Maera was traveling alone in the dark, as usual. She thought she had found love once again and had poured her heart out to that male, resulting in the birth of her two children. However, she had not seen him ever again since that night. She had just left one of her eggs, the girl, at the steps of his human's house for him to find. She didn't expect him to do much, but she would be watching over her from the shadows.
Yet, she traveled in the almost pure, winter darkness on her own, once more.

Inazuma was checking out his new stomping grounds and got lost. It was dark which he didn't mind but he was a bit worried he would get even more lost. He contined to walk, looking around to see if he could find something familiar; no luck. He started to think about the few namiah's he has met and how welcoming they were... 'Are they all like that?' He thought as he heard foot steps.

Maera's ears twitched as she heard some movement in the forest, and she went still. She slowly turned her head and stared unblinking into the darkness, searching for movement. There it was. She silently began to move closer, making sure that no trace of her was left, and that no sound was made.

Inazuma continued without a second thought... He had figured he was hearing things. "Maybe, I should just lay here and sleep till morning.... I can hardly see when it is this dark..." He said, talking to himself. He layed down and rested his head on his paws, listening to the wind. He then curled into a ball, keeping his ears open for danger; even though there hasn't be any danger since he had been there.

Maera smirked lightly as she carefully began to approach a yellow figure. He seemed to be alone, and of no threat from what she could tell. But then again, who really knows these days. She stood, staring at him with her slightly glowing, dailated eyes from behind a few leafless bushes.

Inazuma shivered then looked around. 'Who am I kidding, I can't see!' He thought as he layed his head back onto his paws. He tried to sleep but couldn't, he was on edge. He remembered that one of his new friends said there was really no danger in this area and he, being trusting, started to fall asleep.

Maera could tell that this male certainly did not appear to have at least the common sence that Blaze had had. Nobody in their right mind would ever fall asleep in the winter night without being in at least of a shelter of some kind, or with something to keep warm with. She tried to lean in a little closer to get a better look, but she winced as she stepped on a twig.

Inazuma jumped up and looked around, "I know I didn't just make that noise up in my head...." He said quietly to himself as he looked around. "Show yourself....!" He yelled, a bit frightened. He then took a deep breath and listened in to see if he could hear anything.

Maera's eyes narrowed as she cursed lightly to herself. How come there always has to be a random stick that she steps on whenever she's trying to observe someone? She needed to start being more careful. She continued to just stare there silently, unblinking, looking at him.

Inazuma figured that if whatever it is hasn't attacked him then he was safe for now. He curled back up and fell asleep, trusting of his surroundings; he kept his ears open just in case things weren't right. After all he did know where the noise came from.

Maera softly exhaled as she watched him settle back down. She had been unnoticed, for now that is. Yet, something intrigued her about him, he needed to be investigated more. She silently jumped in some empty branches and quietly moved in closer, her gaze focused on him all the while.

Inazuma's ears flicked as he picked up a faint scent. He didn't care very much and continued to lay down and relax. While relaxing he thought of what might be stalking him... The scent was sweet so either a girl or a gay boy....

(umm... Maera's scent isn't really sweet... It's more like the smell of fresh blood)
Maera finished her trek by pouncing onto some higher branches, ones that were right above him. Her dilated, red eyes glowed ever so slightly, making her whole presence chilling. Her tail flicked cautiously, and her ears were straight up, though all most would be able to see without a light of some sorts were her eyes.

Inazuma slept, not sure if he was really in harms way or not. He had figured that he might as well wait till morning. Chills went down his spine but he continued to lay there, resting.

Maera continued to watch him, before a smirk slowly spread across her face. She began to chuckle, softly at first, but growing louder. She threw her head back as the laugh echoed through the empty stillness in the forest.(her laugh sounds like the first one in this vid)
