April 15th 2006-
We are pursuing a Mew through the Mirage Forest. For future reference Mirage Forest is north of Kanto, it is the border that separates Kanto from the area known as Holon.
April 20th 2006-
We lost track of Mew, we have reason to believe that it is still in Mirage Forest. So we are setting up camp here.
April 30th 2006-
We have decided to set up a permanent town in this area, the Fauna and Flora of this area are like nothing we've ever seen. We are still searching for Mew. We are building a tower called Holon Tower. We absolutely MUST find Mew!
May 7th 2006-
One of our exploration teams have found an island full of naturally growing Crystals. These Crystals contain immense amounts of energy! We are looking into using these to power our Holon Tower.
May 14th 2006-
We are beginning work on our Electro Magnetic Search Machine or EMS for short. This machine can find ANY Pokemon anywhere in the world!
May 26th 2006-
We ran our first test of the EMS, it failed dramatically. On another note, the Scientists Pokemon who where on them at the time have begun acting oddly...
June 1st 2006-
All Pokemon that were present when the EMS failed have changed! A Magnemite that was there now can use Fire moves, and is hot to the touch, like a Fire Type Pokemon, researchers are looking into these oddities.
June 14th 2006-
A huge tropical system ravaged our settlement! Holon Tower is heavily damaged, but can be recovered. We have to rebuild the EMS for the third time...
July 15th 2006-
The Holon Tower has been rebuilt along with the rest of the settlement. We are going to rebuild the EMS with some of the new parts our employer sent us. This will take no longer than a month.
August 15th 2006-
We have successfully rebuilt the EMS! We will be using it to find Mew tomorrow.
August 17th 2006-
We did it! We found Mew and Caught it! It is acting oddly however.
August 18th 2006-
All Pokemon in the area are acting oddly! Oddish are swimming about the lake nearby. There was a Slugma made of Mud that I saw, and for some reason there was a Piplup who was living in a tree!
August 29th 2006-
Without knowing it we created a new type of Pokemon. We have dubbed them the Delta Species.
We are doing research on the Delta Species.
September 19th 2006-
We have lots of new information on the Delta Species!
1. When exposed to the Electromagnetic wave that the EMS made the Pokemon in the area had their types changed.
2.What type a Pokemon becomes is seemingly random.
3.If a Pokemon was a Dual type, it becomes a single type. A Lotad was changed to a Pure Rock type, but it was a Water/Grass type before.
4.Pokemon that are owned by a trainer and Evolve will gain Steel type with their Delta Species type.
5.The Eevee Species seems to not be affected by the EMS. Although its evolutions have a chance of gaining Steel type along side of their normal type. Very odd...
6.Delta Species are very Jealousy-prone, if owned by the same trainer. Thus we have ruled that a Trainer may only own 1 Delta Species Pokemon at a time.
We are doing further research into this.
October 13th 2006-
We found an Island near the crystal Island. This Island contains what appears to be Natural Delta Species, The center of the island has a cave with a Giant crystal in it, which emits the exact same waves as the ones used by our EMS. There are Normal Pokemon on this Island as well as the Delta Species.
November 1st 2006-
The World Pokemon Association somehow found out about our EMS. But Since Delta Species appear to be natural, they have allowed us to keep doing research. They agreed to keep this area a secret.
November 12th 2006-
Various reports of Mythical Pokemon have been reported, although they are reportedly Delta Species.
November 20th 2006-
I feel like something big is going to happen soon, Our Employer will be coming on April 15th of Next year. He wants to take the Mew we caught, but he also wants more research on the Delta Species.
December 1st 2006-
A Sandstorm started today. Very odd weather Holon experiences...
December 3rd 2006-
A Hippopotas-Delta was found, It was Ice type, but it still retained its Sand Stream Ability.
Funny little thing.
December 15th 2006-
We have started breeding Pokemon while exposing them to the Electromagnetic waves.
December 20th 2006-
The Pokemon Bred under the exposure of the EM waves have no changes and are not Delta Species. It appears you cannot breed Delta Species to make Delta Species.
January 1st 2007-
The Delta Species around the area and islands are getting more and more restless. I feel like something terrible is going to happen. As such I have ordered security to be tightened.
January 15th 2007-
I knew it! Someone over the course of a night stole the entire EMS Machine and the huge Crystal on the 2nd Island! Who knows whats going to happen now...
January 19th 2007- Our Employer is very nonchalant at the loss of the EMS, he keeps making sure we have Mew and the Research, calling everyday.
Febuary 1st 2007-
We now know what happened to the EMS...
Someone has used it and the Huge crystal and bathed a good majority of the world with the EM Waves...
It wasn't as powerful, so not every Pokemon were turned Delta. Although most trainers now own 1 Delta Species Pokemon...
Febuary 2nd 2007-
A huge Seismic tremor split Holon from Kanto! Holon is now an island! Holon drifted 15 miles north, oddly enough the two island near Holon remained in their same positions relative to Holon. This defies all scientific reason...

Yes, this is a Roleplay based on the concept that the Pokemon TCG introduced us to.
Basically Delta Species Pokemon are Pokemon that are not of their type. As the Above will tell you.
Now for the rules of this RP.
0.All usual RP rules.(No cybering, godmodding, Autohitting, ETC.)
1.No one is allowed to be part of the research team that went to Holon for the first time.
2.Your Character may only own 1 Delta Species Pokemon.
3.You can make whatever alterations to your Pokemon to make them more of the type they are now.
4.Please don't change the plot too much. sub-plots involving your characters are okay, but not when it changes the plot entirely.
5.No catching or owning Legendary Pokemon. For now...

2 Months later...
April 5th 2007
Tons of trainers lined were gathered at a newly built dock on the shores of the northern end of Kanto. Many were holding Peculiar Pokemon. Right after the Holon Island Incident The World Pokemon Association released all the info the scientists had gathered about the Delta Species. Pokedexes were updated to recognize Delta Pokemon, and All Pokeballs had to be recalled to force the "One Delta Species per trainer" rule.
A Boy in a long Black jacket stood near the front of the crowd, his Umbreon by his side and his Mothim-Delta on his head."This should be interesting."The boy noted, looking around the crowd.
"Why's that Blue?"His umbreon asked.
"Well, Blakki, this is the first time trainers will be let loose on Holon. There's been rumors floating around that Legendary-Delta Species Pokemon are inhabiting the Island of Holon. And People are curious of the origins of their Delta Species Pokemon."Blue explained to his Umbreon.
The Umbreon frowned."The WPA were very shady about why Delta Species Pokemon are everywhere now. And why not all Pokemon were affected."The Umbreon added.
"This will take awhile."Blue said with a sigh."I wonder if the same scene is being played out in other regions."Blue wondered, looking at the sky.

Cole stood in the line, a Delta Shuckle was on top of his backpack, due to it being a steel type, it pushed the bag down, but Cole would be able to tell if someone tried to take the Shuckle because he would notice if the Shuckle's weight disappeared. "Wonder what this place that were going to looks like..." Cole muttered to himself, the Shuckle was watching the people in the line with interest.

Robert stood in line. He wanted to find out what had happened that altered his beloved Nidoqueen into a psychic type. Before the events took place, she was one of his primary second-round combatants in the contest arenas. But now that she had gained an unnatural advantage over types that she would normally be weak to, Robert began to feel as though using her in contests would be cheating. He wanted to see if there was any way to restore her to normal. If not, he would have to stick with using her in the appeal rounds instead. At his sides were Lilly and Zack, his Gardevoir and Lucario. He kept them outside of thier balls most of the time because of the strong bond they shared with each other. They were his first pokemon, and friends even before that.
But that was not the only reason he came. He also came to compete in the Kanto Contest circut.

"Attention all trainers! Please present your Upgraded Generation 4 Pokedex before you are admitted onto the boat!"An Official looking person yelled into a megaphone.
"Goody."Blue said pulling out his Pokedex, he opened it up, and began walking forward, not by his choice, as the crowd was starting to rush a little. He handed his Pokedex over to a man in a labcoat. The man looked at the Pokedex for a minute, flipped through several screens and handed it back.
"Thank you Mr.Tomoshibi, You may Board, Please recall all Delta Species Pokemon under your care."The Scientist said.
"What about Non-Delta Species?"Blue asked.
"They may stay out as long as they are not too heavy or large."The scientist replied.
"Sorry Mothim."Blue said, Recalling the sad looking pokemon back into his ball.

Cole showed the Pokedex to the man and got the same message as Blue, he boarded the boar and recalled his Shuckle, not taking a chance with letting out Mamoswine, he released Breloom instead, Cole grinned as he watched the Pokemon excitedly punch the air.

Julia was already in her pokeball, so his process wouldn't take very long. After presenting his pokedex to the scientist and recieving it back, Robert headed onto the boat as Lilly and Zack followed close behind him.
Once onboard, Robert turned to Zack and Lilly. "Alright, let's get some practice in while we wait for the ship to set sail." Robert said as he moved away from the crowds and over to a spot on the boat which didn't have anyone within 30 feet of it.
"Alright Lilly, curtain call. Use Magical Leaf and Psychic!" Robert spoke. Lilly began to dance and spin, releasing leaves all around her. Using psychic, she made the leaves follow her like an elegant series of scarves that moved with her as she danced with elegance and grace. At the end of the dance, she destroyed the leaves by intensifying the psychic attack she was originally using to control them.

Blue watched trainers board the ship, Blue was near the front."Hm."Blue pulled the Other three PokeBalls off of his belt."Ptera would start fights with everything that moves. So she can stay in her ball."Blue said, re-clipping a Quickball back to his belt."So Ketsuban and Shelly!"Blue threw the Pokeball and Netball into the air, releasing his Shellos and Porygon2. The blue shellos crawled onto Blakki's back.
"Get off."Blakki said.
[I love you]The shellos said in Pokemon.
Ketsuban floated next to Blue looking bored as ever.

Cole watched as his Breloom continued to punch the air but the Mushroom Pokemon lost his balance and stumbled backwards knocking into Blue's Ketsuban. "I'm sorry." Cole said running next to his Breloom to help the Pokemon up.

Robert smiled. "That was flawless Lilly. You're sure to win the first round competition." Robert spoke before looking at Zack. "Alright, now I want you to use bone club in union with extreeme speed." Robert spoke. Zack gave a nod as he created a staff of aura energy infused with the essence of ground energy and began to perform with his aura staff likea professional martial artist, using the extreeme speed to make the swings faster so that the glowing club would leave fading streaks through the air, giving both a focused attack performance and a light show at the same time. "Very nicely done Zack, well executed." He spoke. Zack gave a smile. "Thank you master." he replied, using his aura link to communicate with those around him, much like Lilly did when she used her psychic powers to communicate.

The Virtual Pokemon flashed for a moment and resumed looking bored. Its ability, Trace had activated and it copied the Breloom's Ability. "Is your Breloom okay?"Blue asked."What's your Breloom's ability?"Blue asked, hesitant to touch Ketsuban.
[Why am I called Shellos? I don't have a shell.]Shelly continued to ramble.
[Why does Arceus allow such an annoying thing to live?]Blakki said in Poke-speak so the Shellos could understand.

"He looks fine, his ability is Effect Spore I've that it comes in handy when fighting the Pokemon who rely on physical attacks more then special attacks." Cole answered. "Although, in training sessions, it can make things annoying because of having to go and buy more Full Heals." Cole said. "Uhh...Why is theres a Shellos on your back?" Cole asked.

"Ugh."Blue said recalling Ketsuban."Trace is a useful ability, but when things like that happen better safe than sorry."Blue said, remembering what happened when he patted Ketsuban's head after it traced Flame Body.
"That's its thing."Blakki stated to Cole. The umbreon tried to shake the shellos off to no avail."Blue, recall this thing."Blakki asked.
"Fine."Blue recalled his Shellos.
[FOR SOOTH!]The shellos shouted before being recalled.
