Run run run run run! That was all Rikku could think as she plowed over the plains away from the small Kawani village towards the black expanse of forest beyond. She had a basket of treasures held in her mouth and a heard of screeching two-legs on her tail. Still she felt so alive! A grin stretched her muzzle and she giggled around the handle in her mouth.
It hit her about then, her muscles were aching and no matter how much air she sucked in it didn't seem to be enough. She was getting tired, very very tired and had no clue how much longer her legs could carry her at this pace. She was so tired, but she had to get away from the village in case the two-legs decided they should search the forest for her and their treasures.
Trotting didn't last long though and she slowed to a snail speed walk still huffing and puffing.
Around midnight Rikku finally figured it was safe to stop in a small clearing she had found. Flopping to the ground under a tree she curled herself around her treasure basket and started to doze off
