This Rp is between Death and a vampire character named Demetri played by mckenzie-mudkip.

Setting is in a dark Forest, most likely in Russia.

Background story: A small group of children women and men escaped a holding facility in the undeveloped country of Russia and are camping in a forest when they are joined by another escapee. They accept her into the group without hesitation, knowing that there is more safety in numbers, but what they don't know is that the small girl is actually the Grim Reaper come to collect their souls and to charter them over the river styx. Their fate was pre-decided and so she would only have to wait.

But another appears on the scene. One that was not on her list of souls to collect. In fact this being had no soul. So what was she doing here? Time will tell.

The fog over the woods was thick. Each tree was covered by it, besides the very top tips of branches. Demetri sat lower in one of the high trees. She'd wait until they slept, or for one of these people to step to close to her hiding spot. There were at least twelve of them. She didn't know what they were all doing together, but she had her eye on one in particular. A girl.

Could she swipe her up with out making noise? Twelve against one was a tricky perdicament. But, even then, she was sure she could out run them.

The girl sat somberly amongst the human companions. She had come to this group with only one task at hand. To collect these poor unfortunate souls to the underworld. She knew how they were to die, and the hour was nigh.

Her disguise was a simple one of girl about 16 years of age, with a small angelic porcelain face. Around her head she wore a simple scarf of black and her garb was simple and somewhat torn. She was made to seem like one of the escapee's that she was surrounded by. She talked with them in the heart of the night, keeping the mood light and airy.

Many had already fallen asleep when she sensed a presence in a near-by tree. She was curious if this being was the cause for these poor souls deaths. In the next few minutes many more of the group decided to sleep and they laid peacefully on the ground as the shadows of embers danced across their soot covered alabaster skin. Poor creatures, these mortals.

The presence she felt in the tree drew her curiosity. Whatever it was, it was not human. She turned to one of the guards who was keeping watch to tell him that she needed to venture out into the forest alone to relive herself. He urged her to take a partner into the darkness but she denied every attempt. Giving up too easily, him being quite young, she stood and retreated into the shadows of the night, hoping that whoever was watching in the trees would follow. She would warn the being of this groups ill fate and hope it take leave upon hearing such news.

Slowly she made her way, keeping her senses about her for any movement.

Her hair caught the flames light. The long black pieces dangled as she watched the girl move into the forest. "Too easy." She thought, amused. Demetri could barely hold herself in place as she saw the other go by. She wouldn't just jump down on her. "Not polite in any sense." Her thoughts stopped when the girl did. She was looking around curiously. Demettri smirked, and waited for the other to settle and start walking again, before she landed out of the tree with out a sound.

She'd conversate. Maybe gain the other one's trust, then make her move. It was more fun that way. The fear was so much warmer in their blood when she played that kind of game.

Demetri was close behind. Leaning on trees and waiting for the girl to get far away before continuing. Right behind her now, when she grabbed her arm. "I fancy your with the other's? What's the name?"

When the her arm was grabbed she flashed around, ripping her arm from the woman's grasp. She angled her head up to stare into the eyes of the curious being who had been stalking her for the last 30 minutes or so. In that instance of contact all her pre-disposed facade of being human dropped. If she had been human the normal reaction would have been to scream in terror or be shaking with fear, being all alone. But she was far from human.

"You fancy correct, though I do not believe that you and I have the same concept of why I am staying with that particular group." Her voice was a chime like child's voice, her breath softly drifting in the frigid night air. Her eyes were deep and contemplative. Not the eyes of a child.

"As for my true name, you shall not know me, but know this. The fate of that group is a tragic one, and I urge you to take to heart that their lives end this night. Fate has called them to stand and be judged." She paused, letting the information sink in, even into her own mind.

The little puffs that came from the girl's mouth against the cold as she spoke intrigued her. She didn't remember being able to do this when she was still warm and human. Envy, but it didn't meet her face. Demetri smiled at the other. She kept her fangs hidden her best, but they still nipped against her bottom lip as it spread. "Your words don't mean much sense, darling. Aren't you some run away, too?" Demetri couldn't help but chuckle. Such helpless humans. This one was trying to be independent-like. "How cute."

"Are you making these silly things up as you go along? You can't possibly know such events, when they haven't come. That's.. impossible." The grin was still plastered, but slowly faded when the other's expression stayed hard.

"Do I come to understand that you think my words are falsehoods? I wish this fact was untrue," She said, averting her eyes. A tear would have fallen from her delicate eye if she had any," but I am just a deliverer and have no part in the decision of who lives and who dies."

Her voice took on a saddened tone. "All that I have said is true. You would do well not to interfere." Even as the words left her mouth she new the warning was empty for the woman. Nothing but revealing her true self would probably make her understand the gravity of the situation, but that was the one act that she could not produce without consequence.

The girl stood her ground, a vast three heads shorter than the woman in front of her, only two feet away from one another. The cold unfeeling wind traveling through the trees. The grains of sand running out for the many that slept silently in the clearing close by.

The grin widened. She understood now that this girl knew what she was. A vampire. A stance like that, no one would give any random person. Plus, the things she had said. She would have played along, and acted like she had with the twelve back the other way. But why didn't she run?

"So you don't want to play? You could have at least given me the fun of acting for a moment." Demetri let her head fall by the girl's face. "Such a nice face." She just breathed there for a moment, waiting for the other to react, before saying, "Why did you bring me out here, girl? To get me away from those other humans?" Demetri smiled widely, finishing off her statement. "Kinda makes it.. fun.. to want them." With out another second, she was up a tree and back her way to the people.

The girl stood silently as the face hovered so close, aged breath trickling down the throat of this mimicked body. Her hair drifting slightly in the breeze. Then in the briefest of moments she was gone, having taken flight into the trees.

A shocked expression crossed the girls features as the woman's true plan arose to the surface. She didn't really want her. She was after the bulk. She had to stop her. Then again, what if she was the reason for her being here? It couldn't be. They weren't supposed to die from the bite of a vampire. That's not what her vision held. She had to do something drastic to reacquire the creatures attention. Quickly she spun around in a circle, the toe of her shoe angled into the snow to etch a two inch line, and with a small chant under her breath she dissipated.

About five meters before reaching the clearing where the innocence slumbered something began manifesting directly in the path which the Vampire was taking. Black and dark Grey plumes of smoke twisted from the blackened core. The tendrils curled around menacingly, taking form of a heavy hooded cloak, which hid a figure that was unrecognizable.

"Halt," she called out to the speeding creature which was racing towards this exact spot. The voice of the being was rich and alarmingly beautiful, but worst of all calm. Everything was shrouded in blackness, but the form of the cloak could be seen through the tendrils of smoke.

From the cloak reached out a pale feminine hand with claws as ebony as the cloak she dawned. Her hand was held outstretched, palm facing the woman. Upon her palm was a blood black scar in the shape of a waning crescent moon. It almost engulfed the whole meat of her palm. It swirled evilly as if blood flowed over the pattern, yet it did not drip from the mark.

"Do not take one step further. These people will not die by your hand. That is not ordained. Leave here now, and I shall spare your immortality, Nosferatu Demetri." The hand slowly turned into a fist, still facing down. "But if you should defy me and my right, then your fate will be held in my hands this darkened eve." She would be prepared for either decision. Lucifer would tear her a new one when she returns home for sure for revealing herself so hastily...

"Now that's what I call 'fun'." Demetri taunted, a hand sat on her hip. "Well, well. And so you aren't a run away. Tell me if I'm wrong.." A smile, then she giggled. ".. but I would think you as some sort of witch." Her eyes were fiery, but not with anger. Amusement. She'd lost her handle on the emotion 'fear'.

Being stabbed through her body, a limb torn off once or twice, and still living made it easy to be unafraid. "My fate's in your hands?" She almost fell with her laughter. "Let's play, ma'am. Then, we'll talk about 'fate'." Demetri was off towards the figure, her feet kicked up the ankle high snow as she sped. She saw her target, the un-fadeing smoke never dis-ableing her.

She dashed to the side, cutting off around the figure, and coming back on the other side. Her favorite fighting plan; to catch the other off guard. No one ever expected that, right? (XD)

Her foot fell into the other's side and...

"Fool," Was the last word she uttered before letting her palm reopen revealing the marking once again. "If this does not give way to my personage then you have no right to be an immortal." She let her palm face towards the night sky and in it began to manifest a short black staff. The staff radiated an ice cold aura so frigid that it was burning hot. It rested lightly in her hand until she took full grasp, letting her hand clench it with unimaginable strength. The staff began to glow bright red and black blood that looked like tar began to drip from her grip to stain the icy snow below.

The staff elongated once the connection was made and soon grew to about 6-7 feet long. She twisted it deftly in the air and with a resounding crash slammed it against the ground, scattering the snow from it's resting place.

The exact instant it collided with the ground the sound of metal against metal rang throughout this clearing. Almost as if spring loaded, a deadly looking blade now stood off from the staff, menacingly glinting in the dim light that was cast from the stars above.

This whole sequence occurred in half a second, and she was quite prepared when the approaching foot came very close to her mid section. With great speed she tilted her scythe's end up, with both hands now on the hilt, in time to catch the back of the heel that was on a collision course with her waist. Lifting it high in the air she forced the girl into a backwards flip. Once recovered from the defending move, she swung the blade deftly at the attacking offender, the wind whistling as the blade cut through the air.

As soon as Demetri flipped, she landed on all fours, jumping back again just in case there was an extra blow. She was correct. "Aah. You're the funnest so far!" Though she put up a great wall, she was truthfully frightened by the idea of being mortal. She hadn't felt it in a long time. The pain of a cut, the sting of a burn.

Her memory went back as she started to fear this threat. One memory in particular made her cringe at the thought of being such, again. It was before she was a vampire. A time of innocence and play. Just a child, she ran into the road while playing chase.

A scream as she was pushed to the ground. And even before could get up, even take a breath, a wagon ran right over her arm and shoulder, barely missing her head. Another scream, this time from her throat. Desprerate calls from her to her mother. She didn't come. People crowded.. people stared..

She was ripped from her mind when she realized she was still sitting there. "Witch!" She met the other's eyes, her grey and freckled purple ones flashing. "Let's play a game of.." Demetri was gone for a moment, returning again closer to the girl. "Hide and Seek." Again gone, only the sound of trees brustling in the wind.

Ignorant childish creature' She thought as she brought her staff to a stand still at her side, the vampire now hiding somewhere deep in this forest. 'Well, since she still doesn't know who I am, I guess it's safe to assume that The Dark One won't have a tizzy fit over me revealing myself.' She set off slowly into the shadows, trailing away from the clearing which held the escapees. Time was even closer now to their lives coming to an end.

It was very silly to hide from a creature that could sense the living and the dead, but she continued forward following her trail. Her cloak billowed softly with the same smoke from earlier near the base and the hellish fabric did well in hiding everything but her hand that continued to hold her beloved scythe. She began to think about the woman's nature and how fickle her decision making was.

She slowed to a stop, picking up on the creatures dead aura.

"You can come out now. I have a different game we can play." That was sure to grab the attention of the frustrating female. Grim Reapers hardly ever played the games of death. But in this case, the proposal of such a rare event would postpone any actions long enough for her task to be completed. 'I'm sure his Evilness wouldn't mind a new recruit.' she thought to herself planning out the game.
