Alti sat on the edge of a cliff, his paw hanging off and his chin hovering over the edge. His eyes were closed but his breathing was not slow enough to give the illusion of sleep. He was simply relaxing in the sun that warmed his wings and made the water a few feet below glitter beautifully.
He'd been doing a lot of this 'relaxing' a lot. Acantha said he was getting lazy. He thought he was just getting old. That's what old lions did right? They relaxed.
In any case, he supposed he was happy with his life right now, if not a little lonely. He could help but think about the girl he'd liked as a cub and the lioness, Maggrat. He wondered where she could be now a days. Perhaps she'd settled down with a nice male. That would be good for her. He smiled softly as his thoughts drifted to an image of a very happy Maggrat with a little of little green cubs. She'd be a beautiful mother. He'd have to find her and see what she was up to one of these days.

On the other side of things Maggrat sat lapping at a hollowed coconut filled with hot tea, Artemis had assured her when they first met that a good cup'a' tea could fix anything, even the loneliness that dwelled inside her. It wasn't that she'd been keeping herself overly busy but as the days went on and Artemis would take her on occasional trips she saw the freedom that so many had. The freedom that was slowly dawning on her, that she didn't have. She'd considered leaving the old lioness and trying it on her own but she hadn't much thought about where to go, and at least she was learning here. Learning about the Isles, it's herbs, their healing property's and even invoking visions with them it was all rather interested but it was just the two of them.
Two lionesses living in one hut, it was cozy and offered plenty enough shelter but there was a very apparent age difference. Artemis was aging rapidly and on a visit to a pride she'd realised just how old her friends, however little there may be of them, all seemed to be passing or already gone. Death she'd say was nothing to fear but nothing she had interest in just yet, however mystical the older lioness be Maggrat had to wonder just how long she did have left, and what would happen to her?
Maggrat however was just entering her maturity yet she'd never really had many experiences, she wasn't a teen anymore more the content adult, content stated loosely. Her mistress didn't mis treat her but it wasn't as if they were family and there were still times after all the months and years that it was awkward.
Letting out a sigh and staring into her tea she looked around, Artemis was out... again. Left her here to do chores and collect some ingredients, she'd get to them soon after her tea, actually the fresh air would probably do her good so she'd start with the collection. Taking a few more laps of the tea she got to her feet, grabbing the shell and placing it in it's place to later be washed by... you guessed it, her. Then turning she left the hut, slightly squinting at the bright sunlight and carried on keeping her head low, she had thought about Alti a lot before seeing the Pride but since then only a slight depression seemed to haunt her and it was more likely due to the things she had to see to and deal with.
