-Teirm Port-
The governor, Rowan, came to power over both of Farthen-Dur ports thirty years ago. Being single with no family, Rowan took leadership of both ports after the past governor and his family were burned alive in their home. The cause of burning was lead to believe it was from the passing storm that night, which lightning had struck down on the governor house. However, there are no firsthand accounts of seeing lightning hit the house. With the passing of former governor, his family running the ports ever since the war ended, Rowan was elected to the position after his running opponent suffered a heart attack. Being a party man, Rowan gives most of his governing tasks to his office helpers while he parties all night on the town.
Teirm is Farthen-Dur largest port, able to dock ships of all sizes and numbers in its deep waters. The Toark River flows into the sea directly next to Teirm and provides a transport route for smaller ships to go directly to Lake Leona and then to the Capital, Dras-Leona. This river also provides access to the Jiet River that begins on the other side of Lake Leona that goes directly into the southern portion of the sea. Both rivers are salt water.
Teirm port doesn’t do so much sea related catching as does it sister port Kuasta. Teirm port is mainly a means for large ships to dock and sell their goods to the rest of Farthen-Dur. Unlike Kuasta, Kosciec Beach is not accessible. Most of Teirm is on a ridge about twelve feet above the water that looks over the sea. Through massive and strenuous efforts order by the King more than eight hundred years ago, a large pathway was made down the ridge to sea below to make the port section of Teirm. The port section is mostly connected to the ridge through massive chains and bindings and floats on top of the water.
Five hundred years ago, Teirm was mostly burned to the ground. The reason for why the King stopped half way are unknown but Teirm was rebuilt and expanded slightly. Over all it kept it original layout and size. Most of the small city is inns and shops for the ships crews that come and dock at the port to restock, sell, and rest. Teirm main focus after all is their transport ships, thus making it the largest sea trading settlement.
Due to governor Rowan playboy nature and personality, Teirm has been left mostly to be run by its inhabitants. Sadly this has meant that the criminal empire that had began recently after war, has a bit stronger stance in this port than the other areas of Farthen-Dur other than Bullridge.
