"... And when the brokenhearted people Living in this world agree, There will be an answer: Let it be ..."
‘What would you want people to remember you for?’
‘ I don’t know.’ He was of the ivy league crowd, but of the street blood. That was all anyone could think to say when they heard the news. His habits destroyed him, some would cry, but no one could ever be sure. He was a bright boy. His intellect was as sharp as knives, but only in the sense of witty cunning. He had a way with words, a way with looks – and behind a devilish smile was a Casanova eager for the great unknowns of life’s limitless journeys. But he was young, and he was a weary island filled with secrets taken to the depths of his own sea.
Thomas Harvard Shire was a budding law student prior to his death. Over-zealous and proud, some said that he would do anything to win a game. He was relentlessly vain. The sort who took great caution with his reputation, and, as such, he was the sort to be sucked into the wild antics of crazy young college boys. He was a trouble-maker at the core, and his troubled state had never led to peace of mind. He was a gambler, a drinker. He was a loon, some would eventually write – but to others, he was an honest friend. Of the undisputed facts, Thomas was not particularly book-smart. He was good at speaking, but the words could only carry him so far – nevertheless, he seemed perfectly contented in his scattered happiness; thus it came as a surprise when, on a cold winter day, he was found dead within an apartment he shared with a fellow classmate and friend. Precisely what triggered his suicide was never uncovered, but the ruling on the cause of death was a prescription drug overdose. ' I've got cat class, and I got cat style! '
' I don't bother chasin' mice around ... ' Mr. Jingles was an innocent tom-cat. He prowled the parking lot just beyond the old apartment complex, seeking the things all cats sought. Food, women, and drink. It was a simple life without complications for the orange tabby cat, and equally luxurious as he inevitably took refuge with a young college boy who decided that he wanted a cat. What secrets Mr. Jingles could have told the world is for anyone to guess, but as any would have said for him: he was more feisty and bold than his name would ever let on.
A tabby cat is a cat with a distinctive coat that features stripes, dots, or swirling patterns. Tabbies are sometimes erroneously assumed to be a breed of cat. In fact, the tabby pattern is a naturally occurring feature that may be the original coloration of the domestic cat’s distant ancestors. Tabby color is found in many breeds of cat, as well as among the general mixed-breed population. When cats are allowed to breed randomly, the coloration of the population tends toward brown mackerel tabbies with green eyes. However, as tabby is a simple coat pattern, color of the cat tends to be irrelevant. The tabby pattern appears on cats of all colors (including tortoise shell), though it is absent in the face of white fur.

“… I ain’t got no matches, but I sure got a long way to go …” Name: Jonathan Walker Willowbrook Pronunciation: Jaw.Niff.Awn. Will.Oh.Broo.Ck Alias: Jonathan Age: 24 D.o.B: December 15th Species: Human. Sex: Male. Occupation: Law Student Residence: Apartment Complex
Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Build: Average Unique Marks: --- Height: --- Weight: --- Attire: Semi-Formal Habits: Scratches behind his ears when upset Hobbies: Bowling, writing Dislikes: --- Conceptual Theme: | There are Places I Remember - The Beatles | | Matchbox - The Beatles | | Most of All You - Bill Medley |
Personality: A conflicted individual with skewed notions on how to live his life or what his purpose may be. Jonathan's a rather mature young man undergoing what can only be described as growing pains; as the result, he tends to be somewhat rigid or controlled, though on the inside, it's more than evident he was not always that way, and doesn't find it particularly satisfactory. He enjoys a number of unusual things, and is incredibly fond of card games, though he claims he gave up gambling once and for all, just as avidly as he reached a verdict for abstinence of alcohol and tobacco.
For as serious as he tries to be, Jonathan can be loose and somewhat easily manipulated into something of a fun game. He loves to laugh, and doing ridiculous things like chasing pigs around the courtyard of his university makes for interesting stories on his behalf if he can be coerced into it. He finds joy in simple pleasures, nevertheless, or the company of good friends. He depends on them, hardly being the sort to take any form of an action without pressure or a nudge to help him along the way. He can be described as a simple man, taking very little, and supposedly requiring nothing material, though he may joke about the bonuses of a future career in law - particularly expensive cars and the opportunities of meeting an endless onslaught of rich heiresses with parents wanting to pawn them off on doctors and lawyers. He's an aspiring prosecutor with rather idealistic views about the justice system, which, consequentially, doesn't assist him in standing out of the crowd as a promising individual, though he is incredibly bright and well-composed in justifying a case. Jonathan tends to be meticulous, with information, with his belongings, with everything. He often has an order a method to what he is doing, and his habitual tendencies make him predictable for those who observe him or know his tellings. He speaks with his eyes, or that's how most would put it.
He's hardly athletic, but he does enjoy bowling and baseball, participating in the former, and only standing as a life-long fan of the latter. He can be competitive and somewhat hard-headed when it comes to his sports teams, though, for the most part, he's mild-mannered and doesn't have an extensive temper.
Background: Jonathan was raised in a quiet suburban community, living what he would describe as an ordinary life of little interest. His father was a patrol officer, his mother a nurse, and he was an only child contented with their spoilings and good fortune, though they were never rich. Around the age of seven, a particularly well-off and known family moved into the house across the street, and Jonathan formulated a bond with their two children, Thomas and Danielle, who would inevitably become the catalyzing forces of his life. He often got into mischief with the two, though their trouble-making was confined to less than serious ding-dong ditching or placing bags on the feet of loose animals in the neighborhood.
During their young years, Thomas and Jonathan both decided that they wanted to do something exciting for a career. Jonathan wanted to be a police officer, and Thomas claimed that he just wanted to be famous. Somewhere along the line, the two found a fancy for public speech, debate, and law, taking up an avid fascination with going into law careers - and through some miraculous feat, the both of them managed to get into a rather prestigious school (it's estimated that strings were pulled on Jonathan's behalf). The two moved into an apartment complex together and set out to begin the careers, only to be swept up by the fast-paced nonsense of ivy league and university life. Jonathan was addicted to the social nature of it all, but the wild partying and silly antics were shot down in an instant when his childhood friend and room-mate was found to have committed suicide, forcing Jonathan into his own soul-searching predicaments that he hasn't escaped.

"... He say: "I know you, you know me" One thing I can tell you is you got to be free Come together, right now, over me ..." Jacob Maxwell - One of Jonathan's good friends. Jacob is a photography student trying his hand towards photo journalism. He's a rather avid young man with a quirky sense of humor and up-and-at-'em personality. It's difficult to catch Jacob off guard, and it's equally as difficult to phase the careful shield of optimism he has worked to construct.
Danielle Shire - The twin sister of Jonathan's deceased room-mate. Danielle does not attend school and spends her time working with flowers at her grandparents' shop. She's an avid songwriter, though rather disinterested in developing a long-term career out of the matter. Some might suggest that she is aimless. She tends to be forward and rather unforgiving, though her intentions scarcely seem to be ill.
