Jonquil wasn't a Soquili who often felt that he was lonely; he was firm believer that one could never be lonely as long as there was time for introspection, and he spent a good deal of his own personal time - roughly half - simply by himself, thinking about any manner of things. He thought it kept him relatively grounded in a world where it seemed too many were concerned with flighty things, and that aside, he just liked to have time to himself. Whether he was thinking about something as serious as growing old or something as lighthearted as guessing which flowers were slumbering beneath the snow, he never failed to entertain himself if the desire was strong enough. Still, some days he thought it was best to have company.
Today was one of those days.
He was a sociable stallion by nature, not shy in the least, but not overbearing either; he was simply friendly and enjoyed the company of others, and didn't hesitate to let them know. He hoped that he came across that way, anyhow. He'd never put a great deal of thought into it, simply acted the way he felt, but he'd never had someone tell him he was overbearing before.
That in mind, he held his head up high and fairly well pranced across the landscape, hoping to run into someone he hadn't met before. Life was much more interesting when you surrounded yourself with the unknown, and while he was an avid fan of exploring nature, he also enjoyed getting to know unique Soquili. Since each one was unique, he figured he had a lifetime's worth of work set aside for him - and there was no better time than the present to get started.
Spying a stallion not too far from him and not immeditely recognizing him, he slowed his pace to a gentle meander, taking in the other's appearance as he did so. All in all, he didn't look too busy, so there could be no harm in introducing himself.
Pausing a few feet away from the other stallion, he swished his tail and canted his head, expression pleasant. "Hello."
