I thought it'd be a good idea to have one official thread for everybody to introduce themselves in. Nikita brought that point up in her thread from last year (which I deleted-sorry Nikita, feel free to post it here!) so here is our official introduction thread!

Ok, I'll start with myself.
I am LPchickie and I am a mod here. I am a 21 year old college senior from VA, USA and I work part time as a photo girl and gifts clerk. I have been a NASCAR fan for a while now but just really got into it a couple years ago. I'm a huge Jr fan. xd I also like Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray, and Kasey Kahne. I go to the races as often as I can. I've been to Richmond quite a few times. It's the only track I've been to, but it helps that it's only a 45 minute drive for me to get there. biggrin I'm looking forward to the 2005 season and hopefully Jr winning his first championship!

Hello there, this is ya girl, Laura. I'm 19, and a freshman in college, and I have been into racing all my life, before Richard Petty retired, which is probably ancient for all of you. I got an autographed postcard from him in 1993, the year after he retired. After that, I didn't have a clear cut favorite until I switched to Earnhardt in 1996-1997. I actually used to despise him for tying Richard Petty's record number of championships, but it subsided.
Additional info about me, I'm what you might call transgendered, but I'm all female on the inside. Anyways, catch ya later!

(don't worry LP I'll just post here again then)
Okay so I'm a 19 year old swedish nascar fan (yepp swedish.. there are a few of us over here too!!!). I've been into racing for a few years and saw my first full nascar season in 2002, and quickly became a Jamie McMurray fan. Other than Jamie I also like Dale Jr (used to hate him but he's grown on me), Ricky Rudd and Rusty Wallace.. yhea kinda odd bunch but deal with it razz .
I graduated college at May 26th -04 as a truck mechanic and I'm currently unemployed sadly, but hopefully that will change soon.
Also as you migth have figured out I haven't been to a race yet but I'm hoping to go sometime next year or late this year if I can find money for it.

Nikita, I am wondering if your "college" is equivalent to our "high school" and our "college" equivalent to your "university" or whatever you call higher education there? Hmm...

Well thats where it gest complicated.. age wise our "college" equals your highschool, education wise it equals your college. After our "college" your ready to go straight to uni if you feel like it.. or well usually you have to to be able to get a decent job.... our school system is generally quite different from yours but "college" is as close i can come to putting a decent english word on it wink

Hey, Ponza here (formerly known as Wickedneoq on Gaia, that's my Xbox Live gamertag still)! My real name is Gordon, I'm nearing the ripe old age of 21 and I'm a redneck gamer... in other words, I play NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup and Halo 2 all week long. Halo 2, drool, my friends say I sound like Caboose from Red vs. Blue.
I work at a grocery store in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, in the seafood department. You could say I'm a fishmonger.
I'm an avid racing fan of many different series. CART, IRL, NASCAR, Trans Am, American Le Mans, Le Mans Endurance, and most of all, Formula 1 are all in my watching category. I keep track of Canadian news in racing, because us Canucks are a weird bunch of drivers.
I'm a Matt Kenseth fan (please don't boo, I've been a fan of his since 2002's The Winston), but I'm truly a Chevy guy. I wear either #17 hats or a yellow Chevy Corvette hat all the time anyways.

I"m Major Ursa from Highland Springs< Virginia. I"m a big fan of Nascar. My favorite driver is Rusty Wallace. I collect die-cast cars and other Nascar stuff. I also enjoy wacthing the old cartoons (yes some of the characters have been on many cars). I also build models. I can't wait for the next season to begin. (as soon as I get my new Nascar Press Guide and Yearbook.)

Hey every one! Im new here. Ive been a big NASCAR fan since i worked on the game. I used to rag on it a lot but now i love it. Tony Stewart is my fav driver. I also like Dale jr and Mark Truex jr. Ive only been to one race and that was the Pepsi 400 last year at Daytona. I live in Orlando and go to school at UCF. Hopefully i can get that summer job with EA again. Well thats that.

But I also follow Dale Jr, Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Bobby Labonte, Martin Truex Jr, and Rusty Wallace. My fav tracks are 'Dega, 'Tona, Bristol, Lowes and Texas.

Hi, all. You can call me Rini. I've been into NASCAR for a little over a year now. *is a Cup fan* It all started when my best friend brought me to the Brickyard 400 in '03. Before that I, like most people, thought racing was stupid. "Cars going round in circles," so to speak. After actually GOING to a race, however, I found that there's A LOT more to it than that. whee Anywho, I guess you could say my fav's are Jarrett and Johnson. Depending on my mood and the race, I can also be partial to Jr., Harvick, and even Gordon. (Disclaimer: I'm NOT limited to just those drivers... sweatdrop there's a lot of talent out there. 3nodding ) My likes are pretty much based on over-all talent, attitude, and some one-time miracles that they've pulled off. ninja
So, yeah. Forgive my newbish knowledge of the sport, and I hope I can learn a bit and get to know you guys! biggrin

Hi there, my name is Lauren. I just turned 19 and I go to an art school in Pittsburgh. I also work part-time as a housekeeper in a retirement home. I got into NASCAR in late 2001 because my mom started watching it and I picked Casey Atwood as my favorite driver. Obviously, since he isn't racing much anymore, I have several other guys that I follow including Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and Ryan Newman. I like most of the drivers but there are a few I can't stand. sweatdrop I like short track racing best. The only race I have been to was the 2003 Brickyard race but I am going to the race in Martinsville this fall. 3nodding
