The sound of his mother's breath was echoing throughout the stallion's mind. She was a gentle soul though her temperaments were more of something that shouldn't overestimated either. She was in body and spirit a giving, loving presence that called to her child so openly.

The stallion moved like fluid motion as his head dipped and bobbed taking in the salty air as it blew threw his mane. He knew she loved him as he loved Ayelet and his children. Every shimmering movement in the distance signaled to him the biggest sign of them all.

Welcome home Mizu.

As his feet touched upon the sand and sunk slowly into the softness he began to feel alive once more. The salt in the air awakened him as the water guardian moved closer to his birthright. Somber calls from the gulls far off in the distance combined with the swaying waves of blues and greens made him hold his head up higher then ever before. The light that shined off each foaming crest created a blueness so crystal clear making the water flow outward deeper and darker. Nothing had changed since he left nearly a year ago.

Pounding the sand where the beach was perfectly untouched, Mizu hurried to the foamy shoreline. As if in a dance he called out rearing high pulling deeper and deeper into his mother's embrace. Water flew around him in a deep spray of cerulean falling back to the ocean's continuous rolling waves. He was not being scolded or lectured as he thought deeply breathing in his mistress' scent. It was more of a joyous cry that he had returned. Together they played as a water nymph laughs through life as long as its element was so close to it's heart. Simply stunning in a show of elegance and beauty the two were inseparable.

After several minutes had passed the stallion shook the water from his coat. Lifting his head toward the edge of the shoreline, Mizu looked upward with a confident gaze. Nodding to the ones that had followed him back he welcomed his family to his birthplace.

After the return home things had settled as the wayward stallion began his life anew under his mother's watchful eyes. Her waves remained calm each day unless the rains came but never torrential or deadly. The great Mother was at peace with her child's return as she welcomed him and his family under her watchful vigil. Seeing the foals grow to adults and waving to them as they entered their own worlds called life. It was a marvelous experience to live in a paradise where a great being was your protector.

So as the year passed and things settled much like the sands after the tides the stallion traced his usual steps out toward the welcoming water, standing there inhaling the salty mist. Nodding his proud head he pawed the drenched sands as the sea swirled around him.

She welcomed her child as he desired his Mistress' praise. Lapping against his legs she soaked into his soul, deep into his being. Sometimes she'd send waves not violently, but fast enough to cover her majestic son. For years upon years the stallion remembered these nights and days where it was simply the two of them. Nothing but serene calmness and tranquility to rock him into a dozing sleep where he did dream he was the sea.

He traveled for miles in his dreams and saw his Mistress great kingdom. The great stallion took note of the fishes, plants, and even the sands that caught a glimmer of the reflected sunlight deep below. She shared this with him and he accepted without a moment's hesitation. Though he could not travel there on his own she lead him there every night.

But this evening something troubled him as he swam in the sea with Mistress and she spoke to him. Not in voice but soul as he moved his great legs within the depths.

My Mizu what troubles you my child? Are you not happy back among your home and heart?

The great stallion thought deeply as he moved in the water of the dream shaking his head, "Mother. My Mistress I long to go back to that place where my foals were born. Far across the plains where I gave Ayelet my heart. The only mate I will ever take till the day I return fully to you as the sea."

The great sea listened and she felt her son's heartache and desire. But she did not steer him in her direction. The sea nearly nodded.

Then you must go my son. But never forget who you are or where you belong. As the sea meets the sand so must the sea return to the water it is made of. I missed you last time yet I traveled in spirit. I will do the same once again my water stallion.

Mizu blinked as he made his way out of the dream to reappear back on the shoreline standing there. A slight smile curved on his muzzle as his eyes flickered then he spoke, "Thank you mother. I'm sure my mate will desire this as well."

Morning was arriving as was his spirits as he bolted to life calling his lovely mate, "Ayelet! Ayelet!" he bellowed though gentle and caring. He was ready for a new adventure and waited eagerly to share this new experience with his mate.

Long since had passed the day when Ayelet had followed Mizu back to the beach. On that day, she looked on with eyes as bright as the sun, watching the love of her life become one with the sea again. It was a perfect moment in which she realized how grateful she was for the stallion that completed her life.

The children they had raised together were a reflection of all the love that they had to share. They grew up so fast, but life could not have been any better for Ayelet. She had the love of Mizu, and the love of her children. Eventually, like the tide, each heard their own calling. Of the three Hiruki decided to spend his life close to his parents. Ayelet adored her son, but never stopped missing her daughters. She often dreamed of when all of her family was together.

Hiruki spent much of his time with Mizu and Ayelet, but tended to leave them for a few days at a time. He was old enough to understand they enjoyed their alone time.

Nothing could compare to the moments in which she was with Mizu. The love she had from him never wavered, but only grew stronger with each passing day. Every time he was there to touch her, her heart warmed and melted. Any way she could return that love, she had. Anything he ever needed, she tried to be there and support him. The ocean was the biggest part of that support. She never once asked to leave the shore, content with how happy Mizu was to live here. Wherever he was, is where her home sweet home would always be.

Today, she was napping on the beach. The sun beckoned for spring to come, and warmed the back of her eyelids. Ayelet blinked at the bright sun, waking to the sound of Mizu calling out her name. She lifted her head and smiled the kind of smile lovers use. "Yes my Love?" She moved a leg in the sand, stretching it out and craning her neck up to him. She blinked, wondering what he was so excited about. Man did she love him. She waited for him to reach down and nuzzle her then say what was on his mind.

((Its been ages... bear with me I may be a bit shaky Rping him))

As the loving mother's voice faded behind him he focused upon his sunrise. Oh how she warmed the embodied waves and his eternal spirit! He approached her not abruptly but with the passion two lovers secretly know in their hearts. His mistress would never fade away fully for his heart could never be tamed like that of the sea. He came to a halt near her his nostrils taking in her unique scent. She was his breath and he her soul. A beautiful creature that bore life letting his soul intertwine with hers and their children. Today he knew not where the land would carry them nor would he care. His mistress released him to the fresh waters for him to learn and live as Ayelet did. He retorted haughty at first but that perfect sunrise lead him further then the sea.

"Ayelet...." he blew out softly leaning in to nibble on her shoulder, "Are you ready for our journey?" His deep eyes that seemed to ebb and flow much like his breath asked her much as his heart did. He pulled himself in closer breathing her scent in heavily once more. My mistress has granted passage my dear Ayelet so we must go when you are ready. The summer sun will scorch the land but the sea will always lead us back to her arms. Come now...". He stepped away from her tossing his massive head as the sun glittered upon his endless saturated coat.

Pawing the ground he moved forward toward the woods letting everything fill him with newness and revival. Indeed this was the new journey. Come what may he'd protect her much like his foals. An ocean of dreams would never founder if the sun was shining upon him.

User ImageAyelet stretched once more, closing her eyes from the gentle nibble of her Mizu. Golden eyes, with a deep black sclera looked up at him, with the always warm glow of her face. Rising to her hooves, she shook her rump, letting the sand fall from her hair. Ayelet always had that perfect beach kissed crunch and curl to her hair. Oh how she loved the smell of the beach on her. Everything about the beach, reminded her of her great blue stallion, and their life together. She gave him a musical confirmation, humming in pleasure at the thought of adventuring off with him again. The very thought, something she had been excited about for some time now. This trip was long over due!

"Yes. I am ready." she said, as she casually walked up beside him, flipping her hair out of her eyes. The two had already said their goodbyes to anyone that would notice they were gone. Ayelet picked up a satchel, as they walked close to it. Provisions were brought with them, since the land was still cold, and food could be scarce in areas. Ayelet had packed dried fruit skins, carrots, and other hearty foods that wouldn't spoil. She didn't over-pack though. Trying foods that were local to the places they traveled, would be part of the adventure.

Ayelet had already thought about the dangers they could face on their trip, recalling the last time they ran into that dragon like beast of a mare. As she analyzed the possibility though, she told herself that her stallion would protect her, no matter what. She had no doubt in her mind, that he could keep them both safe. No dangers every found them on the shore. Nor should they dare, when Mizu was so close to the element that gave him power. The ocean coursed through his veins, his very coat moist with the feel of the sea. The sea, he called his mistress. This never bothered her. The sea was as much a part of him, as she was. She knew about his love of the sea, before she fell in love with him. It was not her intent to ever replace his love of the sea. Instead, she embraced every part of him, and tried to live along side all the things that make him who he is.

Reaching her sun kissed face over to Mizu, she gave him a n** at his cheek, then nuzzled him with her own cheek. "Today is a good day. This is not 'Goodbye' to the sea, but rather, a 'See you soon'." she said as she turned to the ocean, as if saying it directly to the waves that bid them farewell. She smiled at Mizu, finding comfort in being by his side, and no regret to leaving their home for a bit.

There was no hesitation in his stride as his fluid movements carried him further from the sea. His Sunrise's scent kept him stable as he lead her into a strange paradise. While his heart called back to the sea he felt a might push to keep going to wherever his destination may be. He tossed his head and headed to a walk from the strides they'd taken. In truth Ayelet knew more about the land beyond the seascapes. She was his navigator in a sense knowing things to be eaten and others to be left alone. The breeze was cool this day causing him to taken in the scents around him. While the great water stallion was attuned to the grasses near the beaches this was different to him. Shaking his head he craned his neck downward and cropped the sweet grasses that grew like a massive carpet around his feet. They were much different but it was satisfying for the moment. When he was finished the water soaked male raised his head looking at his mate, "So Ayelet my beautiful sunrise what do you hope to find on our journey?"

It was a heartfelt question leaving him in wonderment what his mate's desires were. His eyes were lucrative flickering the sky like sunshine peeking into the depths, They were uncontrollable like his heart yet deep and full of love for the one he claimed as his own. For a moment he pondered on his two other children that had strayed from the moment they became adults. Would they find eternal bliss in the sunlight or seek the depths that called his very soul. It was a query indeed much like the ebb and flow of the ocean. Kasumi was much like himself though her name meaning mist meant she wandered from time to time. Perhaps someday both he and Ayelet would hear from her once again.

Closing his eyes he felt his mistress in spirit around him. Her very essence was cool to the touch and mysterious as the great body of water from whence she came. She whispered softly like a soothing lullaby and he was content. She would always be with him even when the sea was a dream away. His nostrils still taking in the scents of the meadow they stood within registered other animals in the vicinity but no other Soquili which for the time being he was glad for. He wasn't the selfish type but in his eyes she was his sunrise. She was the only glimmer of hope beyond the ocean that drove him to follow his dreams day after day. Without her he would have been a rogue wave amongst endless possibilities. With Ayelet he stayed grounded and still he loved the thought deep in his heart, mind, and soul.

"Ayelet... come to me" he spoke in a deep nurturing tone, "Tell me what's on your mind". His eyes never lost vigil of her nor would they fathom anything but her presence. She truly was a gift that he gave thanks for from the morning tides to the evening ones. It was an understanding in life that was his ebb and flow of reality.

User Image"We shall rise when the sun rises, and follow it's lead across familiar lands. Along the way, it may be that the path before us, is one we haven't taken before. We should go where our hooves lead us." she responded to his first question, as to where they should go. Anywhere they ended up, would be a great place to be, as long as it was with Mizu. Together they would make the most of anything. Idealistically, she could find beauty in the most basic of place.

What was on her mind? The sea, their home, the journey ahead of them. A little of everything! "I am feeling nostalgic, and remembering the last trip we made." she said as she brushed up against his side. Often, she recalled their trip, and the magic of falling in love. "I look forward to making new memories with you Mizu." She blushed, and smiled, looking at him with trusting eyes that windowed her heart.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could return to grandkids? Or even kids of their own... Ayelet too often thought of their daughters that left to go pursue life outside the beach. It had been nice to adopt and care for Oshin, the usdia she found on the beach. He turned out to be so wise and thoughtful, and very easy to take care of. As an adult though, he wandered often, in search of his long lost twin. Like her own son, he always cared about his family. Just as the tide pulls and ebs, Oshin returns to the waters to visit the ocean, and his family. Ayelet liked to think that even though he wasn't a direct child of Mizu, that he learned much from him. Oshin always seemed so calm and collected.

Ayelet looked around as the tall grass whipped at her knees, and the gentle breeze carried the sea salt smell off of Mizu's coat. The smell of salt and brine always gave her great comfort. Mizu was her living underwater current, that guided her through life. She felt whole with him around.

As the grass made the sands dissipate, to harder soil, she felt her legs respond to the solid ground. The muscles in her legs were accustomed to walking on sand. Now they could relax, and walk a little easier. Ayelet had gotten stronger. In both body, and soul. A loving family, and a great home could do that to a mare.

"Is there anyplace you'd like to go? I would imagine there are a few festivals going on this time of year. The weather is perfect for soquili to get together, and interact with one another. Perfect for our little adventure too." she said with a brilliant, warm smile at Mizu.

Oshin. Don't know if I ever mentioned him being adopted by Ayelet.

"I think...." the stallion breathed with intensity as his nostrils furrowed inward and outward, "where your heart takes us I shall be your guide".

Beeing deep and lucrative as his mistress he found happiness in greater things such as Ayelet and their children since he wandered past the beachfront into the epic world beyond. Previously, their adventure had taken them across many terrains which made him uneasy but he put trust in the sky his heart belonged to. The sea always looked up toward the sky as the sky admired the glistening waves rocking gently below. It seemed mystical how each were drawn deeply to one another if by chance of fate.

"Kasumi" he spoke with a deep yet assuring tone "she has moved to the coast the last time we spoke last". Being a great water stallion he longed to know where the children of the sky and water roamed. Kasumi had moved onward saying something whispered in fate or merely instinct. Mizu pondered just what she spoke of being lucrative like an ebb and flow of the ocean. Seemingly set in a mysterious personality she wandered one night off toward her calling. "Perhaps we should travel to the coast to the festivals and Kasumi's presence". Being born of the sea meant a free spirit gliding from land to water and returning once more. His dark-eyed daughter seemed most like him breathing the soul of his mistress but yet her temperament was fleeting with movement. Perhaps it was his own curiosity that prompted him to offer their destination surrounding their daughter's whereabouts but he'd never relay that outloud.

Shaking his massive head he leaned inward inhaling her scent mingled with the ocean and the grasslands. In a playful manner he lipped her cheek with his muzzle blowing out softly. "My beautiful sky" he spoke in a deep soothing tone, "Shall we begin?"

Then he moved away from her breathing in the scents from the outerworld listening to the waves get softer though he'd never forsake his beautiful spirited mistress. In his presence she'd smiled the first time he'd taken his foals to her as she gently moved rocking just gazing upon the sea and the sky. The spirit of the sea she beamed in harmony seeing new life promising her grand stallion never to grow angry in their presence. Her kiss was eternal a salted breath deep from the belly of the tides as it covered the water stallion in hope and open mind.

Pausing momentarily he looked back at his radiant sunset, "Oshin. Do you think he perhaps he has made his way to the outer coast as well?" It was spontaneous thought from the great lucrative stallion and yet he pondered Ayelet thinking of her adopted son. Maybe a simple wonderment but the adventure they both set out upon could have the events of something to grace their presence.

Everything followed its own ebb and flow yet sometimes a solitary object within the ocean of life could forever change the waves that knew nothing related to change. Pawing at the ground he looked at her for her answer knowing already deep within the one thing he would hear.

User ImageAyelet sighed with a warm heart, and leaned into Mizu's touch. Even after all this time, his touch made her melt and feel alive all at the same time. Warmth and love were her smile back at him, as her breath caught in her mouth in a gentle noise of contentment. "Yes, my handsome blue sea. Let's get on our way." she said in reply to him calling her a beautiful sky. Looking at him and soaking in the handsome way he looked. Even when sand and salt kissed his coat, those wavy locks of hair retained such beautiful movement. Mizu was so much more to her than good looks though. The best part, was how great a father he was! Like any loving father, his thoughts went to their daughter, and the son they had raised. Mizu was more father to Oshin, than any biological father. That's what mattered most.

It had been far too long since they had seen Kasumi. The thought made her heart ache with the yearn of a mother for her child. "Following the land as it hugs the outter shore, sounds like a perfect plan. if we run into Kasumi, it will be a pleasant bonus to our trip. I do love her so. She takes after her father so much." she said with a twinkle in her eye. Kasumi took after her mother too. Before Ayelet met Mizu, she too had a wandering spirit. They created wonderful children with their similarities, and their differences fused into individualism.

"Oshin is not far. I told Hiruki to let him know we would not be gone for too long, if he should happen to come back before we do. So many of our children, even those adopted, seem to love travel." she said with a light sigh. It would be nice if they all stayed near the shore. But like a bird in a cage, she felt they would never truly be happy that way. She appreciated that they all wanted to experience life for themselves. Having raised Oshin from the moment he broke free of his basket, had rekindled her love of instilling wisdom and love on a new growing life. Parenthood was something she thoroughly enjoyed. One of life's gifts she never took for granted. Every moment with a foal, regardless of it's size, was treasured.

Ayelet walked beside Mizu, looking in the direction they were heading. To go North, or South? Ayelet was named after the morning star, in the east. She was always drawn to that direction. The coast didn't head in that direction necessarily. "I think we should head North to North-West, if Kasumi is in that direction." South, the sea ended, so North seemed like a greater choice to where they might want to go.
