((This rp is for the contest. We will have it wrapped up on Tuesday night to be turned in. Thank you.))
Stitches walked to the forest. There he had set out a blanket on top of the snow. Sure it was slightly cold, but what better way to be all snuggly with the one he loved. Sure, he loved himself but he loved his family and mate just as much.
Stitches had a bottle of sparking white grape juice, Mina wouldn't give him anything harder then that, cheese and cracker with meats. He looked up at the already dark sky. It was full of sparkling stars just prefect for a New Year's Night.

Trixie pouted as she made her way across the snow. She didn't like it on her paws it was way to cold. Why did Stitches want to come out in this any ways? They could have just stayed inside. She padded towards where Stitches said to meet him. She looked around not spotting him. "Stitches?!!?"

Stitches heard a voice and sat up. "Yes? Over here my love." He called with a small smile on his lips. He then made sure all the food was out and there was plenty of room on the blanket for the two of them.

Trixie looked over towards where she heard Stitches voice. She sighed and started padding through the snow once more. "I hate this stuff. It's getting stuck in my pads." She wandered up to the blanket then giggled. Alright this made her forget about the snow stuck between the pads on her feet. "Ohhh Stitches!!! This looks lovely." She pounced on him lovingly bitting his ear.

Stitches was pounced happily. "I'm glad you could make it. I hope the snow wasn't too bad for you." He chucked and nuzzled her neck. he didn't want to freeze Trixie, but he just thought that spending the night outside under the stars would be more special then watching a human ball drop.

Trixied licked Stitches' cheek. "I'll live. This makes it worth it." She smiled at him then snuggled against him. She peered around. "It's beautiful out here tonight isn't it?"

"Yes, the snow and the stars are beautiful. Not as much as you are, but close." He then pawed the food and drinks towards Trixie. "Think it's so peaceful out here it's like we are the only ones going into the new year."

Trixie smiled at Stitches. "Well they are almost as beautiful as you are also. Well this shall be our special little world to enjoy the New Year celebration in." She got a grin on her face then picked up a peice of meat and held it in her mouth for Stitches to take a bite of. This was such a perfect romantic picinic in her eyes.

Stiched nodded. That was just what he was hoping for. Sure he loved Harley and Taro, but this was a romantic night to be with his love. The family could do the next holiday, unless it was Valentine's Day... "Yea, our new years. The best year."
Stitches then took a bite of the meat with a small lick on her cheek.

Trixie giggled then ate the rest of the meat. "I'm so happy you did this. It's better then being stuck inside with those silly humans. They sure are making a big fuss. And they also look rediculous in those clothes!!" She nuzzled him under the neck. "I think this shall be a perfect start to the New Year. Remember last year? I ended up carrying our children around this time." She blinked thinking a minute. "Ohhh Stitches they are almost a year old!!"

Stitches nodded. "Yep, they are almost a year old. How time flies. It seems like only yesterday we were babies eating our familiars. Now we are elders with adult children. How did that happen?" He chuckled as he saw Scar floating near by.

Trixie shrugs a bit. "I dunno honestly. At times I wish I could get it back. Taro grew up way to fast." She glared at Scar. "That thing still did something to Taro." She swatted at it. "What makes me sad is Taro prefers to be around Yori more then me."

Stitches looked at his familar. He never did understand why his son looked more like Scar then himself. He of course didn't think if was Trixie's doing, but that of the floating winged orb.
"Really? That is upsetting. Harley is always around me with Sarabi. I took her in when she was young. Seems more motherly then someone raise by me." Stitches chuckled.

Trixie sighs softly then nuzzles Stitches. "Maybe we should try again." She blushed a bit. "I mean only if you want more." She winked at him playfully. She suddenly pounced on him and bit his ear. "You know I'm betting nobody is looking for us. We could proable stay here all night and play around." Her ears went flat against her head as off in the distance the sounds of everyone screaming and cheering was heard. "Ugh must be that time." She looked up at the sky. "Ohhh Stitches look!! Fireworks!!"

Stitches chuckled. "I would love to spend the night with you." He then looked to the sky and saw the fireworks.
"I think it's time... 5...4...3...2...1!" He then looked to Trixie and gave her a nuzzle and a lick on the cheek. He saw amongst the fireworks a falling star. He closed his eyes and made a wish. "I wish for it to be a great new year." He then nuzzled Trixie again.
