Heavy clouds above him teased the threat of another snow, there was already some on the ground, but not enough to send all the prey creatures into their winter sleep, just yet. Xi was searching out something active and alive to eat, he was beginning to tire of fish, of course he would never tell this to Su, the poor dear would fish for hours in the freezing river, even if Xiang could fend for them easily, the silly boy wouldn't eat fuzzy creatures! Xi let out a sigh as he felt his mood drop further and his breath puffed away from his face in a wispy stream of warm air.
So, on and on Xi flew, circling high above, his eyes now and then searching for something down there that he could really sink his teeth into, if only the prey wouldn't go as pale as the snowy ground, this would be so much easier...

Balthial, out and about for quite a bit of time noticed the first time this white cloth that seemed to cover almost half the vally.. EVEN THE MEADOWS! She bounced out of the bushes in a springing manner. To follow the butterfly that seemed to chase her and now make itself the leader.
A soft laughed made even the trees happy to be there. Waving their branches filled with snow. The bouncing Lamb like Ulaya- flaunting out. "Hehehe~" The laughs continued down in the vally where the meadows grew large and vast. With hardly any hiding. Why hide? From a beautiful day such as this..And she had then gone adventuring alone.. Leaving her guardian asleep in the home not to far off.
"Hey!" She squeaked and threw herself in to the air to try and fly with the butterfly. It was mostly in vain since she found nothing under her hooves and fell promptly in a heep of snow.. Much higher than she was. floooooop Making a deep hole full of Bathial in it. "EPP!" She fell and when she landed on the hard ground she looked up. "WooooooW..." She hopped and managed to get her hooves hooked on to a rock a slowly pull herself up. Wigglin her fluffy tail up in the air as her rump went up in some weird fashion to get out of the hole. Unnoticing above- a hungry.....and LARGE winged ulaya was up in the sky on such a day as this one.

Something, something~ Ah there, something dark was poking out from the snow, he couldn't tell for sure from the distance, but it seemed to be hopping about, a rabbit? Or? ... Giving a midair shrug, Xi dove at the ground, claws out, he knew that rabbits gave a nasty kick if you didn't stun them right off.
As the distance closed and he dropped from the sky, Xi noticed that the creature was rather larger than a rabbit, it's fur was off too, so curly, he banked his wings and instead of going straight for the kill he aimed to snatch it off the ground and get a good look at it first, better to know what it is you're eating. A split second later Xiang was on the ground and grabbing to snatch up the little one in his forepaws. "Well, what tasty thing have I caught myself now?" He asked in a rhetorical tone, not at all expecting an answer.

Balthial was just about to hop away before getting swooped before she knew it. Right out of the air! "Gaz?" She said in a giggling voice, but once she rose her head.. She wasn't greeted by a beautiful black maned lion.. No. She was greeted by a firey angel.. "Wooooow..."
Her eyes were large and in awe. "Are you an angel?" Her voice childish and not a hint of maturity. She wiggled a bit, her hooves both buckling beneath her as she flailed them. Her tail padding to each side of her and she laughed softly in upmost glee. Unaware that this 'angel' was going to eat her at all. Innoncence shows throughout it all.. She shouldn't have left Gaz's sight.. should have stayed near the cave- but what could she do!
It was a beautiful day out and she just had to say hello!

Xiang's snatching swoop had taken him to the ground and back into the air very swiftly, he had not expected the preything to talk back to him when he asked it what it was and in his startlement the wiggling ulaya kit had slipped from his grip, dropping back to the snow covered ground before he knew he had let her go. Snatching again with his short claws Xi tried to save her but she fell none the less, in the brief moment, he hoped that she wouldn't be hurt, the snow padded the ground at least some, right?
Xi dropped from the air after the girl and landed near to her, looming over, "Are you alright, kit?" He swallowed, reaching out to nudge at her form.

When Balthial heard a voice- her body felt the gravity pull her with god only knows~ with force ~ but a light sort of force. Falling.. OH SHE WAS FALLING! Her ears had went up and her fur flowing about. Then! she heard the swooping from the wings.. Well. The ones she thought she heard just before. But she heard a more- GAZ!
 When Gaz had woken up not too long before Bathial left on her way to see the world. Oh, and greet it might he add. He got up in a strong sort of way. His muscles showing right as he did and to make it easier on himself, and Balthial.. He threw his weight back on his hind legs and pushed in to the air. His large black, red and skined toned wings outstretched and hurled him in to the air...
He was fine with flying.. A few minutes in pure glide before he saw something light. Flaming? He thought.. and when he noticed the little blur of a darker coloring in the paws of the light.. His heart fell and along with Balthial apparently! As she fell he felt his wings curl inside and quickly made himself aerodynamic to fall in a sort of diagonal angle. He landed only moments before the lighter ulaya did.
He was glowing, more.. Flames enhanced.. His paws hit the snowy ground. Instantly makitg 'thud' noises as he did. His tail flicking in worry as he padded towards her. Almost forgetting that the light Ulaya even existed. What mattered was Balthial. Circling around where she fell half ways before looking up and seeing Xiang.. A growl surfaced and then a roar was aching to get out. Putting a paw in the direction of xiang, right next to the hole. Then he slowly and cautiously nipped Balthial in the scruff and pulled her up from the snow. Still cautious, out stretching his wings~ in a very.. very protective way. Then setting her down beside him, having his tail move her behind him.
When she fell with a floop her brain did not fully process that she did. Fall. The snow was bout.. four kits above her~ and she wiggled her head with snow on her head and on her back. "mep~bbbaahhhh~"
Then at once's a maw took her scruff and held her up.. and once she saw that it wasn't the firey one.. Her eyes lit up and looked up. Wiggling her tail.. but noticed that Gaz was ..not happy. "Bah~?" Then Balthial felt the tail curl around her and set her behind him, her eyes in wonderment of what was happening..

Xiang was very nearly startled out of his skin, he had previously swooped down upon the kit, not knowing that she was his own kind, after a fashion, with all intent and purpose to eat her, but now, now that he knew, well the very idea was the last thing on his mind, instead, with the appearance of this new male, and Xi was very sure the other winged creature before him was very male, Xi did know a thing or two about males, indeed, he was in no mood to explain the misunderstanding. The growl that escaped the other also was unwelcome and Xiang growled right back, he was instantly jealous of the other's wingspan and speed, instantly on the defensive, he took a step back from the girl and her guardian, but no more. As far as Xi could tell the girl was unhurt from the mishap, so he felt no extraordinary need to apologize for his action, no matter how sorry he would have been had she been hurt in the least, but, no harm, no foul, right?
With a snort of annoyance and indifference Xi moved to turn away from the pair...

"Don't turn your back on me." He lightly growled. Lifting his body up.. he was. Big. A lion, would have been expected by this size. He.. did not waver. For he was protecting something dear to him.. Of course though.. If that something dear was too.. naive.
"Gaz! How could you!" She bahhed at him almost angrily.. she was incapable of being mad though.. She jumped over his tail and went on over to follow the flaming one. "Don't talk to God's angels like that!" She bahh~ his ears tucking back as she jumped along to the fire one's side. She was .. limbing though when she started to walk. It seemed that one foot had slammed before the others to break the fall.. But she didn't notice. Her tail wagging happily even as she lightly limbed. "Im sorry... Gaz is always like thhhaaaa T."
He felt instantly that he did something wrong.. but what!? He was no angel! Or..was he? He lowered his head lightly.. "Balthial.. " He whispered but of course he didn't want to do anything now against her- but as he stared.. He noticed. "!?" He trotted after them. "Balthial! Your hurt~" Of course she probably wouldn't believe him since she was still walking.. It looked like.. something must have went out of place or something! He'd know.. He had been with her since her birth..

Xiang had continued his turn and had begun to stalk away, ignoring the command issued with a smirk on his lips, when was the last time Xi listened to anyone, even he couldn't remember. He stifled a laugh lightly when the little female reprimanded the male, incorrectly, but it was still funny to Xi all the same. He stopped and shifted his gaze back at the other male, glancing and the youth for only an instant, the other was advancing now and Xi was on guard. Gaz, Balthial, he took mental note of their names.
"Is she really, Gaz, or do you just want to challenge me?" He narrowed his gold colored eyes at the lion-like male, Xi didn't notice a difference to the trot of the youth, but he really hadn't payed her much attention at all since he'd dropped her and been confronted by Gaz, if he was so worried about the little lamb, he should just let Xi go on his way, Xi was still hungry and wanted to be off and not hang around the girl and her over protective guardian.
