PCG, what do you guys think it means to be pro choice?

Stupid question perhaps, but here is why I'm asking it:

I came across this one day (if you want to read my opinion, it's on thge second page, where it says Isis S. You can tell me what you thought if you want):

What Does It Mean to be Pro Choice?

This is the only person (who, judging by their post, is pro life) thinks that pro choice means pro abortion. What I want to know is why do so many pro lifers think that when someone says pro choice it automatically means this:

"I'm all for killing innocent babies."

And not this:

"I do not like abortion, no one does. But it should remain safe and legal, and I want women to be able to have that choice."

I've always wondered why do pro lifers think that pro choice means pro abortion. I mean, let me put it this way:

Say a woman gets pregnant, and she decides to keep the baby. Isn't she making a choice right then and there?

I hope I'm making sense.

But what do you guys think, in your own words, it means to be pro choice?

Okay, addressing the link: The "best answer" is far from being a best answer, as it was chosen by the Asker and therefore also extremely biased toward his own side. He's not looking for understanding or compromise--far from it. He's looking to hold onto his anger and moral outrage and villainize anyone who would dare to be pro-choice. It's much like that topic about the "UNITED States" stuff and those people automatically assuming that liberals (aka the 52) are evil persecutors. It's just another case of the "others" not wanting to cooperate with "us." (In quotes because I don't actually want to place anyone into two separate groups--we're much too diverse and complex for that.)
But I'm guessing there's no way to change the "best answer" to something else because I doubt yahoo is aptly promoting democracy...

To me, being pro-choice means I would rather support rights than restrict them--it means I recognize that there are many circumstances that could call for an abortion and I'm in no position to decide which circumstances (if any) should actually merit an abortion. Being pro-choice means I know I have no place to bring my beliefs and political positions into someone else's life and force them into an option that they don't want. I'm against forced abortion just as I am forced pregnancy/parenthood. Being pro-choice means I have confidence in a women's conscience and her understanding of the situation at hand enough to leave the decision to her. It means I allow for differences of opinions and beliefs instead trying to force mine into legislation, thereby forcing it on a nation. It almost means that I support education, sharing all the information (and most importantly truth) about sex, health, pregnancy, childcare, etc. Being pro-choice means that I'm a realist focused on the actual present instead of the potential future who recognizes that nothing of mine belongs in the business of anyone else.
