanfictions.
I used to have a friend who pretended that they were real. Like, really. No kidding. She pretended that they had come (in spiritual form...?) to protect me and her from the forces of evil. She called them our Guardians. It was pretty fun when we were about 13, but after that it just got weird.
I think that I've spent so much time with the series that it's actually become engraved in my personality. For instance, the other day my sister was watching it with me (the uncut DVD that I got for Christmas...heheh) and said that Hiei acted like me. I said, "no, I guess I act like him." xd

Lucky! I wanted the uncut DVD for Christmas! (hence why I was at Fry's, storming the anime aisle. I felt bad for all the Fry's employees who had to clean up after me ^^; )
Hehe...yeah same here. I find myself using Kurama dialect sometimes, having Hiei and Yusuke joke moments, and you know what? I'm on the brink of calling my blonde moment 'Kuwabara moments.' v_v;

The most obsessive thing I have ever done over Yu Yu Hakusho? Hmm, well that might be a bit of a loaded question. I've done a few obsessive things over the show. I'll list a couple off.
1) 2002 - Got an account at a video rental store almost an hour away just because they had Yu Yu Hakusho DVDs for rent.
2) 2003-ish - Purchased the Dark Tournament part 1 and the Dark Tournament part 2 in one day and spent about $225.00CAN doing it.
3) 2005, 2007, 2008 - Cosplayed Kuronue the first two years and cosplayed Kurama in 2008, I also wore the Kurama cosplay again for Halloween.
4) Infinate time - Author of many fanfictions and artist of much fan art... Will continue to be for as long as I am a fan of the show.
5) Present - Had a Yu Yu Hakusho marathon with my friend for New Years Eve and RPed Yu Yu as we wached.
So, those are the five top obsessive things I have done/do in regards to Yu Yu Hakusho. However, I find that my obsession really is slowing down. I mean I really do like the show, but I am running out of things to debate and talk about in regards to it. After all it has been a favourite show of mine for a good five years now and that is longer than any other anime obsession I have ever had O.o

I'd say I'm pretty well a lost cause when it comes to YYH obsession. I haven't managed a decent cosplay yet, but that's because I'm a perfectionist. Someday I'll cosplay Shizuru -- someday.
1) I've all but finished a complete, in-depth psycho-analysis of Yuusuke's personality, and have Kurama's halfway done. I plan to do every main character and recurring supporting character if I can.
2) I have five or six complicated theories that attempt to explain series plotholes.
3) I write for this fandom almost exclusively, and I've been working on a particular chaptered YYH fic, slated to end up at 200k words, since 2003.
4) I have entire chaptered fics in the works that are based off of less-than-one-second-long, inconsequential clips from the anime, and I exploit animation errors for plot bunnies.
5) I volunteered to scrub my mother's kitchen floor by hand, paint the siding on my stepdad's trailer, and haul boxes of food for my mom's convention to make money so I could preorder the new box sets of YYH.
6) My sister and I gave someone a hug at an anime convention solely because he was the only YYH cosplayer (he was Youko).
7) Yesterday night (seriously, not lying) I had a long, in-depth discussion with a friend, spanning several hours, about Toguro's personality and motives and my general opinion of the Chapter Black saga.
8 ) I once spent ten hours straight trying to get around a terminal problem with my AMV program just so that I could fix minor synching tweaks on my YYH video.
I don't think I'll ever run out of things to babble about when it comes to YYH. Character psychology makes me so happy.

Hehehe...it's a lost cause for all of us.
I have yet to do cosplay...for anything really. I doubt I could pull anyone off though, seeing as I'm a blonde and boobless. v_v; not to mention how I got my haircut, or I think I would've been a good Kurama. (sigh)
Bleh. Idk, maybe I'll do Keiko or Yukina or something. ^^;
Another YYH obsession that I'm not too proud of?
I've actually flamed an author once for not continuing their fan fic.
crying I'm that horrible.

Proud Koto cosplayer! For Halloween no less. I had a Juri that night as well. It was much fun.
Craziest obsession? When I am extremely bored, I act out stuff from my YYH fan fic ideas...sometimes these little plays I put on for myself spawn fan art ideas as well, so it's not a total waste of my time lol

Alright, and in addition to this. My BFF did something terrible to me today. =(
We were talking and I said I couldn't come over to her house this weekend because I was going to my dad's. So we started this mini roleplaying thing where she started crying and she ran into her fictional lover Shane's arms and I started crying but I said I was all alone. And then know what she said?
She had Hiei stab me through the heart with his sword to make me shut up.
She KNOWS I'm a Hiei lover. Q^Q I'm still hurt. emo
