-Sublevels-
In addition to the campus grounds, the Xavier Institute also houses an array of restricted access Sub-Levels. In the sub-levels you will find The Danger Room, War Room, Hangar Bay, holding cells, research and development labs, medical labs and Cerebra chamber.
Voice-activated hallway icons give interactive directions through the sub-levels, though these are restricted to the sub-levels.
Access to the sub-levels is only available to faculty, X-Men, and students -- although students are only granted access once they have spoken to their squad leader or faculty advisor.
To access the sub-levels you must go to the hyperlift at the end of the hallway in the foyer, then proceed through the various security measures such as hand scans, retina scans, voice scans and passcodes.
The Danger Room
The Danger Room consists of two parts, the Danger Room itself, and the Control Room which is housed above the Danger Room. To the untrained eye, the Danger Room is a featureless room. To those who are (un)fortunate enough to engage its systems, it is the ultimate battle simulator. It employs highly advanced technologies from sources such as the Shi'ar, Forge and Beast.
The Danger Room pits its opponents against an array of physical and holographic opponents that tests a trainees' mastery over their mutant powers to peak endurance.
Using the advanced technologies, the Danger Room can give the illusion of being many times bigger than it actually is. Anything from gravity, heat, humidity, or texture can be manipulated from the control booth.
Students are not permitted to be in the Danger Room unless accompanied by an instructor or X-Man.
The Cerebra Chamber
To most people, it's a big, round room. To those who actually know what it is, it is no less than amazing. The Cerebra chamber houses Cerebra, a mutant locating and telepathic ability amplifier. When a telepath uses Cerebra, their telepathic abilities are boosted to an incredible degree. It is usually used for scanning for new mutants, but it can be used for other purposes.
A non-telepath can also use the Cerebra machine, although this is not recommended unless they are trained because they may experience various degrees of psychic trauma.
The Holding Cells
The holding cells are an underground storage facility for those villains that the X-Men deem too unsafe to let roam about freely. The holding cells consist of small titanium-steel cells with the same type of door. Various safety measures can be taken such as erecting an internal force field to back up the titanium-steel walls, a nullification field to 'switch off' mutant abilities, and various other precautions. There are also stasis tubes which hold inhabitants in a state of suspended animation until they are awakened.
The War Room
The War Room is located near the Danger Room. It is the 'operating center' of the X-Men. This is where briefings are given, missions are planned, and meetings take place.
There are various computers and monitors around the War Room, each with their own function. The War Room monitors news feeds from every news network on television and radio, and scans every known frequency for reports on events occurring around the world. Thanks to the artificially intelligent computer program Cerebra running throughout the mansion, the X-Men don't need to scan 24/7. If Cerebra picks up something, it will notify the X-Men through their communication links.
Research & Development and Medical Labs
These labs are usually used by Dr. Henry McCoy and other medically-trained mansion staff. RALPH, the holographic doctor is also installed in the lower-level Medical Lab in the event that Dr. McCoy or another member of the medical team is unavailable. When Team Marvel stripped the Mansion of its technology. Dr. McCoy had to reinstall it all, making a few modifications along the way. His own personal lab and the medical lab are now equipped with tele-immersive displays.
The Hangar Bay
This is one of the very few places on the Estate that is actually as it seems. The Hangar Bay is just that, an underground area for the storage of the X-Men's aircraft, notably the Blackbird. The exit and entry point has been relocated. Prior to reconstruction, it was located at Devil's Rock, but now it is located beneath the basketball court. A klaxon will sound to warn anyone nearby to evacuate the area. Students, faculty, and X-Men are advised to move immediately.
Morlock Tunnels
On the off-chance that the Mansion is invaded, there is an access hatch to the Morlock Tunnels in the sub-levels. This is only to be used in an all-out invasion or attack. Students are to be lead out first by a member of staff, followed by other staff and faculty members, and, if necessary, the X-Men.
Z'noxx Chamber
This is a secret chamber in the sub-levels that only Charles Xavier and a select few besides Jean Grey know about. It is a psi-proof room, but other than that, nothing more is known about it.

The three mutants made their way down the corridor leading to Cerebro. Beast was exiting his lab when they reached Cerebro, "Oh my. Are we trying again??"
William nodded at him as Logan decided to wait outside. Beast gave a warm smile that would not be excepted due to his looks, "Well I wish you luck. I may not have met this girl personally but what I have heard from William she truely seem like kind woman. I would love to met her sometime." Beast was always warm heart to people and despite not meeting the young woman he was already developing a protective streak for her.
Xavier looked up to William, "You may come in if you wish. Just don't move." The Professor rolled up his wheelchair to the front of the console, preparing to turn on Cerebro.

The room quickly faded away as Xavier began to work. The world was laid out before them and shifted to Canada. Millions of white dots line the area. "These are all the humans in Canada and, " the white dots vanished and new red dots of just about equal number appeared, "Here are the mutants." Xavier began to scan each state of Canada, very, very slowly. After about an hour he withdrew from Cerebro and shook his head, "I am sorry William but I can't find her. If she was alive I would have."
The doors opened and Beast entered, shaking his head at Logan as he continue to wait outside. "William," spoke Beast, "How is it that you know she is a mutant. You mention her being in the hospital...why did you so? You said something about her being hit by car?"

"Yes. A few days before, professor Xavier, and Logan visited a small military camp. their reason was because a small band of mutants had attacked one of its neighbors. how exactly she got influenced by Logan i haven't been able to figure out. but after the camp was left to is own being proclaimed 'clean' of a mutant presence. even the professor could not sense her talents. so when i started i thought i was looking for a normal girl. but a few days after she got hit by a car, getting banged up pretty bad, she was in the emergency room for about six hours before hey let her out. and a day later she just disappeared from her bed. no letter no trace nothing but the image of her running out the front doors during a shift change." Letting out a soft sigh he moved back along he gang way towards he long halls behind them. "right now there is one thing that keeps bothering me, if i found her up to a few years ago. who else would want to fined her?" Leaving his question to that, as a hint of frustration peeked into his voice. mainly because the longer he was searching for her he harder the clues were to find, and worse of all they were normal things that were left. almost like someone as trying to cover up her tracks and just missed the crumbs.

Beast rubbed his chin as he went into deep thought. "I don't suppose you would know what her mutant ability might be. We are supposing she is one after all. You mention that she was hit by car correct and badly. Surely six hours would not safest for her to heal?" Beast point to the close doors behind them, "Logan want me to ask you if you thought she might have a healing ability. Like him?"

"Thats the best i can figure. she hasn't shown any different patterns indicating any other ability's." William comments a little hesitant but he was telling the truth he just didn't wan to assume right now what she could do.

Xavier looked up at William, "Of course. Logan, fifty years ago or more, was attacked up in Canada. Because of this attack he acquired his metal skeleton and claws. Rumors of an unknown man came out around that time as well, along with his research. This person was gathering up all the mutants with the Healing Factor. Because of this, the ability was all but becoming extinct. If she has this mutant power, and the people that did the research on those mutant are still around..."
Beast finished the sentence, "...Then she is defiantly in trouble. She would be first to have that power in over fifty years. To be able to heal from just about anything would provide the perfect test subject. The Heal Factor heals, but it doesn't stop the pain."
Xavier turned back to Cerebro, "Please, remain perfectly still. William please watch the images, you are the only one who will probably be able to recognize her if her physical appearance has change." Once again the room vanished and Xavier began to scan Canada, but this time he imediately began to search specific area. This area was called Alkali Lake.

Watching the room for a few minuets as the lake got into view, and he saw a lot more faces that he expected. "I mean i know know its a nice rec. location but this is far to many." He thinks to himself as the professor concentrates on a large group and her face pops out for a split second. "There!" William nearly shouts out wanting to move closer but the knew it was not a good idea to.

The professor nearly lost his concentration at the outburst but was able to hold on as he brought the image back up. Before them sat a miserable young women. She looked to be about twenty years old, her body was battered and bruised with cuts and wounds all over. Her head was hung low with her hair hiding most of her facial features and the rest of her body that bare and without clothing. She was crying, her arms chain up and away from her sides as she leaned on her left hip and buryed her face on one of her biceps. She looked completely defeated and trying desperately make herself small and invisible.
Beast carefully stepped up for closer look at the black markings that adorned her skin from head to toe. "My word," he gasped, "Those are surgerical markings. Markings made to make sure you cut in the right spot. This poor woman, by the looks of things, has been in surgery multiple times and not in a good way. They couldn't be."
"They are," said Logan suddenly, "I remember that all to well. When they were graphing this damn metal to my bones. The pain is the only thing I remember of the experience."
Xavier looked up to William, "Are you positive it is her?"

Beast nodded and turned to William, "Meet you in the hanger, I will get my medical bag."

"Professor,... may i ask to go out alone on this one?" William asks calmly once every one else had left. "The larger of a group we take he harder is going to be to keep it quiet. also more than likely these people are going to be expecting company of some sort. i don't want to risk their lives for my hunch."

The professor looked up at him and shook his head, "No, you will need Beast to administer treat immediately to our young woman. It will most likely be needed. Also, this place will not be without it own anti-mutant military." Xavier rolled pasted him, "You are strong William, but I am not going to risk one of my xmen because one has taken an emotional attachment to the task at hand."
"...however, Rouge is in charge." With that Xavier lefted.

"Yes Sir." HE comments softly and soon walks out of the room letting he lrge door close behind him. heading to his room to change real quick into a dark red over coat, and a dried blood color for his pans, shoes and tie with a black shirt and top hat finishing it off he walked into the hanger wanting to get on the road but figured he was going to have to get a briefing first.
