Name : Louise "Lulu" Bijou Shapiro-Feret
Gender : Female
Age : Fifteen
Year : Fifth
House : Ravenclaw
Ethnicity : French/Spanish
Hair/Eye Color : Curly, white-blonde ringlets, shoulder-length/ Navy blue, bordering on cadet blue.
Pet : Anastasia, a sleek ginger Least Weasel, is the perfect match for Louise. When someone made up the oft-repeated statement, “Opposites attract,” they must have been thinking of Louise and Anastasia. A tiny but pugnacious animal, Anastasia has no issues with defending herself when the least amount of danger or irritation comes her way, which in turn gives her charm in the eyes of Louise, who herself would prefer to bottle up any conflict she has.
Home Life :
Estate:Living in Scotland, there was a wide real estate market open for business when Honorine was pregnant with Louise. Rollicking hills and lush valets decorated the Scottish landscape. However, Vito, Honorine, and six-year-old Marisol moved into a quaint two-story brick house with a turret and a solid wood fence surrounding the front and back yards. The plot of land is luckily grassy and fertile, giving way to Honorine’s old fondness planting various flowers and other plants. Louise’s room is the uppermost room, in the turret, which she is extremely fond of. The turret’s walls are made up nearly entirely of windows, except one cork panel, which takes away the need for wallpaper maintenance. The master suite is on the first floor, as are the laundry room and library. The second floor includes the kitchen, guest room, and private bathroom. Rabbits come and go as they please in the backyard, as Louise, Vito, and Honorine have little need for it, and Marisol no longer lives in Lhanbryde.
Dad: Vito Leocadio Shapiro, age 46. A quiet man, Vito dislikes conflict or dysfunction, instead preferring peace and order. When complications arise, he prefers to stay out of it rather than work it all out. However, he cares deeply for both of his daughters, no one outshining the other in his eyes. Although he is a tad disconnected, both his daughters love him very much. He works at Flourish and Blotts and so Apparates to work every day. He was a Ravenclaw when he went to Hogwarts, despite being born and raised in Spain.
Mum: Honorine Yvonne Shapiro nee Feret, 44 and still stunning. Her statuesque figure is the reason Marisol and Louise turned out so well looks-wise. It’s also the reason why she never worked a day in her life. She is more likely to kick up a fuss about one grain of rice than do something about her sloth. In life, Honorine had everything handed to her on a silver platter, including her marriage. Pregnancy suited her, and her figure is still amazing after two children. She never worried about anyone other than herself, excepting the appearance and seemliness of her husband and children. She is a stay-at-home mother, you could say, and an alumna of Beauxbatons.
Sister: Marisol Antoinette Shapiro-Quinsen, is engaged to her longtime boyfriend at the tender age of 21. Her parents think that might be a bit young, but she is of age and has complete liberty to do whatever she wants. As a student at Hogwarts, she was every bit the Ravenclaw: smart, witty, clever, creative, kind, musical…the list went on and on. She was, of course, a prefect and a wonderful Keeper for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Pretty, too, with a willowy figure, flowing copper hair, and bright blue eyes- closer to a sky blue than Louise’s navy. All this made Louise the secondhand sister, much to her dismay.
Diving deeper : Louise has, to put it bluntly, a Percy complex. She is the second-born child in a family of four, and takes after neither her father nor her mother in personality, rather being subconsciously influenced by her older sister. She strives to be the best at everything and anything she does, but it’s not obvious straight away. She takes time out of her personal life (or lack thereof) to make sure she does the very best possible.
She takes her life very seriously, seeking authenticity in her relationships with others. She looks for friends that understand her and look for more than a pretty face and a good snog. In her experience, she’s gotten along better with boys than girls because girls tend to want to talk about their feelings and keep grudges, whereas males fight externally, so she never had to try to hide her real feeling- because honestly, the guys didn’t care. She could easily tolerate friendly teasing, but the second someone tried to seriously insult her or feel her up: “I don’t think so.”
Lulu enjoys wet, rainy days, when the clouds are out covering the sky. Her loathing of sunshiny days stems from her irrefutable logic, “There are only so many layers of clothing you can take off before going totally starkers.” She likes to take walks in the rain because she finds them peaceful, and being alone outdoors makes it easier to think.
Louise hates the spotlight, but also hates being totally ignored. She would rather be the director than be onstage or in the audience. She’s an extreme ambitious, and a definite stickler for the rules. A career in the Ministry of Magic would just about make her have a nervy spaz in happiness. At the time of her third year, when new subjects began cropping up, she began to show a small streak of self-importance, as she kept getting top marks. She takes her studies very seriously, even to this day. Her favourite book is Prefects Who Gained Power.
She isn’t looking too hard for love, especially since most of her friends are boys, but would be open to anything that came her way. Although not a fan of prissy-girl magazines, she takes quizzes almost daily to try and find out who she is and why she seems to repel people so easily. She has a relatively slow temper and has good control of her emotions, so doesn’t see why this is so.
Lulu’s favourite colour is cornflower blue, close to her eye colour, and when she’s not in her Ravenclaw garb, she’ll usually wear a gold-bronze colour matched with royal pink, and cornflower. She dislikes wearing red (too bright), yellow (too stoplight), green (makes her look like a stalk of asparagus), or brown (…self explanatory).
Louise’s best subject is Herbology, even though it’s supposedly a “Hufflepuff” class. She’s easy with the plants and readily understands and learns new things about her surroundings. She loves the plants, even the poisonous or dangerous ones, and is great and handling them. A definite Ravenclaw, she was Sorted as such because her main traits were her goal-setting and hardworking-ness, and the fact that schoolwork and such always came first to ensure her place in the Wizarding World as an adult.
Her wand, Willow and Augurey feather, 11 inches, can cast a Patronus of a Least Weasel when Louise is up to it. She's not on the Quidditch team, as she’s terrified of being more than a few feet off the ground (at most) after she was the guinea pig in one of Marisol’s many Transfiguration projects.
She got her nickname, Lulu, when her sister tested out several charms on her all at once. The combination made her loopy as hell for several weeks, and didn’t do much to further Marisol’s life anyway.
Taking a closer look : Louise peeked out of her room, looking both ways. Her feet patted down the white shag carpet as she walked down the stairs into the hallway. A pink silk sarong tied over her head gave her a pirate look, jingling because of the strands of coins and beads attached to the edges. She slid into the warm library, her loose socks skidding now and then on the shiny hardwood flooring. Already wearing her school cloak, tie, and vest, she hopped, twirled, and spun around the room, her nose stuck firmly in Prefects Who Gained Power. Loose athletic shorts aside, Louise sang out loudly, “God I dreamed there was an angel/ Who could hear me through the wall/ As I cried out, like in Latin/ This is so not life at all…” Jumping off her father’s large leather armchair, she stuck her head out the doorway, making sure no one was around. She jumped back in the chair, sitting down and humming contentedly to herself.
[[ Sorry for the extreme length of this. I guess I got a bit carried away with this one. ;;^^ ]]
