It's nighttime and the moon is full and high in the stary sky. Zeques and his men head towards the last transmission from a scout team. Zeques's comlink chirped and he activated it. He could hear two voices. One was Jareld, one of the men in the scouting party and the other was a rebel leaders voice.
"More of us are coming. This planet will be ours!" "You lost this war before you started fool." The rebel leader then twisted her spear and killed Jareld. His helmet lights flicked and died. Then the rebel leader started floating into the air, a blue light surrounding her. Zeques and his men were headed into the direction of the transmission when they spotted the rebel leader. Zeques spoke into the comlink.
"Primary threat spotted." Another trooper answered him.
"Moving into position." Zeques looked at Kayled and nodded. Katled aimed his bolter at the rebel leader and spoke.
"Neutralizing."He started to pull the trigger, when a sniper round entered through his helmet and killed him. Zeques shouted.
"Take cover!" He and his men took up defensive position. Three enemy melee troops charged at them. Zeques yelled into the comlink.
"Strike from the sky brothers!" He looked at Garth who was holding a heavy bolter and nodded. Garth nodded back and they started to engage the enemy. As Zeques charged the three enemy melee troops, three of his battle brothers flew in and killed the closest melee enemy to Zeques.
The other two enemy troops engaged Zeques’s battle brothers in close range combat. Wes knocked one enemy down using his shoulder while Mike was stabbed and killed by the enemy. More enemy troops came out of the bushes. John killed one of the enemy melee troops using his chain-sword. John then engaged another melee trooper in close range combat, when sniper round bounced off his shoulder plate. Garth turned and fired his heavy bolter at the enemy sniper, killing the sniper. Garth looked to his right and saw an enemy teleport melee trooper charging him. He turned and started firing at his new opponent, but kept missing because of the enemy troopers teleport abilities. Then the trooper disappeared. Garth looked to his right and saw his enemy on top of a boulder. He turned to fire but when hit by the troopers shoulder lasers. Garth fell backwards onto the ground and was stabbed by the enemy trooper. When the trooper looked to his left at the battle, Zeques fired a single shot at the trooper’s head and killed him. Zeques started running away from two enemy melee troopers. When he pasted a large boulder a juggernaut, broke through and grabbed the two troopers chasing Zeques and spoke.
”I’ve come to destroy you.” He crushed on with his hand and burned the other with his flamethrower. Zeques and Wes charged at the Rebel leader while firing their weapons. The rebel leader turned and short lighting at Wes killing him. Zeques was close to the rebel when she started shooting him with lightning. Zeques swung his chain-sword and make contact with her stomach, causing her to fall down and lay on her back. Zeques fell to one knee. Blood was rushing from the rebels wound. Zeques took in a long strong breath of air and started to stand. As he stood up he spoke.
"This planet is ours witch!" The rebel leader struggled to speak. She raised her hand and pointed into the sky. As she did that she spoke.
"No this planet is theirs." Zeques looked up at the sky trying to see what she was pointing at, but he could not find it. Unknowing to his a large beast started rising behind him. He heard a hissing noise and looked straight up, just in time to dodge the creature’s first attack. He could not dodged the sideways swipe from the beast’s second attack, which sent him flying about 25 feet from where he was originally standing. The force was so great it broke some of his ribs and caused him to drop his weapon. He looked up at the beast with blood dripping from his nose and cuts. The beast let out an unholy roar and slammed it’s front arms down. Zeques reached for his chain-sword and picked it up. He got to his feet as fast as he could and stared at the creature for a second, before he revved his chain-sword and charged the beast. Zeques dodged the first 2 attacks and swung his chain-sword sideways cutting off one of it’s legs. It howled in pain and attacked again. Zeques was able to evade the first attack but was unable to dodge the second. The creature’s arm slammed Zeques against a rock and was about to finish the job when heavy bolter rounds as well as flamethrowers engulfed the creature killing it. Zeques stood and looked to see where the help had come from. He was shocked to see his father Kal Skirata and his groups of battle brothers helping his men finish things up.
"You really know how to throw a party Zeques!" Zeques chuckled and stumbled over to Kal and sat down.
"I have to show you up somehow Kal'buir." Skirata laughed and knelt down beside Zeques.
"Down show me up too much or you'll die of exhaustion." Zeques laughed and grabbed his side in pain. Skirata shook his head.
"Alright son, relax and get your surviving men together. We'll handle the rest." Zeques smiled and told his men to search for wound and help them. When the fighting was over they all got into some transports and headed back to their village.
