 Demi looked around and let a sigh pass his lips. In his haste to escape Zeph he had gotten himself lost. Oh but he was not lost just anywhere no he was lost underground in a cave that he had never seen before. He was so deep down that the only light he had was from the glowing moss that covered the cavern walls. He had been wandering around for what seemed like hours now. He padded along silent as the night, Zeph was not so bad but sometimes he got a little clingy. Demi had grown use to having the other around all the time. However here lately Zeph's affection had seem to turn from kitish obsession to something more. This did not seem to sit well with Demi. He could not handle his bests friend's son falling for him. That would be just far to odd. Not that Demi really cared but he felt it might be best to not test Z on this matter. Demi strode into a larger cavern, he could not see the top of the cavern, it reached up far into darkness not even the moss had managed to creep that high. Rocks where strewn about and he picked a rather large one and lept up on it. He laid down and let his eyes slip shut. How could this possible get any worse?

 Kailec wandered thoughtlessly into an overly intriguing large opening. He had had too much of his siblings and parents, and pretty much everyone lately, and simply needed to escape from them. The opening was dark and damp, 'a cave?' It was certainly a possibility, in fact thats exactly what it looked like, and just what Kailec needed. He trodded slower as the light behind him dissipated. He suddenly wished he had one of his stuffed animals from his younger years with him, it had always been a security blanket, but he had abandoned it as he grew older. 'Meh, this doesnt look that bad, I should be able to find my way back out easy,' he thought. Well, as fate would have it, the cave was not as easy to navigate as Kailec had originally thought, he also realized his terrible sense of direction that day. 'Wonderful!...wonderful. What a tremendous ending to an amazing day. UGHHHH.' He let out a low whimper of defeat and curled up on a dry piece of ground he found in the corner of one of the larger cave branches. He had been feeling so lost lately, the only one who actually made him feel wanted was Demi. 'Demi' Kailec closed his eyes and pictured the colorful kitzune. He seemed to be Kale's new security blanket, and he wanted nothing more than to have Demi there with him at that moment.

Demi's ears caught the soft whisper of anothers feet on the rough floor. Lifting his head ever so slightly he inhaled deeply. Kail's scent hit him full force. A smile pulled at the corners of Demi's mouth. What was he doing in here? Of all the places he could be why in a cave. Ah well maybe he knew the way out? Doubtful but still worth a try and Demi though most of the time a very solitary creature, felt the need to hear someone elses voice. He felt very alone and it was such an odd feeling. He shook his head as he stood and padded towards where Kail was laying. "Kail, why are you down here?" Demi's voice was soft but emotionless. Demi felt the smallest twinge of guilt for not being happier in his greeting, but that was how he was with everyone else. Why should he make an exception for Kail? Hell he was even that way with Zeph and Zeph was around him ALL the time. Demi shook his head, greatfull for the darkness, he was thinking to much again.

Kailec's eyes popped wide open, all at once the overpowering scent of Demi, along with his whispering voice that sounded like a scream in the dead silence hit him like a bomb. He bit his tongue to keep from shrieking out of mental frustration, joy, surprise, and an odd beat in his heart. He shook his head and suddenly remembered that Demi was waiting for his answer. "I could say the same to you" he smirked, but then noticed the fact that it was practically pitch black and Demi couldnt see his expression. "As for me, i like to sporadically get lost in caves and dark places for fun. its a nice brain teaser." 'Of all the times and places, how in the hell did Demi and i end up in here together?' It amazed him to no end.

Demi snickered at Kail's comment. "I was escaping your brothers affections actually. Love the kid I do but sometimes he is a little to clingy." Demi said his voice blank. Demi padded over till he was sitting beside Kail. His tail touched Kail's hip making sure of the distance between them. Not wanting to trip over the younger male. "So I am guessing you don't have any idea how to get out of here then? It figures, guess we are stuck here alone until we either find a way out or get rescued. I am sure Zeph is bound to sniff me out eventually. He normally does, something about never leaving my side seems to give him a road map to where I am at all times." Demi let the smallest of sighs escape him. He would never understand Zeph's obsession with him, really he would not.

Kailec laughed lightly to himself, though he was sure Demi could hear since the cave was, a cave afterall and sounds were echoed quite easily. He could actually picture Zeph sniffing Demi out with a roadmap in his head. The thought made him grin in amusement. 'hmm and they call me the invading one' "Awwww its ok Demi, i'll protect you from the overlyloving brother of mine." Kail curled closer to him. It was strange, but he thought of himself as almost wanting to protect Demi from Zephyr so he could have Demi all to himself. 'Wait, what am i saying?' he shook his head again and let out a small sigh "I dont happen to know the way out. Apparently i have a worse directional system in my brain than i imagined. So we're gonna need to either keep looking or stay here and wait it out." He looked for a light, any light at all, but by that time the sun had started to set, so it was even darker than before, if that was possible.

Demi rolled his eyes and culled his tail around Kail. "I don't need protecting from him. Just a few moments alone here and there. He is not so bad once you get use to him." In truth Zeph was not THAT bad I mean he was worse then some, but better then others. In truth Demi had a slight attachment to Zeph. It was odd that after trying to get rid of him that he would actually come to enjoy having him around at times. Demi was so use to being the calm and confidant one that it was nice to have Zeph around. Zeph never seemed to care if Demi was off in some other world. Of course Demi enjoyed Kails company also, as different as it was from Zephs. Kail was much more 'calm' and less bouncy at times. They were as different as night and day yet Demi had the strangest affinity for both of them. "Well really its up to you what we do. I will let you take the lead that way if we get more lost I can blame you." Demi snickered at this amusement in his voice. "Why are you down here anyway? You never actually answered that question." Demi looked down at Kail who was curled up by his side. Much bigger then Demi yet the younger male seemed so small and fragile.

Kail smiled "I figured you didnt, and you're right. He's actually the one i get along with the easiest and best out of my brothers and sisters. Granted i dont see him that often since he's always off following SOMEone.."he slightly nudged Demi "but when i do see him its always fun" He began thinking about his siblings, Eri, the little sister who he always stood up for, Durion, the older brother who looked out for him and always fought with, but it was always playful [usually], and then there was Zeph. It was always fun and lighthearted with Zeph. They never took anything too seriously with eachother. He could see why Demi at least put up with him. "Sure sure, lets roam for a while and if we still just simply cannot, for the life of us find our way out, we'll wait." He slipped his tail around Demi's shoulder so he could feel easier. "And to be honest, i just needed to get away from people for a while. life drives me crazy sometimes like that ya know?" He began walking a slow, steady pace further into the darkness.

Demi stood and walked with Kail easily picking his way though the rocky area. His mind wandered to the rest of Kails family. There was Eri the little snoot and Durion who was to much like his father for his own good, and everyone elses for that matter. "Wonderful we are going to be thoroughly lost by the end of this. What are you trying to see how lost you can get us so it will take Zeph longer?" Demi said amusement evident in his voice. They walked father into the darkness soon even the glowing moss was becoming thinner. "Yeah I know the feeling. Having to just get away and have some time to yourself to think. It causes some problems at times but yeah. Who was giving you a hard time this time? Its ok if you ever need someone to talk to my ears are always here." Kail reminded Demi a lot of Z in his younger years when the kit was very unsure of himself.

Kail looked around with a blank stare, and he wasnt sure which emotion it was coming from. He guessed it was confusion, confusion over where they were, over where he was leading them, or over why he wasnt simply stopping because Demi was right. Taking his own thoughts into mind, he stopped walking, hoping Demi wouldnt bump into him, or trip over him, or something that would lead to falling onto the ground or into something. "I suppose you're right, at this rate Zeph will find us next month sometime." He lay down and looked up with wide eyes at Demi, he could almost make out his silhouette. He let out a slight sigh, "As for who was giving me a hard time, it wasnt really one person in particular, just a whole bunch of stuff the slowly piled up and i wasnt dealing with. I guess thats what i get for being a clam. Thanks though Dem. Anything you wanna talk about with me? like why YOU'RE down here? hmm? hmm?"

Demi nearly fell over Kail when he stopped. Lucky for Kail though Demi had excellent balance. Demi laid down next to Kail his head on his paws lost in thought. "Like what stuff?" Demi contemplated ignoring the last part of that but he figured they were alone and not going anywhere for awhile so why not give him something. "Actually I told you why I was down here. I was running from Zeph, his affections have grown more forceful as of late and it seems to be more then just kit obsession now. I am not sure how to take the fact that one of my best friends kids seems to be in love with me. I am not exactly the best person to be falling for nor is it good that its Zeph. He could do so much better and I am not even sure I return the feelings but telling Zeph that would do absolutely no good." A sigh escaped Demi that was the most he had opened up to anyone ever.

Kailec listened intently to Demi, and realized that it wasnt just his directionals that were failing him, it was simply his memory. So it was more in depth than just escaping Zeph, Zeph was falling, or had fallen in love with Demi, and Demi didnt know how to react. This was making more sense. Kail had known for a while that Zeph was gay, it was plainly printed upon his face, as much as he had tried to hide it [for a while at least] Nobody looked down upon him, i mean Demi, Z, and Kail himself were bi. He wasnt quite sure on the others. "Have you talked to Zeph about any of this?" he asked Demi, curiosity overtaking him. "i dont know enough about yours and his relationship to really say much on it, but if you gave me some background i may be able to give you something more to go on." He sighed. He wasnt quite sure why he kept sighing, but overlooked the random fact. 'I dont want Demi with Zeph. Demi is mine. Zeph is mine. They're mine!' he wanted to shout at Demi for an unknown reason, just a sudden outburst of anger, and he instantly felt ashamed for it. "and dont worry about me. its really nothing. i guess its just cuz i rarely see you and zeph lately. mom and dad are always gone, and it seems like the rest of the family is just kind of abandoning me. but its nothing i cant handle, really. just something i need to get over and learn to look past." Kailec felt a rush of emotion make his eyes tear up and feel as if he wanted to cry. 'i dont want to be alone' he thought.

Demi shook his head he was not about to tell Kail about his relationship with Zeph. That could lead to a very tight spot and that was somewhere he did not want to go. "Have you tried talking to Zeph about anything? He is not exactly the listening type. There is not much to tell about out background. Really its just been spent with him talking my ears off and wandering around. Sleeping close to each other is really the only contact we have." Demi stated in a deadpan. Here was hoping Kail did not try and delve any deeper then that. "Hey if you want you can travel around with Zeph and I. We would love to have you. Its not that they are abandoning you its just that you are older now and they don't feel they have to look after you all the time now. Soon you will find you a mate and settle down and start your own family and then you won't feel alone at all. You will be to busy to feel alone. You just have to wait for that special person to come along thats all. Until that time though you can always come with Zeph and I we would love to have you along for the ride." Demi looked like he was about to say more but close his mouth in exasperation. He then laid his ears back and gave a low growl at himself he had not talked that much in ages and had never opened up that much to anyone except Z but somehow Kail reminded him of Z when he had been a lost kit out in the wilds.

Kailec laid his chin on the ground supported between his paws. He stared at Demi as he spoke, because thats what he always did when someone talked, he couldnt help it, it was just a natural reflex. He had tried talking to Zeph before, and Demi had a point. That kit is as ADD as the sun is bright. He raised an eyebrow in the darkness as Demi mentioned them sleeping together, but decided not to question it. "I appreciate that Dem, really i do." He smiled vaguely, but didnt feel sincere happiness. He knew Demi was right, and let out a sigh, not about to tell him who he really wanted as his mate...He suddenly realized he had admitted that one thing that everyone had been wondering what was wrong with him lately. It had just kinda spilled out of his mouth, but he didnt regret telling Demi, since he trusted him, but didnt know why. "I guess you're right" he let out another sigh, louder this time. "I just wish i could tell you" he said it so low that it wouldnt have even been considered a whisper. He was sure Demi didnt hear it, at least, he hoped, instantly regretting the thought.

Demi shook his head, what was he going to do with this kid. The younger male seemed so very depressed and Demi was not the best when it came to things like this since he never really paid attention to his feelings let alone the feelings of others. Demi smiled into the darkness and nodded at Kail. He said something else very quietly and it took Demi a minuet to make sure Kail had said anything at all and then another one to figure out what he had said. At first he thought Kail had said 'I itch a flood sell flu.' Demi was very close to positive that that was not what Kail had said. Demi thought on it a moment and was sure he had what Kail had said. "You wish you could tell me what?" Demi asked in the softest of voices. He spoke softly and with out emotion in his voice even though his head was whirling with thoughts about what it was he could not be told and why Kail did not seem to cheer up at the prospect of a family and a mate.
