This is a little thought I had that I figured would be fun smile
This is an rp set in the past, in a world called Asmera. It's very much LIKE earth, but is NOT earth. The world is ruled by Gods and Goddesses. The lands are goverened by Demi-Gods, and the rulees are humans. There are three races of humans, Sky, Land, and Water.

Sky humans have large feathery wings, of any color imaginable, though wing colors run in families. If the mother has blue wings and the father has white, the children would have EITHER blue or white, not both, and not any other color. These humans spend most of their lives in the skies, as such, their legs are very weak and they cannot survive long on the ground without the help of a land human. A very select few have the ability to hide their wings while on the ground, but these individuals are few and far between, these people have god blood far far far back in their family lines.

Land humans look just like us humans. Those Land humans with gods blood are more intuitive. They can pick out Gods, Sky, and Water humans hiding among Land humans.

Water humans are basically mermaids, they have lungs, not gills, so they cannot spend unlimited amounts of time underwater, they must get air every 12 hours. They have many devices for retaining air underwater, but even so, they must return to the surface every so often to fill them. They can leave the water for short periods of time. If they do not get back into the water, their skin dries up. They are always weaker out of the water than in, because of the weight difference. The very few of them with gods blood can stay underwater twice as long as regular humans, and stay out of the water for several days without going back in.

These three races lived in peace until the Gods and Goddesses came. These Gods and Goddesses appeared seemingly from nowhere and appointed themselves as rulers, because they were the strongest. Soon they became bored. Ruling over peaceful people is uneventful, so they began to use their powers to build strife between the races. It came to be that the sky humans proved to be the dominant human race, because they could attack and fly off without a moment's notice. A sky human that falls onto the ground, or into the water is sentenced to death should a land or water human find them. The Land and Water humans are reluctant allies, having had their own wars in the past, but presently, the Sky humans are the greatest risk.

The gods are not evil however, they are bored. Some choose to push the war along, while others attempt to stop it.

SO! Here's the fun part!
Choose who you wanna be, God, Goddess, Demi-God(dess), Sky, Land, or Water human. All parts are open, just remember that this is set in the past, IE, no one gets a cell phone, and no one can trot over to McDonald's.

Bio: a rather sweet person, she doesn't go in for the whole war thing. in other words, she doesn't fight. she prefers the pleasures of life to the horrors that fighting brings, however she had been recruited into the war to be a messanger, due to the fact that she is one of the fastest, strongest, and most skilled fliers around. this suited her fine, it allowed her to feel reckless while at the same time not force her to kill.

*The sky was a bright clear blue with some clouds rolling by. Ran laid back and spread out comfortably in the tall grass. The day had been a long one but luckily, the shop he worked at closed up early. The hill that Ran laid on was on the outskirts of his small hometown. His town was a not-so-popular harbor with a hillside surrounding it. The beachside covered the third face of the town and power-generating windmills lined the hillside. He closed his eyes for a while as he rested, then openned them and looked to the sky. He wondered how something so pretty could harbor creatures so evil*

::Lin was flying above Ran as he had his eyes closed, carrying a tightly wraped bundle in her arms and humming softly as she flew. just another half hour flight ans she'd be home, safe and sound... or at least, that was the theory if she hadn't dropped the package... muttering a soft curse, she dives after the bundle, only to have to pull up several feet above the ground as it lands on an earth boy laying on the ground. hovering just out of reach, she studies him hesitantly then:: toss that up please ::politley::

Mariata floated in the clouds, looking down at everyone. She frowned as she watched Belinda. "What is that crazy Belinda doing now?" She dropped lower in the clouds and decided to watch Lin and Ran, wondering what Lin had wrapped in that bundle.

::sits primly on the windmill, trying to look like a regular sky human, she preens her wings a bit, but keeps one eye on the two humans.::
