Age: Child (~7/8 )

Virtue: Humility
Unique Physical Attributes: Green eyes w/black sclera, fangs, bat-like ears, small wings attatched at hips
Abilities: Able to unhinge jaw, able to see in the dark
Personality: Unlike his more confident brother, Teyr is extremely meek and timid. While he is not shy of people, he will usually follow the crowd and rarely if ever speaks his mind. He prefers other people to make decisions for him, even if he is unhappy with the results. Though on the surface he appears shy, he really prefers to be around people, and needs to hear their approval at least once in a while to keep from thinking the worst. Teyr's biggest fear is that the people he cares about will start to hate him, so he does whatever he can to please them. That is, anything aside from giving up food, which for some reason is rationalized differently in Teyr's mind.
Likes: peppermints, Zwei, any kind of food, the color red
Dislikes: Lack of food, making decisions, isolation

Name: Ennea North
Meaning: "Nine" as a Greek Numeral
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown. Appears to be in her early twenties.
Species: Unknown. Definitely NOT human.
Residence: 753 White Birch Street, Durem
Occupation: Shop Assistant
Unique Physical Attributes: In her true form, Ennea is a sort of humanoid, albeit one with a tail, clawed feet, and wing-like ears. Her lower half is more animalistic and covered with a fine white hair. She has a long tail, also white with black near the tip, but scaled instead of furred. Her top half is quite humanoid, but her skin is covered with a cloud-like pattern. She has wing-shaped growths where ears would normally be, but instead of feathers, they are made of a flexible membrane. Her thick white hair grows in a straight line along her head. When in her true form, Ennea does not wear any clothing aside from a plain white sash that covers her shoulders, chest, and waist.
A specially-made charm allows Ennea to look like a human. In her human form, she has pale skin and short white hair. Aside from these somewhat uncommon features, she appears completely "normal" when wearing the charm. She tends to wear simple clothes in white and neutral colors, and always wears a pair of cracked, black-rimmed glasses.

Personality: Ennea was found unconscious in the yard of a retired soldier in September of 2008. When she awoke, she had no memories whatsoever. With few other options, her finder began the tedious task of teaching Ennea everything, including talking and walking. Fortunately, she learns at a much faster pace than most children and is currently able to take very basic care of herself and speak in simple sentences. Thus far, she has remembered nothing.
Her lack of memory causes her to have a child's fascination with the world. In Ennea's mind, anything is possible and everything is wondrous. However, she is also afraid of most things she does not know. She prefers to stick to her guardian, and mostly works with things he has expressly approved for her. She rarely ventures outside without him, though he has recently started encouraging these sorts of trips more and more. When with people she knows (very few, so far) she is affectionate and more talktative. With strangers, she is quiet and almost sullen, but it is more because she does not know what to say than her being anti-social. Because she is so unsure of herself, she most frequently hides when there is company, making her a very inefficient shop assistant.

Meaning: Bernard: Derived from the Germanic element bern "bear" combined with hard "brave, hardy"; Julius: From a Roman family name which was possibly derived from Greek ιουλος (ioulos) "downy-bearded". Alternatively, it could be related to the name of the Roman god Jupiter.

Species: A mixture of faerie races, largely Puca, Dwarf and Hobgoblin

Occupation: Soldier (retired), proprietor of an oddities shop
Physical Attributes: Bernard is a faerie mutt, so to speak, pulling his traits from several different races. In his home realm this is common; his appearance, however, is unusual even by their standards. His tapered ears and short tail are tipped with hair, once brown, it is now white like the rest of his hair. His skin was naturally dark, and is further tanned from long hours of outdoor training. His hair is now stiff and wiry, and has gone completely silvery-white. He sports several scars from battle, most notably one from his right eyebrow to his cheek, and a large one across his chest. While he still has musculature from his training, he is more frail than he once was; another injury requires the use of a cane if he wants to walk for prolonged periods. Bernard tends to wear plain, more old-fashioned clothing in browns and black. He wears silver-rimmed half-moon glasses for reading, and for regular sight with increasing frequency. Despite his aging, he is still physically fit and often carries a sword, more for reasons of comfort than security.
Brief History: Bernard Julius North was a soldier for nearly forty years, enlisting when he was twenty-five and only retiring two years ago. In his youth, he was apprenticed to a blacksmith before he decided he did not have the talent required to pursue it professionally. After his apprenticeship was over, he traveled for several years before finally finding his calling. He quickly climbed the ranks, proving himself a capable tactician and a stellar swordsman. As years passed, he began to work more with firearms and tactics, though swords were still his passion. Just after his fiftieth birthday, Bernard was unofficially retired from the front lines. He continued to be a battlefield tactician and showed his skills there, continuing to climb ranks. At the time of his official retirement, he was a highly decorated Lieutenant General, and the army of his home realm continues to call on him for advice.
Shortly after his in Gaia arrival, Bernard purchased a well-sized house in Durem, and converted the bottom floor into a shop where he could sell some of the unusual things he picked up on his travels, as well as items imported from his home realm. One fall day, he found a strange creature in his yard. After much useless talk, he decided that rather than turning her over to the authorities, he would try to rehabilitate her on his own. He named her Ennea, and treated her like a daughter, taking some amount of pleasure and pride in her accomplishments.
Personality: Generally speaking, Bernard is a grumpy old man. He's the man who yells at kids to get off his lawn, to stop touching his books, and to leave him the hell alone. This is not a facade or a coping mechanism; he's just crotchety and easily annoyed, even with those who know him well. While occasionally he can show his soft side, usually to his family, this is pretty rare. He's still very much a military man, and thrives on order and routine. Unlike most junk shops, his is neat and he knows where everything is. His shopkeeping manners are a bit stunted, and in fact he is somewhat awkward in any situation where he has to be social. For the most part, he just doesn't like dealing with people, and prefers staying home with his swords and his books.
