Tess Mercer > Lex Luthor.
There, I said it. I am so much more interested in Tess as a character than I ever was in Lex. Cassidy Freeman is an awesome actress and a great addition to the cast. I really thought I would like Davis more and expected not to be at all interested in Tess, and the exact opposite happened.
Also, Tess/Lois. I know I'm not the only one.

Tess is awesome. She really is a down to business type person. Lex in the later seasons got neutered by Lana so he wasn't that intimidating anymore.
And yes, I do enjoy Lois's interaction with this paticular editor. haha

Either way I can't wait for more Smallville. She is doing a lot more than Lex ever did. She is doing stuff with the crystal, assembling a team. And Green Arrow doesn't want to kill her which is a major advantage.

For The First Time I'm Ready To Stop Running I think Tess is okay, but honestly she feels kinda like a replacement for Lex to me. I hate feeling like that I want to like her but I just can't seem to get over that feeling.I'm Ready To Face My Destiny

I agree on some level. Tess Mercer is like the Chloe Sullivan of Villians. IN the way that she was never in the comics but is an overall curious character. I like that we virtually know nothing about her character and that she is so new that we don't really know where they are going to go with her character. I mean i really like how its REALLY difficult to tell if her character is good or bad or bad with good intentions. kind of like an earlier Lex luther...the only thing is that we all knew that Lex would eventually come Evil. i really hope they don't write her off because they have a lot of room for growth. I personally hope she stays bad. Like the whole Joseph Conrad ideal that every heart has a pathway paved to darkness

Do I like Tess Mercer? You'd better believe it, I'm planning a music video on her I like her so much!!!!
As much as I loved Lex, I'm glad that he left the show, it got kinda tiring to say every season: LEX DID IT!!!! It's refreshing to see new villains each season.
