Amelia walked across the steep, rocky hillside that led to her home. It was a small burrow lined with rabbit fur. It was cold when she entered but it soon warmed up. Amelia was used to her solitary life but did not, on the whole like it. She slept, then at daybreak she walked back out to the familiar hillside, looking for rodents, or with luck a rabbit.

Negelted RP! Well, a chance to revive it. XD Holiday Ginger sneaked along the edges of her territory, looking for prey. She hadn't had a good meal in a few days, and as such she was getting hungry. She heard a rustle in a bush to her right, and quickly tensed. She slowly crept up to the bush and pounced, taken by surprise when she found another fox.

Amelia was a little flustered after being pounced on but soon remebered her manners. "Hello," she said in a half cheerful, half watchful tone "How are you?" She was rather hoping that, despite the pouncing, the unfamiliar fox was friendly. She sat down gingerly.

Ginger quickly got off, and apologized. "Sorry about that, my names Holiday Ginger, ginger for short." She said. "Thought you were some prey, and pounced." She explained, hoping to clear this mishap up.

Amelia nodded. "Amelia," she said quickly "No problem at all. I'm about to start hunting, care to join?" Amelia smiled at Ginger, happy for some company even if they had pounced on her before introducing themselves.

"Sure. It's always better to hunt with someone else. Bigger prey comes down easier." She said, sniffing the air for any sign of prey in the area.

Amelia doubted that there were bigger prey on these rocky hills, but said nothing. She began to trot north-west of her burrow headed for an area that she had neglected hunting in for a while with hope that there would be more animals after she stopped prowling. She kept her nose high sniffing for any trace of an animal to become her next meal.

Ginger Followed, hoping that Amelia was leading to fertile ground, and fresh prey.

She smelled it before she saw it. Rabbit and from the pungent smell more than one. Amelia ran faster and then pounced on a rabbit. It was not fat, but it wasn't scraggly either. She ripped the rabbit in half and stood back to let Ginger have first pick.

A wicked smile formed on Ginger's maw, as she passed Amelia, have the smell of better prey in her head. She couched low as she picked up speed, pouncing into a bush. A brief fight could be heard, a single yelp was heard, and then a loud snarl as everything went quiet. She came out dragging a limp weasel. She dropped the weasel next to the rabbit. "Looks like you caught his prey." She noted, as it had be slinking off when she had caught him.

Amelia grinned back. "Toche." She said to Ginger "Which do you want or do we each get half of both?" Amelia's stomach rumbled. She may have a home here in the lowlands, but it was a lonely one. Maybe she should find a new one...

Sai had been training in the woods. He was finally happy to be away from that blasted Corvina who followed him around like they were already heading for mateship. He still was not ready for it, plus he didn't want an obsessed fox like her. It would be nice to have friends, but he didn't care so much. Most called him antisocial, but it didn't phase him at all.
Sai slashed down three pheasants before catching the scent of other foxes in the area. He twitched his ears back and forth before picking up his prey and jumping into the bushes hoping he wouldn't be seen.

Amelia lifted her snout at the scent of.. pheasant? That sounded quite good. She hurriedly devoured her rabbit, and followed the scent. It was behind the bush. She readied herself to pounce, then just before she jumped she smelled another scent...Fox! She walked around the bush and looked at the fox behind it. "Hello," She said quietly. She then sat down on her haunches and waited for a reply.

Sai turned around with feathers over his mouth preparing to strip the bird. He was a bit surprised that another fox had appeared. Nonetheless it wasn't a big deal to him. "Hello." He then continued to fix up the pheasant. "Um...do you want it?"

"No thanks," Amelia replied with a smile, "I just ate myself. May I ask your name?" She looked at him, he was a very polite fox, at least so far, and might make a good friend.
