I've always been curious of how this is going to end...I have a number of theories.
-Naruto will become Hokage, the Akatsuki will crumble, Sasuke will come home, and Konohagakure will remain intact.
-Sasuke will succeed in invading Konoha, he and Naruto will fight to the death. Sasuke dies, Danzou then attacks a weakened Naruto, and Danzou kills Naruto.
-Sasuke succeeds in invading Konoha, he and Naruto fight to the death, and Naruto is killed. Sasuke destroys Konoha, and all the other countries live happily ever after.
-Sasuke succeeds in invading Konoha WITH the Akatsuki, and Konoha is obliterated.
-Naruto gets caught on his way back to save Konoha from Pein by Sasuke and they fight it out.
-The Akatsuki catches Naruto on his way back from the Toad Sage place (for lack of better terminology) and nearly kills him, then brings him to their lair and extract the Kyuubi. Sakura, who seemingly has now fallen for Naruto (NOOOOO! NARUHINA FOREVER!), comes and performs the forbidden jutsu Chiyo came up with and Naruto is alive again. Naruto escapes from the Akatsuki's lair, and meets up with Sasuke in Konoha and they fight it out.
-In the case of Naruto winning, Konoha is saved and he becomes the next Hokage.
-In the case that Sasuke wins, Konoha is destroyed and the world ends.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Naruto will save Konohagakure from Pein. The rest is very unclear since the Hachibi (Kirabi) is still on the run, the Shinobi from Kumogakure have not yet reappeared. Sasuke still wants to take out the elders of konoha (not Konoha itself). Then there's still Tobi, Setzu, and Kisame from Akatsuki. I believe that Kisame will have to fight Suigetsu to the end, Sasuke will fight Madara and Setzu will fight Jugo. The real Pein has not yet been seen. And then there is still KABUTO/OROCHIMARU... Do not leave them out for they will return. Naruto will not be named HOKAGE just yet. Granny Tsunade still has some time and Naruto still needs to become Chunnin, LOL. Naruto is the strongest Gennin in the history of Konoha, LOL. The future is yet to be revealed... Just wait till next week for the MANGA that will put NARUTO in the right path, Naruto's power will finally match those of Jiraiya and the Minato (Yondaime = 4th Hokage). See you then... Happy holidays...

im guessing that naruto will face sasuke for the last time and since he ish the main carachter and died many times before im guessing that he will win cause the kyuubi and sasuke will lose and if he ish still alive after the fight he'll come back to the village the akatsuki go bye-bye and Naruto becomes the hokage and wat about kanahomaru is japan really gonna forget about him and just end the show cause isnt he supposed to bcome hokage next after naruto and doesnt sasuke already have to come back because of the shippuden movie 2
